You guys, it’s FINALLY raining in north Texas! We have had a hot and very dry summer, but right this minute, it’s cooler outside, raining, and I’m at my desk with coffee, smelling a fall candle and living my best morning. I hope wherever you are this morning, you’re finding things to be grateful about too!
This Tuesday, I have another vacation recap for you 😉 . After our very busy day in Cinque Terre and before our extremely busy day in Rome…we had a day in Corsica (a French island in the Mediterranean), so we decided to make this port our “beach” day.
Settle in for the pics, but first…
If you missed the other vacation posts from this trip, catch them below:
PART ONE: BARCELONA
PART TWO: BOARDING THE BEYOND & PROVENCE
PART THREE: MONTE CARLO
PART FOUR: PORTOFINO
PART FIVE: CINQUE TERRE
Good morning from Corsica! We disembarked in our swimsuits and were ready for the BEACH!!
That Beyond sure is pretty 😉 .
When we got off the ship, we once again had a car and driver waiting for us at the dock. From here, we took a 45 minute drive to the beach for the day. Corsica is so agriculturally and environmentally diverse, that the drive was absolutely breathtaking. We went up mountains, we went down into valleys, we passed what looked like desert areas and then also forest areas…it was a whirlwind of scenery that just about brought me to my knees in a van on winding roads. Let’s just say…I needed a minute to recover once we arrived. I was green.
BUT it was all worth it…
…because we had a sunny and beautiful beach day ahead.
So many pics before mom can put the phone away and hop in herself!
We had umbrellas, chairs and a table for lunch reserved in advance, so it was truly the easiest little beach day…
This guy LOVES a beach day!
Lunch was absolutely delicious!
After we ate…
…we played the rest of the afternoon and even…
…rented a surfboard!
Mom life…the only photo documenting I was there. Ha!
After a full day, everyone napped on the way back to the ship. It was a simple, relaxing and delicious day which is just what we needed before the next morning.
…and two happy parents 🙂 .
Next up you guys, we do Rome. Stay tuned!
I’ll see you back here tomorrow! xx
