Happy happy weekend, friends!
I hope your first Saturday in November is off to a cozy and slow start. Here’s a little bit of extra fun from me to you this weekend starting with…
You guys, if you follow me on Stories, you see that my family enjoys time at The Yard here in McKinney really and truly almost every single week.
WE LOVE THE YARD all year long, but my favorite time is between now and Christmas. This pic is from last November…and I’m telling you, it’s magical.
Whether you’re local or just passing through, this restaurant and bar is outside (so dress accordingly!), festive, fun and serves delicious food and drinks. It truly feels like you’re on vacation every time you visit (which is a fun feeling when you’re a local).
Looky look…
…how amazing would an African safari be for your honeymoon?! We LOVE planning trips to Africa, but especially love it when it’s also a honeymoon.
We would love to send you to Africa too! Contact us today about our vacation planning services.
We would love to be a part of your next special adventure too! Contact us today!
IT’S BAAAAAAAACK! You guys asked me to ask Victoria Emerson and BAM! They’ve restocked my amazing necklace here and for you guys, it’s only $20 .
It looks like two necklaces layered, but it’s only one! This would make a great holiday gift too!
Speaking of sales…
You guys, it’s a BIG SEPHORA SALE, so I rounded up some of my faves…
You can find so many of my favorite things HERE…
…and more HERE too! It’s a great time to shop Sephora!
If you’re looking for some outfits that are pulled together AND ON SALE, I have you covered…
…how cute is OOTD #1?!
I also have…
…THIS OUTFIT #2?! So cute for fall and winter!
And then finally, OUTFIT #3 🙂 !
We officially wrapped up football season on Wednesday night with a very chilly home game for Kensington’s freshman team.
You guys, I LOVED FOOTBALL SEASON SO MUCH this year! Our family of six averaged three games a week together (8th grade, freshman and varsity), and we have so many great memories from them all. Did we get home late a lot? Yes. Did we sweat a lot during those early games? You bet. Did we lose a lot? YES. Did we all six pile in to the car and out of the car and spend quality time together outside three times a week laughing and talking the entire time? YES AND YES! This was a very sweet season for this mama’s heart.
You guys, for whatever reason, Andrew and I just got around to watching the final season of Ted Lasso, and it’s SO GOOD!!! We are OBSESSED with this show…
…as you know, it even got us to London for an actual football match! And then last year…
…we even dressed up as two of the characters for Halloween.
I don’t know why we were late to Season 3 (life, kids, work, life, kids, kids, kids), but I’m so happy to be back and finishing up Ted’s journey. If you are looking for just GOOD and ORIGINAL TV, I cannot recommend this one enough. The language is “adult” from one character (in a funny way), but it’s really and truly just some of the best TV written in a very long time.
Smith and I stopped by the grocery store earlier this week and in their cute boutique section, I saw…
…YES!!!!!!!! I’ve never loved a Swig more! The little Santas are even a bit sparkly.
I went online to find them for you guys too and guess what? Swig’s site apparently as a wide variety of fun holiday mugs right now.
You’re welcome. 😉
It was the perfect companion on Thursday when I decorated the house for Christmas 🙂 .
I didn’t do a fabulous job taking photos, but last weekend, my parents hosted the sweetest dinner party for my birthday…
…every detail was just perfect.
My mom had all of my favorite foods (including cobbler!!) and my favorite people.
It was just the coziest, most special evening.
Sweet Mia wearing my mom’s glasses 😉 .
I received so many lovely gifts, but I knew you guys would really appreciate this one…
…the best of both worlds, no?
Enjoy your weekend, friends! I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful Saturday! xx

What a perfect gift!! And what a fabulous week! Today two of my daughters’ colleges played each other in football and it was so nice to have the family together including the boyfriends. Love family time!

We were so obsessed with The Yard when we were there! It was our first meal in McKinney and our last meal in McKinney before heading down to Dallas!

What a great birthday celebration! Love love love your moms decor – would love a tour of her room with blue and whites! That Santa cup is the cutest – I wonder if that would be acceptable to my Stanley obsessed teen 🤔

Your mom’s home is very lovely; I have always loved the classic blue and white combination. It looks like you were celebrated well!
I miss the frenzied fall sports schedule but do not miss freezing in the bleachers. Our son’s college club soccer team is playing in a semi-final match next week and I am thinking of taking a surprise road trip to watch him play. If they make the finals, he will miss it because of coming home early for thanksgiving and getting his wisdom teeth pulled. Not looking forward to an 8 hour round trip, but it will be fun to see him play again!

Your mom’s home is lovely! Is that a Thomas Kinkade painting above her fireplace?
Mix and Match Mama says
It is!
