Happy Saturday, friends!
I hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start! We are sleeping in a bit this morning and then heading to the B-E-A-C-H until dinner. Speaking of which, make sure you look below to see what we’ve been having for lunch 🙂 .
From our weekend to yours, Happy Saturday! xx
Yeah, baby! We’ve upgraded our BEACH FINDS and have added a PROPANE GRILL 🙂 . We are making the most delicious lunches now by the ocean. Some days, we do burgers and chicken…
…and other days, we do sausages and hot dogs. This was Andrew’s idea, and I wasn’t really sure how it was going to turn out, but believe me…it’s turned out REALLY WELL! As much as we love a sandwich at the beach, this has completely changed some of our lunches.
Mades made Mades at dinner.
This kiddo never shows up unprepared for a dinner, doctors visit, errand, etc. She keeps her “fun bag” fully stocked with markers, pencils, coloring books, a journal, a snack…she’s like a Boy Scout…always prepared 🙂 .
I love, love, love me some tarte (and Kensington does too!)! Big sale happening this weekend!
Looking for some new activewear right now? Old Navy has it on sale!
My über cute tennis dress is on sale right now as well as…
And my favorite gauze shirt (that I keep wearing on repeat!) is also on sale right now too!
Remember our map…
…from when I BROKE DOWN NANTUCKET BEACHES earlier this week?
Well, on Tuesday, we drove way up there to Wauwinet for a very delicious lunch on the patio by the ocean at…
…Topper’s! Andrew and I have been to Topper’s several times for dinner, but this was our first lunch…and we loved it EVEN MORE.
Toppers is located at the very elegant and upscale The Wauwinet Hotel. For us, dinner there is very “fancy” (maybe the fanciest restaurant on the whole island?) which is nice, but there are so many less formal, less expensive (and yet amazing!) places for dinner in easier to get to locations that we seldom make the trek out to Toppers (we hadn’t been in two years), but I had heard that lunch at Toppers was the best way to go because you still get amazing food and service at a beautiful resort but in a more causal way (lobster rolls, burgers, salads, etc). This proved to be very true, and we had the loveliest lunch with Andrew’s mom and dad.
Oh yes, and Bananagrams is also always in her fun bag 😉 .
An amazing lobster roll, rose and a patio? My favorite combination.
Everything was delicious! I probably wouldn’t personally ever stay out there (it took us about 30 minutes from mid-island to get there), but I certainly enjoyed my lunch and highly recommend it over dinner.
You guys…
…how ADORABLE are these travelers in SCOTLAND?!?!
They nailed every single photo!!!
Sending people on vacations is our JOY! We would love to send you too! It’s not too late to reach out about fall vacation planning, the holiday season and of course, it’s never too early to start booking for 2024 too. Contact us today!
Aunt Leah’s Fudge has been on Nantucket for many, many, many years! They make the most delicious fudge in house and ship too! You can easily find them right after you get off the ferry on your way up Main Street here on Nantucket. We always have a hard time deciding which of the delicious fudge options we will choose. They’re all so delicious!
That wraps up this Saturday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’ll see you Monday! xx

I need info on Smith’s shorts! I have a 12 year old who refuses to wear longer shorts, I literally just cleaned his drawer out pulling out everything he won’t wear and only leaving a few shorts left! We searched high and low yesterday and came up empty handed…
Mix and Match Mama says
Those are Nikes. I just asked Andrew and he said “literally the only shorts he wears are from Nike”. Hahaha!

What size do you wear in the JCrew shirt? Also do you dry in the dryer or hang to dry?
Have a great weekend!
Mix and Match Mama says
Size 2! I always put mine in the actual dryer and have never had any issues.

That grill is everything!

I’m always surprised at how much greenery (trees) in some of your pictures. I picture sand, cobblestones, grass and flowers. Would love to see more of the island farmland you have mentioned. Every picture is so beautiful!
Mix and Match Mama says
The island has a wide range of vegetation! I need to do a better job taking pics!

So many fun favorites! That lobster roll looks divine!

I have a question. When international travel is booked through Mix and Match Travel, is there a fee? I know with AAA we get free travel agent but we have never been very happy with it because they use their “connections” or at least that is what we have felt. I just want to know prior to calling (and being embarrassed) what the fee is for booking through you all and the variances. The Scotland trip is a bucket list item!
Mix and Match Mama says
We do not charge any extra service fees, and the client only ever pays the vendor directly. We would be happy to help you with your next vacation!

Can you update the link for the grill? The one posted is broken.

I think your baby girl Madeley is going to end up a Homecoming Queen with her smile and charisma!
Kate says
I need a whole post on Madeley’s fun bag!!
Marti says
I love Madeley’s fun bag! I love the way she keeps busy without being connected to technology.
