Happy happy Saturday, friends!
Grab your coffee, maybe sit on your patio and settle in.
It’s a happy, eclectic, random mix of weekend fun 🙂 .
New England meets Tex-Mex 🙂 .
Nantaco came to town a few years ago, but it wasn’t something we visited until this summer. Right here in town, if you’re looking for a quick and super delish bite of Mexican deliciousness, we’re big fans. This place really isn’t dine-in (other than about three tables out front, there is no seating), but it’s great to-go. My kids love their nachos and tacos, I love their bowl, they boast having “the best breakfast burrito in town”, and I swear to you, the other day, I had their California burrito which had French fries inside. INSIDE THE BURRITO. Anyway, just a random little spot should you have a hankering for something a bit spicy on the island.
Well, at midnight on Friday morning, Taylor’s version of Speak Now came out and basically, it’s all my family has listened to since that very minute. (I had a resident teenage girl stay up until midnight just so she could listen the minute it came out). I like Taylor Swift…I mean, she was popular when I was much younger, but now that I’m revisiting her music through my own teenager, I like her even more. I may or may not be singing along to every song myself 🙂 .
There are so many great sales happening this weekend!
Just take a look…
Yes, yes and yes to all of the great ABERCROMBIE SALES!
Plus…
…my favorite summer sandal is on sale right now too!
Geez, I love these sandals!
If you’re an Anthro girl…
…it’s a good time to shop because they’re having BIG SALES TOO!
So many cute things at Anthropologie right now 🙂 .
You guys, this place is no secret…in fact, Andrew and I have been going for YEARS, but let me tell you, it wasn’t until I lived within striking distance of it that I realized it’s always busy. ALWAYS BUSY.
Cisco Brewery is the place to be on Nantucket every single day.
We can drive by on a Monday at 2:00 PM and the overflow lots are so full you would think it’s Saturday afternoon. If you are on the island and have a way to get out to the Brewery (it’s mid-island-ish heading towards Cisco Beach which is located on the south side), it’s fun.
Even though it’s a brewery, it is family-friendly too. This big outdoor area (cover charges do apply when it’s crowded) hosts live music, food trucks and people of all ages. Some of the most fun I’ve had on this island has been here whether it’s summer or Christmas Stroll. We took Sean and Catherine when they came, and we also took Tab and Erika back too.
There are always food trucks and a lot of delicious options, but Andrew and I are huge fans of Raw 167’s oysters.
This pic (and the following) are from years past, but as you can see, it’s nothing but deliciousness at Cisco Brewery.
And that’s my Nantucket find for the week…especially now that it’s SUMMERTIME 🙂 !

I love 167 Raw! I haven’t ever been to Nantucket (it’s on my list), but I go to the Charleston location every time I go there. Good to know when I go to Nantucket one day!

We have girlie interested in Taylor Swift music now. It is funny to listen to the songs I heard so many yrs ago. Lol. We saw her as openers for others when she was country. Hubby surprised me with tickets to Keith Urban ( my fave…if you haven’t seen him in concert it’s a must, took some not country fans with us and they were like we would travel to see him). Anyway .. Taylor opened and hubby said this is the mom and daughter tour… You could hear all the high pitched teen screams for Taylor and singing. Keith hit the stage the screams were a little lower and not so Eeeeeek, but like Whoooo! Lol. It was a great concert. I have been asked did she start in country, why did she leave, etc. Lol. As my mom always said just wait until the music you listen to comes back… Boy was she right!! Lol

I feel like you have such a great energy and pursuit of making the most of every day, and I want to be more like that! I’m more rigid with my eating, probably more like Andrew, but am always trying to find balance like you seem to do! I love that you guys drink in moderation, have fun, and don’t take life too seriously! When you drink, do you ever feel it the next day? Or feel bloated? Etc? What is your secret? 😂
Mix and Match Mama says
You’re too sweet! I really, really try to savor the everyday. I think my secret is always moderation. I want to feel my best, but I also don’t want to miss out on anything special or fun…so moderation, moderation, moderation.

Happy Saturday! We have an almost identical scooter pic of us with my brother-in-law and SIL and our helmets lol. Those oysters look amazing. Hoping to get to Nantucket for a girls’ trip this fall and will definitely need to check out the brewery!

Taylor was in Kansas City this weekend. We did not have tickets, but it was so much fun scrolling through my social media feeds to see all the photos. There looked to be such incredible mom/daughter bonding going on. Pretty cool that she can bridge the gap between generations and bring people together to make special memories. Whether singing together in a sold out stadium, or together in your kitchen, it’s pretty cool!

We are wanting to take a girls trip to Nantucket for 3 days; where do you recommend us stay? And top places to eat? I’ve followed you for years and your blog has made me want to take a girls trip there!

My favorite place to stay is The Nantucket Hotel and Resort 🙂 . You can look back at all of the Nantucket posts (just click the sidebar topic NANTUCKET) for all of the fun spots where we eat!
