Happy What’s Up Wednesday!
If you don’t know, on the last Wednesday of every month, Sheaffer and I host this little linky party where we share what’s going on with us right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.
On this last day of June, here’s what’s up with us…
1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
We really can’t quit it with my Easy Greek Salad! We’re having it as a side with basically every meal this month. Sometimes, we even get wild and add fresh mozzarella instead of the feta 😉 .

2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
I’m still thinking about our trip to Mexico last week! It was really just so much FUN!!! I think it will honestly go down as one of our best vacations.
3: WHAT I’M LOVING:
Speaking of Mexico, I’ve shared this several times before, but I do think it needs to be featured again…
…this makeup case here goes with me everywhere! I just looked up my Amazon orders and it says that I bought this back in November 2019…I promise you, I’ve taken it with me on every trip since then. I used to always pack my makeup and carry it on because I was afraid it would get damaged in my suitcase, but not since I’ve been using this! I pack it all in there, put it in my suitcase and nothing has ever gotten damaged while traveling because it’s so sturdy and everything stays secure and protected. I love how the organizers can be pulled out and made into different configurations, I love that there is room for brushes in the lid portion…I love it all!
4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
We’ve had a fun week over here! On Sunday, Samuel came to hang out with his four big cousins, and we had a super fun time swimming, eating tacos and watching a movie followed by a sleepover and then a picnic and more swimming. Smith has been at church camp all week (it’s from 9 to 5 each day) and LOVES it, so the girls and I have been hanging out boy-free this week.
5: WHAT I’M DREADING:
Whew! We have some major Ashby things behind us right now. Yesterday, we went for another checkup and between her meds and the compression garment, we’re doing GREAT! We currently don’t have any surgeries scheduled!! Friends! This will be the longest stretch Ashby has ever gone without a surgery!! We’re so excited!!
6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
I hope you are loving The Bestie Breakdown podcast as much as we are!! We are working SO hard on it every day!! Over the weekend, we asked you what you wanted us to “break down”, and I was thrilled with the responses! Thank you so much to everyone who gave us feedback! We have had so much fun putting it together each week!
7: WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
I just love this picture so much. These are my grandparents in Hawaii with me back in 1994 when they took me on my “grandparent trip”. When I look at this picture, I get all the happy feels.
My parents are continuing the tradition of taking grandkids on solo trips when they turn 10, and in 2019, they took Miss Kensington on her trip to Hawaii (she picked the same place I did as a kid!), but Smith’s trip was cancelled last year due to COVID. BUT, it’s a new day and Smith is just about to leave on his special trip!! I’ll save the destination until he’s back, but let me just say that I don’t think I’ve EVER seen my dad more excited about a vacation in his life. He cannot wait to take Smith and do “guy stuff” together. My mom is going along for the fun…and hopefully, to supervise those crazy boys.
8: WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:

As for what I’m watching…
…why did it take me so long to start watching Kim’s Convenience on Netflix?! This little sitcom is adorable, witty, funny and oh so cute! I’m so happy that I have a new lighthearted show to enjoy!! I’m only on season one, but I already love it!
9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
Right this very minute, I’m sitting on the patio working while Ashby and Madeley are swimming in the pool. I love hearing (and watching) them play together. Those girls are just the best of friends. They’re having a bubble blowing contest with the water right now. Ha!
10: WHAT I’M WEARING:

…and then I still love these braided ones too! By the way, I have a big list of cuuuuuute braided sandals (all heel heights) that you can see HERE and then my dress is currently on sale HERE!
Well this top was so cute that I also bought it in a solid color too 🙂 ! My shorts are HERE and my hoops are HERE.
This romper and clutch were big hits in Mexico! Both are Amazon finds. Speaking of which…
…Clare had on the CUTEST pink watch band the other day in a color that I just loved, and it’s an Amazon find too! Bonus, you get four bands for only $12!! It’s so cute!
11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
I’m going to enjoy all of that Red, White and Blue FUN!!!
12: WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
I don’t even want to say it…but July is our last full month of summer. The Shull family has a lot of fun to pack into the next six weeks!!!

It makes me laugh that July is your last full month of summer and we just got out of school for this year on Monday (and my last day of work for the summer is today!). School schedules are so all over the place.

It’s pretty consistent right now…but for breakfast an egg or Trader Joe’s cauliflower frittata with half an avocado/turkey bacon/toast (some mix of that), lunch is typically like a salad, wrap, sandwich, pasta salad…something basic and then last night, I made spaghetti and we had it with a side caesar salad…all so easy!

Totally unrelated to the above, but I just have to say that my husband and I are watching the second to last episode of GOT tonight. I know you said that that episode just brought it all together for you and I am SO excited (and a little sad at the same time)! We have been watching GOT on and off for probably 4 years, so to finally finish it, and love it, makes me happy. I won’t leave any spoilers here, but to say that my jaw was on the floor at the end of “The long night” is an understatement.

My husband and I just finished watching Kim Conveience and you’re going to love it more and more. It was awesome. If you haven’t watched Ted Lasso yet, you MUST and I am sure your husband would love it as well. It’s about an American football college coach going to coach soccer in Europe and it’s so sweet, funny, interesting. The character is a lot like Leslie Knope from Parks n Rec, silly yet smart and the best person.
