Hey there, Friday!
I really like today’s post because it includes a very random and fun assortment of summer faves. I have something to help you guys looking to start a website or blog, something for you to listen to, something for you to wear over your swimsuit, something festive and something family. An eclectic mix of faves, and as always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika .
I hope you all had a great week!
Happy weekend, friends!
Awwwww?! Who are these sweet people?! Guys, this is Michael McCall and his precious family, and he’s the reason you’re reading this post right now 😉 . For over two years now, Michael has been helping me keep this site working. He makes sure it’s updated, makes sure it’s functioning quickly, makes sure it’s running efficiently and corrects any issues or problems I have. Just this week, one of my favorite blog readers Karen reached out and asked me about a glitch she had discovered and so I asked Michael about it and he had it corrected in about five minutes. Needless to say, I am so thankful and grateful for Michael’s services that I thought he deserved a spot in my Friday Faves.
If you have a website or blog or are looking to start one but the technical side is holding you back, Michael can help you too! Just this May, I had Michael give the Mix and Match Travel Agency site an overhaul (it was designed by someone else), and let me tell you, it’s so much more efficient now! You can find Michael’s own website HERE with more information on his services. I truly could not do this job without him. If you have a passion you’re looking to put online but need help, Michael is your guy! You will love him too!
Not one but TWO new books arrived at my house this month that I love…
My sweet friend Laura wrote and published a family devotional! We love keeping a family devotional next to our kitchen table and when we have time, we’ll open it and discuss after dinner. It’s such an easy and organic way to talk about our faith with our kids.
I just think Laura’s is so beautiful, easy to handle in just a few minutes and perfect for families with kids of varying ages. What a blessing it’s already been to my family!
This book also arrived at my house this week…
…A Home For All Seasons. I have another book by Danielle Rollins that I love, so when I saw this one, I bought it too. Ladies, this book is just beautiful. The entire book is a look at her home in Atlanta…from the driveway to the backyard (and everything in between!) she not only shares photos of her gorgeous house but stories, entertaining ideas, design techniques, and so much more. I immediately told my mom to buy this, and if you’re inspired by coffee table books like this too, then you should also pick it up. Every morning, I’ve been sitting down with my breakfast and coffee and reading a little. It’s just gorgeous, informative and inspiring. Love.
My favorite cover up is 35% right now 🙂 . Just wanted to share. It comes in other colors too and fits TTS!
I have TWO things for you to listen to this weekend!
First, I heard about this jazz band on a podcast and started listening…
…oh my goodness! I’m now obsessed with The Hot Sardines! If you love French jazz (like I do!), this band is for you! Seriously, I dare you to turn it on in the kitchen while you’re making dinner and not absolutely fall in love. They have several albums out, and I’m working my way through them all.
Speaking of music…
…Meagan told me to listen to The Coastal Grandmother station on Spotify and I love it too! It’s basically a station of every song I love. I turned it on Wednesday afternoon while I worked and haven’t turned it off. Love.
I also love these peeps…
…just a sweet teen in my house this summer 🙂 .
My summer intern.
At the market with my big girl. She’s so much fun to hang out with during the day! I’m going to miss her when she’s back in school!
We found ourselves on a Friday afternoon with no kids at home…so we headed to the pool for a few hours. We ran into so many people we knew and had the best little day date!
There’s always a performance at our house. This one was Hawaiian 😉 .
Summertime at the Shulls’.
And finally…
…we’re getting so close to July 4th!!! If you need a festive red, white and blue recipe from a cocktail to breakfast ideas, desserts and snacks, I have you covered! Head to THIS POST to see all of my easy and festive fun!
That wraps up my week! I hope you all have a blessed weekend! xx

Happy Friday Shay! I’ve been listening to a James Taylor station on Pandora (I think?) and it’s filling my soul right now. Also please pray for my sweet sweet son this weekend…he’s visiting Austin Texas for a Bachelor party and he has very bad anxiety and doesn’t tolerate the HEAT well (🥴) I received a text at 3:30 am that said “Mom it’s hot here” 🙃 Yes he’s 26 and grown but he needed to tell me and I’m worried so please pray for my mama heart as well. Side note…he was born and raised and lives in FLORIDA lollllll. Bless his heart, they will always be our babies!

I was looking back at your previous blog posts. I love following your travel adventures. Where did you all stay in Telluride? Did you stay in Mountain Village or outside of there? Looks like such a beautiful place!
Mix and Match Mama says
We stayed at an AirBnB right there in town! We could walk everywhere. It was great!

I love how you put a spotlight on your blog designer! He’s done a great job!
And I think pool day dates are popular right now! Who would have thought that a few years ago! Hoping to get one soon!
Annelise says
Such a random note but when does K get her braces off? I’m so eager to see how she will look like your twin even more when they come off! 😍
Mix and Match Mama says
Awwww! Hopefully this fall…but who knows?!

I am LOVING the Spotify playlists, although Coastal Grandmother has been a bit of a tough sell initially when I recommend it to people just based on the name. 😂 My husband popped his head out of the shower today and said, “is this that Grandma station?!!? It’s really good!” 😂
Mix and Match Mama says
Right?! Bahahaha! Kensington basically asked me the same question on Saturday. It’s so good though!!

Have you ever listened to Postmodern Jukebox? They are known for “today’s hits yesterday” – think current songs done in an old timey way. My husband and I went to a concert in the spring and it was fabulous!
