Friends, I’m all messed up and turned around today.
I realize Valentine’s Day is on Monday…yet, three out of my four kids have Valentine’s Day parties at school today…plus, there is a Valentine’s dance at the middle school. It feels sooooooo much like February 14th.
On top of that, this time last week, we had ice, snow and freezing temps…as I type this sentence, it’s 70 degrees, sunny, and I’m wondering if it’s too soon to wear shorts.
I’m not quite sure what’s happening in my world, but I’m sure glad to know that it’s at least FRIDAY!
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing some faves. We have volleyball this weekend and lots of family time in-between. Here’s hoping it’s sunny and warm where you live too! (I know it’s not, but let me just be hopeful! 😉 !)
My first Fave this week…
…Miss Ashby is officially one week post-op and outside of some stitches, she’s doing f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!
This little rock star was at school every day this week being the peppy, bright, sparkly girl that she is, and it made my mama heart oh so happy. Who would have thought that #23 would be our best?! Some things are better not to know in advance. If you would have told me way back at #1 that #23 would be our best…well…I would not have handled that well. #truth
It’s hard to slow this kid down for a pic these days, so I was really excited on Tuesday when he stopped for a photo before his orchestra concert. He’s just getting so BIG and so much FUN! While the girls love watching the Olympics with me, Smith is obsessed just like his mama. We were up waaaaay past our bedtimes every single night this week watching. It’s really hard for me to tell him no when he still wants to do things with me. He’s a fun Starbucks date, co-dog walker and late night Olympic watcher (among other things). He’s just at a great age, and I’m soaking it all up.
These are little things, but they’ve made me really happy all week, so I’m sharing…
…I’ve had this really big tray on my coffee table for about a year and never loved what was on it. The other day, I took five minutes, opened my Amazon app, made a few purchases and now, I am SO PLEASED!!!! It was always one of those things I walked by and thought “I don’t love it, but I don’t have time to mess with it”, but I finally just did it and have been so happy with the result!
TRAY//ACRYLLIC TRAY (11×17)//COFFEE TABLE BOOK//RIGHT VASE//LEFT VASE
I don’t typically buy home things from Amazon, but Sheaffer told me to (ha!) and well, it was so good that I did it again…
…next to my side of the bed. Over the last year or so, I had accumulated just a bunch of books, random stuff on my side, so I decided to start over…
I bought a new tray (the large one), book, hurricane and added a candle. Done and happy. I like not having all the random stuff piled there before bed.
Speaking of Amazon finds…
…I am obsessed with this jumpsuit! You guys, it’s so soft and so comfy…it has pockets, you can cinch in the waist and I love the ankles…you can dress it up, dress it down..it’s AMAZING! Plus, it comes in 32 other colors and patterns as well and is under $30! So many colors, so many patterns, so comfy…it would be perfect for a flight or trip. I love it!
I topped it with my denim jacket and was set for the 70 degree day!
Speaking of denim (and easy, every day outfits for transitional weather), the following day, I wore…
…this chambray shirt, my Spanx leggings and my sneakers. Comfy, easy, works for wacky weather fluctuations and keeps me “pulled together” while still being super comfy. Right now, my chambray shirt is on sale! I bought mine in a 2 and would say it runs TTS (a little roomier if you’re in-between).
Has your family watched Home Team yet on Netflix?! Oh my goodness, it’s SO CUTE!!! If you need an easy movie for the family, this is it! This is based on the true story of Saints coach Sean Payton returning home to Texas the one season he was suspended from the NFL and kind of accidentally started coaching his son’s team. It’s just really cute, funny and sweet. We are big fans over here!
Easy neutral activewear over here! I told you that I love these leggings so much that I bought them twice! Here they are again in brown taupe along with a Vuori tank (you KNOW how much I love Vuori) and sports bra.
After yoga, I topped it with my Sherpa pullover and we hung out all day in the snow!
Finally, I’m finishing off today with all of my yummy Valentine’s recipes in one place! Click HERE to see my favorite cocktails, cocoa, breakfast recipes, romantic dinner ideas, desserts and more to make your Valentine’s Day extra special!
That’s it for this week! I hope you all have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!! xoxo

That Amazon jumpsuit is so cute, I’m so glad you tried Amazon home stuff, and I’m just so thankful that Ashby’s is doing so well!

70 degrees?!? Very, very jealous over here in East Tennessee 🙂
How big are Smith’s feet?? Those were some big shoes he was wearing for his orchestra concert!!! He’ll grow into them and you’ll go broke trying to keep up 😉
Happy Friday! Love the styling you did around your home….sometimes it’s just the “little things”, right?
Mix and Match Mama says
His feet are HUGE! Bahahaha! We cannot keep up with buying him shoes that fit!
Bev says
Smith!!! He is so handsome and I love his sweet smile.? I noticed his big boy shoes, he’s catching up to Andrew quick! Daughters are such a blessing but that mother/son relationship is very special. My son is your age and it’s still very sweet! ?
Jennibell says
Isn’t that the TRUTH? My girls are the best but there is something about those boys….

I have the short sleeve version of that jumpsuit and love it! I’ve worn it plain, with a denim jacket and casual shoes, or with heels and some fun jewelry. It really is the best to dress up and dress down!
Kelly Bonner says
We loved Home Team at our house too!
Julie Ann Long says
I love how you decorate, but everything you post is sooo expensive. We don’t have the means to do all of those things.
Mix and Match Mama says
Not everything! I do purchase nice pieces to include, but there are Hobby Lobby finds in my house, Target items and things from flea markets as well!
Cynthia says
It’s so funny…we have a new ottoman in our great room and I desperately needed some inspiration, so this comes at the perfect time, thanks so much!
How do the Zella leggings compare to the LLL Align? They look super similar 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
They feel SUPER similar!!!!
Cris says
God is getting so much glory from your dear girl! I’m praying for Ashby now!
Jenny N says
Love, love, love your ottoman styling and that all the things are affordable and available quickly from Amazon! What did we do before Amazon?!
Girls are amazing, but there is just something about boys. They always love their Momma’s! Yeah for saying yes to extra time with Smith. He will always remember those times!
Shari says
Where did do get your office rug? It’s beautiful!
