Hey, hey Tuesday!
Here’s a little look at life lately around the Shull’s house…
…if you missed this last week on Instagram, here is what I wrote:
Just the sweetest, right?!
Well, it wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day at our house without…
…our GREEN PANCAKES! We made pancakes and listened to Irish music all morning long. It was all very fun and festive 🙂 .
Walking home from school is probably my favorite part of the day. Now, where is Ashby? That girl doesn’t walk home, she sprints so that she can go hang out with her friends outside 🙂 .
On Friday night, our elementary school had our…
…annual family dance! The theme this year was Boots and Bling. Mades wanted to wear something “country” while Ashby just wanted to wear a pretty dress. They both looked so beautiful, and I literally cannot believe they’re already this GROWN!
It was our 9th family dance in a row 😉 .
Side note, one of the 8 year olds on Andrew’s volleyball team took this photo. I’m going to see if she’s available to take photos for my family’s Christmas card this year. Bahahaha! It’s so good!
We had a full Saturday at our house!
The tradition of the kiddos sleeping in our room on Friday nights is still going strong. The big kids were both up at this point because Smith had to be in Dallas ready to row by 7:00 AM…
…and then, we had two volleyball games for Miss Mades. She hit three balls over the net which…is a huge victory over here 😉 .
Next up, we had afternoon soccer for sweet Ashby!
No one runs harder, hustles faster and tries more than this girl right here. She did SO GREAT!!
The gang was all there for soccer…including a rare appearance in a photo by the two resident middle schoolers 😉 . You would think I only have one or two kids. Nope. I have one who is always by my side, one who loves to smile for a pic but is often out and about being Miss Social Butterfly and then two middle schoolers. If you have middle schoolers, you know.
It was a wee bit chilly.
Finally, after church on Sunday, I did a few chores and got ready for the week, and then did one of my favorite things…sat on the patio under a blanket by the fire and read some great magazines while Andrew watched college basketball. It was the perfect way to end the week.
And that’s a bit of life lately. xx

That picture of Ashby and Mades is so sweet! They are looking so grown up and beautiful!!!

1) it is endearing to see tall Andrew sitting on the sidelines coaching little 8-year-old girls VB. Makes me giggle. 🙂
2) wee bit chilly at soccer and Mades is covered under a blanket while Smith is wearing crocs. From my experience, that is the epitome of a middle school boy. Lol

He could not be more middle school boy if he tried 😉 .

Just love seeing the norm 😊 I love Smith’s longer hair!! Such adorable kids. Have a beautiful day!

Miss “Coco” Mades made my heart melt. I have been on an instagram holiday and missed that 🥹

Me too!! So cute

Such fun randomness. The dance pictures are beautiful; the girls are starting to look less like little babies and more mature. Soccer and volleyball were my two absolute favorite sports to watch my kids play.
If Smith is the epitome of a middle school boy now, prepare yourself for the college boy phase… stocking hat, puffer coat, athletic shorts and Birkenstocks (with or without socks).

Your family is beautiful! Wasn’t the Bestie Breakdown supposed to be back today, Season 4??
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh well, you know…sigh…

They are all growing up and so cute!
Once you spend the whole summer at your new home in Nantucket you will hate to leave.

Magazines! I have wanting to subscribe to a couple because I love reading them…what are your favorite ones? Other than the two pictured…
Mix and Match Mama says
I cut down SIGNIFICANTLY on my magazines. I also subscribe to Good Housekeeping (my personal fave!), Southern Living and New England Home.

Even K and S are sleeping on your floor? Carter would NEVER. That boy is like the princess and the pea. He has to have a cozy bed.
Mix and Match Mama says
I just lol, friend!

Love this! Did Smith fall in love with rowing because of your hydrow? I used to love watching Alabama Crew practice on the river next to campus when I was in college!
Mix and Match Mama says
He did!

you inspired me to have my kiddos sleep in our room on Saturday nights, and we’re going on 3 years of it now, and it’s my favorite thing. thanks so much for sharing!!
