What’s Up Wednesday {August 2021}

It’s an EXTRA fun What’s Up Wednesday because my sweet friend Sheaffer is launching her new line today with Victoria Emerson!!

With the kids back in school, I’ve been thinking back to this time last year quite a bit…

3: WHAT I’M LOVING:

I hope you’re holding a tissue because Sheaffer is about to make you cry.  With this new collection from Victoria Emerson, Sheaffer named her bracelets after special people she knows and loves.  This leopard bracelet here (both in a round stud and a pyramid stud) is…

I mean…JUST THE SWEETEST SURPRISE!!!!

I have been wearing all of the new wrap bracelets, but of course, this one is my favorite and every single time I wear it and look down at it, I pray for my sweet girl.

How sweet is this picture?!  Here we are at DFW Airport the night we brought Ashby home from China.  Sweet Sheaffer has been there since the very beginning.  She is SUCH a prayer warrior for many, but I know for a fact, that she has constantly and consistently been praying for our sweet girl since the moment we were matched.  I’m so grateful for her friendship and her thoughtfulness in naming this bracelet after my sweet (very brave!) little girl.

I mean…you all need one too, right? 😉

   4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

All the sports 🙂 .

We are back in the swing of football, volleyball, soccer and…

…little sister watching 🙂 .

This year, for the first time, both of my little girls asked to do cheer instead of dance, so we’re doing that as well.  They had their first class yesterday and LOVED IT!!!  They were both just so giddy to go and had the best time!

5: WHAT I’M DREADING:

Seeing all of those influencers posting pics in their fall stuff while standing in the leaves with beautiful weather surrounding them while I’m…

…I get “I want fall weather” FOMO big time.

6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON:

So many magical vacations!  Whew!  It’s so nice to get back to a normal work routine once summer is over.  As much as I love having my kids home, it’s pretty tricky navigating it while working (as so many of you know!).  Right now, I’m in a very magical mood with all of the Disney vacations we’ve been planning!  If you would like help getting to Walt Disney World this season, please reach out!  We’re also offering our services to Hawaii, cruises, and all international destinations.  It makes me so happy to plan vacations for you ladies!

7: WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

…my house officially smells like fall even if I haven’t decorated yet.  You know my two favorite candle companies are Magic Candle Company (every candle smells like Walt Disney World and it’s the ONLY candle I burn at work) and…

…Circle E Candles which burn all day downstairs to make my house really smell like fall!

8: WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:

I know I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but you guys, we’re so in love with Ted Lasso!  If it starts off a bit slow for you, keep going.  It’s just happy, good TV.  I need as much joy and cheer in my life as possible, and this show is very feel-good, make you happy.  It’s on Apple TV and you should watch.  Occasionally, there is a naughty word, but really and truly, outside of that, it’s so sweet!

My August Book Review is coming next week!  Stay tuned for that!!

9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:

Awwwww…well, the kids are back in school, and I’m sitting here with my coffee typing this and listening to the Steve Tyrell Radio station on Pandora.  It’s greatness.

10: WHAT I’M WEARING:

Well, I’ve been wearing wrap bracelets and earrings from Sheaffer’s new collection even to…

…church!  I really love this dress here!  I just think it’s super flattering and can easily layer for fall and comes in TWELVE DIFFERENT COLORS…

…I bought it in grey medium charcoal heather (in xs) but love it so much that I went back and also bought it in green park too!

What went perfectly with my dress?  Well…

I am in love!!  They’re light, they’re classic, they’re the perfect size, and if you have extra holes in your ears (like me!), you can easily layer both the pyramid and the round stud together.  These earrings are also stainless steel with 18k gold plating, and the quality is so good that you can even shower in them!  I love them so much!!

Grab your wrap bracelet and you’re ready for fall!

Speaking of which…

..don’t my sneakers and tee just scream fall too?!  They pair perfectly with the leopard Manda bracelet and shorts!

Let’s chat about these sneakers!  I also have them in white with bright yellow (for spring and summer) and wore them so much that I decided to buy a fall-ish looking pair too!  They always fit me TTS and are SO COMFY!!  They come in so many great color combos too!

 11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

We have our first game of the season!  This pic is from last year, and it makes me smile big time.  We’re so excited for FOOTBALL at our house!!
