‘Tis that time of year, friends!
It’s time to make FREEZER JAM!!!!
If I had to list my hobbies and passions, making jam would certainly be one of them. On good days, I like to make jam. On stressful days, I like to make jam. On rainy days? Jam! On sunny days? Jam!
JAM IS MY JAM!
Every year, I do a little post where I remind you just how simple it is to make delicious freezer jam that your entire family will love and enjoy all year long…and today is that day 🙂 .
I tend to start making jam mid-May and then make about 100 jars between now and the end of July. These jars last my family the entire year and are perfect gifts for friends and family too.
I’ve always had a CANNING & PRESERVING tab on the sidebar of my blog, but this year, I’ve added one called JAM too which includes all of my canning posts as well as my delicious recipes that include JAM (both savory and sweet recipes!).
How do you get started?
You need to READ THIS POST HERE for all of my steps, specifics, tips and tricks. I also break down my thoughts on canning (I’ve done that as well!) and more.
THIS POST is your spot for making Freezer Jam (the simplest and most delicious!).
If you’ve always read my blog and considered it, but never actually tried it, THIS IS YOUR YEAR!!!!! Let’s jam together! 😉 xx

Have you ever considered saving freezer space and learning to *can* them? It’s not difficult- basically just boiling in water! – with the right equipment. Then you can stick them on shelves somewhere and they’re more easily giftable too!

Yes! If you click on the post I’m referencing, I talk a lot about canning too (as I’ve done that many times). For me, this is just so much easier and more relaxing (and less room for error) than canning.

When you gift the jam, I assume it was frozen and you defrost it. Can they put it back into the freezer, room temp, fridge? I made it last year and LOVED it but then didn’t want it to go bad when I gave it away
Mix and Match Mama says
I place the jam in the fridge 24 hours before gifting and then tell them to keep it in the fridge (not freezer) and enjoy within three weeks.
