Happy Friday, friends!
It’s the first Friday Favorites of 2022 for me!!!
How’s it going in your world getting back into the swing of things? Considering I thought yesterday was Wednesday until someone told me it wasn’t, I’m having a rough time coming off the holiday high and getting back into my normal. Also, full confession, for the first time EVER in my adult life, all of my suitcases are not unpacked and put away yet. I am super particular about this and basically can’t sleep until it’s all put away…but apparently 2022 Shay doesn’t care. I have one suitcase left in the garage, and it might just sit there until my next ski vacation. Anyone else thinking about the episode of Everybody Loves Raymond?! Ha! Needless to say, I’m thankful that it’s Friday and even more thankful you’re back here with me!
My first Fave of the week? It’s a new year of Let’s Look!
Erika and I are excited about the 2022 version where every prompt was suggested by one of YOU!
The fun starts on Wednesday with our first prompt of Let’s Look at HOW YOU ORGANIZE FOR THE NEW YEAR!
Here is the list of prompts for the entire year…
So, if you blog and want to link up with us after blogging the prompt for the day, we would LOVE IT! These posts are always the second Wednesday of every month!
Over Christmas break, I was super productive and watched the entire second season of…
…Emily in Paris 🙂 .
This show is TOTALLY one of my Faves this week!!! Me oh my Alfie. That’s all I’m going to say about that.
If you’re looking for something super cute, light, sweet and happy to watch right now, it’s streaming on Netflix. Make sure you watch Season One first though!
This sweatshirt was the most “on repeat” thing in my closet over Christmas break! In fact, I loved it so much that I wore it on the plane to Utah too! It comes in several different colors and fits TTS.
It goes great with…
Speaking of sales…
…is on sale today too! I love this one so much that…
…I bought it in a second color! These also run TTS. I’m wearing xs.
You guys, I LOVE this next Fave…
…I started The Bible Recap this year, and it’s so wonderful! I could probably do an entire post on it, but I’ll try and hit the high notes here. I have read through the Bible two other years but in a different way (I did is using THIS), but this recap has many more layers. You read the daily scripture in your own Bible (it tells you each day what to read) and then you read her recap out of the recap book and/or listen to the podcast, plus you can journal or join groups too. On her site, she explains all of the steps very clearly HERE.
It’s only been a week, but here is what I’ve been doing: reading the daily scripture out of my Bible, reading the corresponding recap out of the recap book, using my journal to jot down things I’m learning/discovering and praying over and then, even though it’s a little repetitive, I’m listening to the corresponding daily podcast episode while I get ready to workout in the morning (right after my Bible study time). The episodes are only about 7 minutes and expand on/reiterate what I just read/studied.
This read through the Bible plan is also different from the other one I did because it’s in chronological order (where as the other plan gives you a little Old, a little New Testament, a Psalm and Proverb each day). Again, you should totally check out the main site HERE for all the details, but one week in, and I’m so happy!
This is random, but I brought two pairs of workout leggings to Park City and loved this pair so much…
…that I washed and wore them every single day. They’re lightly lined in fleece on the inside and were perfect for all day wear in Utah. I had purchased them right before we left and didn’t realize how much I would LOVE them until I actually used them for a workout. I had been afraid that they would get too hot, but they didn’t. They somehow kept me warm and yet didn’t make me hot. I loved them so much that I kept them on during the day and even wore them under my ski pants as a base layer! They come in lots of other colors too!
I also wore this jacket here every day too! It’s light, it’s warm, it has great pockets, it’s easy to pack…loved it! This is a terrible pic, but the perfect jacket for those of you who want to be active all winter long!
That wraps up the first Faves of 2022! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! xx
