Are you guys still in SUMMER MODE or are you in BACK TO SCHOOL MODE?
I’m just curious.
I am clearly firmly planted now in back to school mode. Now that Kensington’s school has also started, it’s been a week of figuring things out for my three teens (Mades starts next week). All three of them have early morning athletics which means that by 7:00 AM, I feel like I’ve already had a really full day. We are officially in the thick of it 🙂 .

Speaking of Mades…
…now that the other three kids are back in school, it has been EXTRA EXTRA Madeley time.
I am soaking it all up, guys. My other three are leaving the house before the sun comes up and not getting home until it’s almost dinnertime. They are in the throes of middle school and high school, and I miss them when they’re gone.
I only have a bit left before this girl is living the same life, so I am enjoying every moment I have with her now.
She had Meet the Teacher at her school this week, and I can hardly believe that the baby of the family is now in her last year of elementary school. Savoring that last kiddo at home is certainly a favorite of mine.
A super soft and cute little dress to wear when it’s 158 degrees outside is another favorite this week! Friends, it’s only $18 and comes in so many different colors. I wore it all day Tuesday and felt pulled together AND super comfy. Love.
Speaking of love, I am clearly loving…

Another favorite thing this week was…
…one of my amazing team members, Jane, got to spend several days at Disneyland!

I’m a teacher, and I start back on Monday. Our kiddos don’t start until the following Monday. Soon I’ll be entering BTS mode, but trying to make the most of our time left!

We are all school/fall over at our house!! We started school Wednesday and I am thrilled to be back into a routine! I love a schedule and am now waiting for all the pumpkins and cooler weather! I burned a cider candle yesterday and it made me so happy!

So this is exciting….we are officially able to ignore any and all back to school stuff as my youngest graduated college in May. After 21 years I’m in the I Don’t Care Club of Back to School Anything! 😂😂😂 Woot Woot. It’s very, very freeing! 🎈🥳

Hi Shay! Happy Friday! We are soaking up our final weekend of summer before meet the teacher on on Monday, and school officially starts next Tuesday. My oldest will be headed to Kindergarten, but we did Junior Kindergarten last year so we are used to the routine already. It amazes me that your kids are out of the house by 7am. I have never heard of schools doing sports BEFORE school starts. Is that just a Texas thing because of the heat? Here all the sports are after school and in the evenings. I cant imagine ever having to get up so early..I probably never would have played a sport! lol. Love following along as you get back into the school year routines!

Oh goodness, what a big year for you! I hope you enjoy every minute of this kindergarten year. Yes, the heat is why we have to do our fall athletics in the morning. It’s too hot to do anything outside after school, so they all start in the AM. 🙂

Hi from the Cape! We have a Sept 3 start for my rising high school senior and sophomore and! for my back to college (NYC)oldest!
I haven’t had the whole family together for most of the summer so I am taking in every single moment of being with them.
I am loving your back to school content though. It’s reminding me that there are up sides to summer ending too. Though the college goodbyes are never easy! ❤️

We just completed our first full week of first year middle school! New school, new teachers, and new classmates caused a little nervousness the first two days, but she has done great this week! We are definitely in school mode around here!
