Happy happy STROLL, friends!
Today is Nantucket Stroll, and the Shulls could not be more excited. These last few days have been so much fun, but it all leads up to today. We are headed downtown this morning to watch Santa come in off the boat and then head up Main Street. After that, we have lots of Stroll plans throughout the day. It is such a festive way to spend a Saturday.

I saw these at my McKinney Starbucks on Monday…and kicked myself all day that I didn’t buy one. They were sold out when I stopped by on Tuesday, so imagine my delight when…
…I saw one left at a Starbucks in the Boston airport on Wednesday 🙂 . So cute, right?

On Wednesday night, I was solo on Nantucket, so I headed to…
…Misogi Noodle Bar for dinner because one of my favorite humans basically runs the whole restaurant…
…our buddy Rick!
It was extra extra fun to open the door and see another friend enjoying dinner there as well. We have really found a little community here, and I just couldn’t love that more.
Seat at the bar for one and a lot of great conversation with my favorite bartender.
I had the Nantucket Bay Scallop Poke which was DELICIOUS!
And then Rick brought me…
…bread pudding and a pumpkin spice espresso martini for dessert. I was STUFFED when I left.

I love, love, love seeing Christmas trees inside homes this time of year. Doesn’t our house look oh so cozy with a tree? It always makes me smile to see them in windows at night/early in the morning.

I read them years and years ago (all of the reviews are posted here on my blog) and LOVED them. This is by far my favorite Christmas series. They’re sweet, wholesome, a little suspenseful, very Nantucket-y, and perfect for right now.
Make sure you read the books in order though! Start with Winter Street and then Winter Stroll followed by Winter Storms and then finally,Winter Solstice.

Aww- reading your intro I thought “man I miss that Winter Street series” and then you mentioned it. It really was a sweet Christmas time series – is it weird to miss being “inside” a book?? Such a good one!

I read the Winter Street series on your recommendation years ago too! It’s always been a favorite. I’m about ready to bake 4 dozen cookies for our local annual cookie exchange and contest! I won two years ago, so I’m ready to reclaim my top spot, haha. This year I’m making Kentucky Butter Cookies, a family favorite. Wish me luck!

Have you been enjoying the cold here in MA? As I write this we have big snowflakes coming down in central MA. Tonight I have tickets to Handles Messiah in Worcester then tomorrow is our town’s lights parade. The fire company decorate the trucks and drive around the town with sirens. Not the Stroll but I’ll take it. Small town life.

I love sharing along in your Nantucket adventures! We are over here outside of Boston and we got SUCH a pretty little snow-globe like snow for a bit this morning. Hoping the weather on Nantucket is equally festive.
And yes to the Winter Street series. I decided to re-read one a year each December and I’m up to Winter Storms this year. They are one of the few series I will re-read as they are delightful and perfect for the season. I know you also like Jennifer Melville and she has an adorable little guide to having a wonderful holiday called “Blissful Christmas.” I’m reading a few chapters each morning during my quiet time and loving it.

Oh my goodness, it makes my heart happy that you were able to find and purchase the Starbucks mug. It’s such a little thing, I know, but sometimes those missed opportunities and then a second chance can be so uplifting and inspiring.
