If you aren’t a current email subscriber, you can sign up HERE, and I’ll share the same thing in Saturday’s newsletter as well for you too.
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing this week’s FAVORITE THINGS!
From my sunshiny spot to yours, happy almost weekend! xx
Well, this guy here is certainly a favorite of mine…
…our realtor for our home here on Nantucket is the amazing Robert Young who could.not.be.more quintessentially Nantucket if he tried.
Born and raised on the island, he is the man. If you’ve been here before, I know you’ve walked past or probably rented bikes from Young’s Bicycle Shop (here since 1931), you’ve probably turned on a street with the same name too. When another friend casually told us to call him last year, we had no idea we were calling Mr. Nantucket himself.
Robert has taken our family in over the last year and loved on us big time (inviting us into his home, spoiling my kids with treats, he and his wife just being SO nice to us Texans when…I know my new house is ‘nice’ but trust me, it’s probably the smallest/least expensive home he’s sold in yearssssss). Needless to say, when we were at the beach Sunday afternoon, we were not surprised at all to see this handsome guy come walking up just because he wanted to treat my family to a ride in his 1934 Ford. See? How absolutely sweet?!
Who brings out their classic car and lets five sandy people climb in for a ride around town? Robert Young, that’s who 🙂 .
Side note, Kensington was happy to see the car but also happy to hold our place at the beach and work on her tan in lieu of a ride. #teenagers
So, my first Fave is our time riding around in this 1934 Ford…but more than that, it’s been the last year and all the time we’ve been able to spend with Robert Young.
My next Fave isn’t nearly as amazing (ha!)…
Many of you have noticed my new Apple watch band…and guess what? It came as part of a pack of 6 for only $14!
I’ve had this pack now for about a month, and I’m a really big fan! All of the color combos are super pretty. I bought the pack that includes these colors here: Black/White/Pink Sand/Milk Tea/Smokey Mauve/Cactus
Well, in a nutshell, Smith watched the new Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary on Netflix and now, I’m reliving my childhood…
First, he watched Twins the other day while I was sitting in the kitchen working…I haven’t seen that movie since I was like 10. I laughed multiple times while he watched it.
And then on Tuesday night, after everyone went to sleep, he and I stayed up and watched…
…this gem right here.
I haven’t thought about either of these movies in probably two decades, but both were really good to rewatch! If you’re looking for some fun, light, easy to watch movies this weekend, here are two.
Well, I’m smitten with this tennis dress! It also comes in both pink and a fun tropical print too. I’m clearly having a moment with Lily because…
…the dress I wore to Ashby’s birthday dinner at Cru was also from Lily too!
My linen top is currently on sale (in other colors as well!), and…
…I’m so smitten with this dress here 🙂 . It’s so soft and comfy, plus, it’s my very favorite color! You can find my sandals HERE.
Around the holiday season, I always mention how solo stoves are great gifts for dads/grandpas/couples. We have already loved ours here on Nantucket for s’mores! So many of our neighbors have them too.
Now, the real question is, do you like your s’mores extra toasty or lightly toasty?
Today, I’m sharing MY ULTIMATE POPSICLE POST! If you’ve never made homemade popsicles before, you should! They’re so easy! I have so many different options HERE for you to check out too.
And finally…
…two years ago this month, we took a spontaneous vacation to Mexico as a family. This still goes down as perhaps the best photo of us ever taken. Like ever. You can read about the whole fun adventure HERE!
This wraps up my week. Don’t forget, I’ll see you back here tomorrow for my bonus Saturday post! xx

How funny about Arnold!! It is fun to watch movies you loved (or thought you loved) as kid with your kiddos. Hubs & I were talking about worst movies we had seen. That was fun. The dread from both of us. Lol.
I like my s’mores just right. We use the s’more marshmallows, but have used chocolate filled and mint, even peeps. We have used Reese’s thins, peppermint patties, whatever we have laying around Lol. My mom uses fudge stripe cookies for her graham layer. One yr kiddo and I did a monthly challenge and we did a s’mores every month even in the winter outside. It was so fun!
Have a great weekend and Happy Father’s Day to all those Daddy’s. Hug yours extra tight for those of us whose Dad’s aren’t here anymore.

Hi Shay, I’m planning a trip to Nantucket in Sept and would like to book The Nantucket. Is there a room category that you would recommend when staying there as a couple? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
I would call and see what’s available at this point. They have so many different options and each room is different than the next. It’s a very small hotel, so you’ll find it quite charming.
