Well hello and HAPPY SATURDAY!
Last night, I went to the Wild Ember Design Country Club Vintage Pop Up on McKinney’s historic square, and it was oh so fun!
I hope whatever you did last night was fun too 🙂 .
Here is a little this and that for our weekend.
Thank you for stopping by! xx

Well my mailbox was extra sweet this week!
First up…

…one of my middle school teachers found this while cleaning out a closet and sent it to me along with the SWEETEST note. How fun is that?!
Coach B was my 6th grade science teacher and thanks to Facebook, I still get to keep in touch with her. She and I both chuckled as we re-read this very old magazine.
Another sweet surprise in my mailbox was…

…this book! Lauren and her Bible study finished this book this spring, and she thought I would love it. How sweet is that?!

I can’t remember if I’ve shared this with you or not, but I sometimes like to buy prints from Urban Garden…

…their website has a plethora of prints and colors and sizes. Some you can purchase framed and others, you need to frame yourself (I always do the custom framing at Hobby Lobby because it’s almost always discounted).

If you just need a little something for your walls, I am a big fan. I have these two prints in my bedroom…

…these three in my dining room…

…and these four in Kensington’s room.
Just a random little nugget to share.

The Lowe family has been at Walt Disney World!

And Auntie Shay’s heart has been OH SO HAPPY looking at the pics!

I mean…gosh, I love them!

Happy weekend, Shay. Hope Kensington’s wisdom teeth recovery has gone well – we started our summer similarly a few times here.
I am loving following along with Catherine’s story of their trip to WDW! Their time on the Bachelor is what eventually led me here and how fun has it been to see where life has taken all of you! As always, thank you for sharing your life with those of us “out here”. Have a lovely weekend!

Awwww! Thank you for checking on Kensington! She has had a really great week. I feel like it was much easier than when I had mine out a million years ago. Thank you, thank you, thank YOU for being a part of this community. I’m so very grateful. xx

I am so excited you are reading Living Fearless! I love Jamie (and Donna) Winship so much — the way he talks about God, how to pray and hear God, and identity in Christ changed my life! His stories from his career are also incredibly fascinating! (I have listened to so many podcasts with him and some with Donna too.) gah! Just so thrilled for you (and anyone) who reads/listens to him!

What a glowing review! I’ve added it to my morning reading routine (so I won’t read it as quickly as I do other books), but I’m two chapters in and already think Andrew should read it too 🙂 .

Shay,
How fun is it to keep in touch with a teacher? I actually text my 3rd grade teacher all the time (she just had a bday and she is in her mid 80s). She tole do not call her by her teaching name because we are friends call her by her first name. Old habits for hard!!! 😆 She was one of the main reasons I wanted to be a teacher…I wanted to be like her! Just love her! *Don’t worry I have told her this and she is just so touched!*
Glad to see K is doing well too. I was thinking about her as well this past week. Our kiddos were back to doing their thing within a couple days. Just more cautious about their food.

I first heard Jamie Winship on the Don’t Mom Alone podcast and immediately bought his book. He’s on episode 433 if you’re interested. His son’s story of being a skate boarder is amazing! Can’t wait for your review of his book.

Thank you so much for the rec! I am unfamiliar with him, so I’m excited to listen/read more.
Lauren says
I hope you like the book!

You’re going to love the Jamie Winship book! It’s also a great audiobook for walks! I just scheduled two teens for wisdom teeth removal in August and will buy the ice packs for them. We’re at a lacrosse tournament this weekend, our last travel tournament, a little relieving and bittersweet.

Love this post – a little of this and a little of that. I will have to look into the prints – we are furnishing a new home and hydrangeas are my favorite – may have to be a copy cat there.

That link for Urban Garden came at the perfect time! We’ve been looking for some new art for out Lake House and AirBnB and they have some beautiful options! Thank you 🙂
