Happy Tuesday, friends!
Last week, I had the complete joy and pleasure of taking my amazing team here at Mix and Match Travel Agency to MEXICO for a few days!
These ladies each work incredibly hard and every one of them deserved this special trip to kick back, relax and enjoy a vacation for themselves.
Last year, I took my team to WALT DISNEY WORLD (where we had the most magical vacation), and this year, we headed to Cancun to stay at the gorgeous XCARET ARTE!
Here are a few pics so you can see the fun…
If you want to get to know these ladies better, make sure you check out THIS BLOG POST where each team member introduces herself and tells you a little about what she does at Mix and Match Travel Agency. From left to right, this is Hannah, Clare, Jane, Erika, me, Shanna, Mackenzie and Brooke. Our sweet office manager Caroline is about to have baby #3, so she wasn’t able to make this trip.
We arrived on Tuesday afternoon, checked in, and explored the property…
…and then, we enjoyed a nine course dinner on our first night at one of the resort restaurants.
Day two was our “stay by the beach and pool day” which was my fave 🙂 .
First, you need to check out our rooms…
…and this view! Hello!
How fabulous is the view from our balconies?! We had two team members per room and my roommate was…
…our social media manager, Mackenzie! We had so much fun rooming together!
…love these ladies so much! Here we are on our way to breakfast 🙂 .
I love this picture from breakfast because the server said “smile”, and then he said something cheesy/funny and there was genuine laughter.
I mean, does Andrew Shull need a floating basket for his charcuterie boards? I think he might.
Just so much joy! We had the best pool/beach day!
That night, we all brought pink dresses to wear to dinner…
…and did a terrible job of capturing the occasion. Here is the one and only pic from our pink night.
Gorgeous even at night.
The next day, we headed off to the adventure park on property for a morning of fun!
Swimsuits and helmets. What could go wrong?
We weren’t able to take a lot of photos, but as a team, we kayaked through a cave…
…and we even…
…zip lined! This was my first time to zip line, and if I’m being honest, I found it terrifying. Bahahaha! This adventure park is HUGE, and we could have spent multiple days there. I just had no idea that I had a fear of heights until was strapped in and pushed off. 😉
After several hours at the park, we took the shuttle bus back…
…to the resort for lunch and relaxation poolside.
I really couldn’t get over this gorgeous property!
Erika and her roomie Jane knocked on our door, and the four of us headed off to meet everyone else for our final dinner.
This time, we took the shuttle over to see their show! You guys, it was HUGE! We were sat in a huge outdoor theater (similar to Medieval times but outside) where we enjoyed our dinner and watched the very extravagant show (that included culture and history of the native people…sort of like a luau).
This stadium held several thousand people. It was such a fun way to end our trip!
I’m so very thankful for my sweet team members. They each work so hard each and every day to provide the best service and vacation experiences they can to every single client. I am also so grateful to their husbands and families who let me take these busy working mamas away for three full days. Between the eight of us, we have 26 kiddos, and I know sacrifices were made at home so that these ladies could enjoy their trip with me.

We would LOVE to send you on your next vacation too! If you are interested in a trip to Walt Disney World, Hawaii, any cruise or an international destination, please reach out to us HERE today! We would love to connect!
I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! I’ll see you tomorrow! xx

This resort looks amazing! Can you tell me how the beach was? We have fussy friends and love Secrets Maroma because of the amazing beach and overall amazing resort. Just wondering how this would compare? The only beach picture seemed a bit rocky.. are you able to walk into the ocean easily? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
We didn’t have any seaweed which was AMAZING! The beach was beautiful but rocky. So many beaches in Mexico are a rocky. It was probably very similar to Secrets Maroma Beach and Grand Velas.

The resort looks fabulous! Did you feel safe in Cancun?

We never left the resort property, but yes, this resort made me feel very safe.

Can you link your cute hats! What did you think of resort and food, would you recommend? Or do you think there are better options out there in Mexico?
Mix and Match Mama says
Etsy! I love Etsy for all things custom like this. I used the shop Sticker and Stitch. They’re amazing! I thought the food was good. I think there are many great resorts in Mexico with excellent food!

What did the other ladies think of the zip line? Did they think it was scary?
Mix and Match Mama says
One other bestie was equally as terrified. Everyone else loved it! They would have done it all day long. I wasn’t mentally prepared. ha!

I love it that you make a point to answer everyone’s questions. Not a lot of bloggers do that.
Mix and Match Mama says
You’re VERY sweet! I really try! I love this community so much and value the time you all spend here in my part of the internet. I do not take it for granted. xx

Did I miss the name of the resort? Family friendly for teens?
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s at the very top! Xcaret Arte and yes!!
Beth Knecht says
Xcaret is so fun! We swam with dolphins and did the fish therapy. The locals told us it’s like the Mexican Disney World and they were so right!

SUCH A GREAT TRIP!!!!!

This resort looks amazing!! Which place do you love more for you and your family? Where you all went on spring break to the DR or this incredible resort?
Mix and Match Mama says
The Hyatt Ziva in the DR would be my #1 pick for my family!
