It’s a HUGE TRIPLE POST THURSDAY, friends!
Not only am I sharing NORTHERN IRELAND PART THREE here, but today…
…SHAY’S SUMMER SKIN BRIGHTENING BUNDLE is live!!!
What does that mean? It means while supplies last, you can get the RADIANT CLEANSING BALM, RETINOL SUPREME EYE SERUM and VITAMIN C NOURISHING CREAM (all three!) for only $145 (30% off, a $205 value!). You can see specifics about why I selected these three products for my bundle in TODAY’S POST. You guys, I LOVE ALL THREE! I use them every single day.
Not only that, but today, I also have a new PASTA SALAD RECIPE your summer needs!
Whew, okay! On to PART THREE of our summer vacation to Northern Ireland. Don’t forget, make sure you read NORTHERN IRELAND PART ONE and then also PART TWO before you begin.
On DAY THREE, we woke up, got dressed and headed to breakfast in our hotel lobby.
This certainly made us smile…
…what are the odds?
On my way out of the ladies room, I snapped a pic…
…this outfit brought to you by the BEST RAIN JACKET yet again on repeat (with THESE JEANS and this SHORT SLEEVE SWEATER).
On Day Three it was also…
…FATHER’S DAY! We sure love this guy!
We kicked off the day by visiting…
…St. George’s Market! You guys, this was the best indoor market I’ve ever been to when traveling. It had EVERYTHING!
We picked up some yummy bites…
…we bought necklaces for the girls…
…we had coffee and hot tea…
…Mades got a new purse (she was so excited!). It was such a great stop that I highly recommend!
Around town with her new bag 😉 .
For lunch, we went to the COOLEST old tavern…
…this was my FAVORITE meal of the entire trip! This is the oldest tavern in Belfast established in 1630. So cool, right?
Love these two.
I had the Irish stew for lunch, and it was FANTASTIC!
White’s Tavern was an excellent stop!
We had a private tour guide take us on a whiskey tour that included historical stops all along the way. Whiskey for Andrew’s Father’s Day and candy, soft drinks and historical tidbits for the family. Our tour guide was excellent with kiddos and made the city come alive with his facts and stories for families.
Some pics from our tour…
He took us to the oldest sweets shop in Belfast where they loaded up on sugar!
He looks spoiled, right? The perfect Father’s Day for our favorite guy!
This girl was SO excited because football (soccer) was on every TV everywhere we went.
I asked our tour guide to take our pic in front of City Hall because it says BELFAST out front. This was the only photo he took where you can actually see the words BELFAST…
…bahahahaha!
We do have this one too…
…from our trip to Belfas 😉 .
One last super cool stop on our tour…
…and then it was time for dinner…
…which was DELISH!
Don’t forget, my travel agency would LOVE to send your family on vacation too!! From Europe to Mexico, Asia, Africa, Australia, Hawaii, Walt Disney World, Universal and of course, cruises too, we would love to connect with you today about your next vacation. Contact us now!
That’s PART THREE…next up, Derry!
Don’t forget…
…SHAY’S SUMMER SKIN BRIGHTENING BUNDLE is live!!! Get all three of my daily skincare musts for only $145 (30% off, a $205 value!).
Have the best day, friends! I’ll see you back here TOMORROW! xx

Hi Shay, I hope this comes off curious and not judgy! You guys normally are hitting multiple countries and stops on your trip. How did you decide to just say in one (smaller) country this year? Thank you for sharing your travels with us!
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s a great question! I think our last trips though were all one country. I’m trying to think back but we just did Czech Republic before that England before that France before that we did Germany and England with the Slaughters though. It really depends on how much time we have and what we’re doing. In July 2022, we hit up a lot of countries because it was a Mediterranean cruise (a great way to see a lot of countries!).

Girl, you’ve been working OVERTIME! Three posts in one day?! This looks like the PERFECT Father’s Day for Andrew! Absolute perfection! Great job, Friend!
Kathy says
We love Irish Whiskey! What a great way to celebrate Father’s Day! Your travel posts in Europe are my favorite!

Great pictures! But the fact that everyone is in coats and Smith has on a short sleeve t-shirt reminds me SO MUCH of my own 14 year old. #boys 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Please note that he is wearing the same black sweatshirt EVERY DAY because he only packed one because “it won’t be that cold” no matter how many times we tried to tell him. We offered to buy him another one, but he was too stubborn. Thank goodness it was black because it was not clean on day 7 😉 .

Shay – looks like an amazing trip. Belfast & Northern Ireland are both WONDERFUL. In looking through some of your older blogs, you had some braid tutorials but I never saw any for the braids you wore in London 2 years ago or ACK last summer (the two tighter braids from the top). Can you do one of those this summer and other hair inspo?
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh gosh, yes! That’s my favorite easy hair style. I am positive I have videos of me doing it. Let me look and see if I can find one. If not, I’ll make one 🙂 .

Any suggestions for cute travel crossbodies? Your LV is so cute, but I’m a little rough on my travel gear so I’m looking for a less expensive option. The one I’ve used in the past is a little too small. I’d love something cute that could fit sunglasses and a water bottle, etc…
Mix and Match Mama says
Have you tried the Lululemon bum bags? They are small but crazy roomy at the same time. The straps are adjustable too which makes it easy to swap out how you wear it.

Love the recaps so far and can’t wait to hear more! Any tips you have for keeping the whole family healthy while traveling? I don’t travel nearly as much as y’all do but always end up picking up some crud on the way back. I can’t imagine all the traveling you do and if you had to feel yucky during it, hopefully not!
Mix and Match Mama says
I always hate this question because I wish I had a good answer, but I just do not. We (thankfully) tend to be a really healthy bunch. For instance, none of my kiddos had to stay home this last year from school for an illness. Not to say we don’t occasionally get something, but it’s really, really rare. I don’t exactly know why, but we stay healthy at home and on our travels. Other than washing hands and antibacterial, I’m not sure I have a solid answer. I’m sorry!

I love Northern Ireland and have been to many of the places mentioned in your post, but I need to add a whiskey tour for next time! We love Irish whiskey! Where did you stay in Belfast? I don’t think I saw you mention where. I hope Kensington was able to enjoy some gf fish & chips ☺️ I have Celiac Disease, too, and find eating gf much easier in the UK than here in the US.
Mix and Match Mama says
We stayed at the Hilton in Belfast. It was in the perfection location!

Hey Shay, what resource(s) do you use when looking gf friendly restaurants when traveling? I’ve found the ones we use to be hit or miss with actual meal options when we get there. I’d love some better searching suggestions for our 3 gf world travelers!
Mix and Match Mama says
Well it’s two fold over here. Our travel agency keeps lists, data and info from clients all over the world which is used as a resource (I just sent a restaurant rec for Rome yesterday for one client), which is a huge plus to working with us. For me looking at new destinations, it’s often as simple as googling it and then looking at the menus and reading the reviews. I call to make the reservations and ask them about it at that time as well.
Becky says
Sounds like y’all had the best time!! I’ve been loving the updates and Northern Ireland has now definitely bumped up in priority on my travel list! Have you ever been to Borough market when you’ve been in London? Think you would love all the foodie stalls there! Spitalfields is also another good one
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m not sure that I have, but I need to visit. Thank you for the rec!
