Dancers & Accessories

Hey there Wednesday!

I have a fun mix today.

I have my favorite little dancers and then my favorite accessories from Nordstom.

So, let’s recap…

I shared this on Black Friday

Shay's Favorite Things

…my complete list of “favorite things” this Christmas season.  Then, Sheaffer and I did this…

…had a HUGE week celebrating the holidays with you in our annual Five Days of Fabulous (where we spent all week giving away and sharing our favorite things!).  Then yesterday, I showed you this…

my favorite men’s finds this season.  And finally today, I’m wrapping up my gift ideas by partnering with Nordstrom and showing you some of my favorite accessories this season.  Let’s be honest, they’re great gift ideas, but they’re also great for you to get for yourself!  (Hello, cute clutch for New Year’s Eve!!).  Here are some of my favorite cold weather accessories right now…which I need because I’m heading somewhere reallllly chilly soon!!

I mean…aren’t my hat and scarf super cute?!  And warm too!!  I paired them with my running gear: Nikes, Zella pants and cozy sweatshirt (I bought blue but it comes in several colors).

I bought this scarf right here and LOVE it!  It’s an infinity scarf, so you don’t have to fuss with it, just wrap it and go.  Easy!!  I loved it so much that I bought it in a second color too.  This cozy pullover is great for exercise or just being warm around the house.

My mother-in-law was shopping with me and made me buy my hat

…because she said it exactly matched my eyes.  It’s a really pretty color, so I’m glad I listened to her.  #sheisalwaysright  I paired it with this fun scarf!

So fun, right?!  I thought the color of this scarf just looked like January.  I’m all set for the winter now!!  When I went to upload these pics on my computer, I found these as the next two pics on my camera…

Hahahaha!  That Madeley!

Here are some other really cute cold weather accessories right now at Nordstrom (all at great prices!!).  Just scroll and click to open…

And then look at these cute clutches for the holidays!!  I adore me a fun bag with a Christmas/New Year’s outfit…

Speaking of accessories, I wore that scarf

…on Saturday morning to the girls’ dance recital rehearsals.  Love these three so much!!  We rehearsed and then later that day, they performed in three different shows…

A family pic with our “angel” from the Nutcracker.

Ebby Lee and Kensington are just the sweetest little friends!!  We were so proud of them on Saturday!

And I love this picture!  Kensington is laughing because Ebby Lee just told her to “stop being weird”.  Ha!  That’s what best friends are for!!  Sometimes, Ebby Lee’s mama has to tell me to stop being weird too 😉 .

My sweet sisters both ready to tap!!

And then after their last performance, everyone gave them flowers and hugs.  Look at all of the grandparents!  I love that our kids are friends, we’re friends and even our parents have become friends.  Isn’t that special?!  Love these people of mine!!

That wraps up Wednesday!  Don’t forget to check out Nordstrom for your accessories this holiday season!  See you guys tomorrow for another Shull family tradition 🙂 .

Us Slaughter girls are happy to keep those Shull girls in line. Ha! Saturday was so much fun. Those three little dancers were adorable (how many more years can I call the big girls that?) and they had so much fun!

Those Shull sisters look so grown up dancing! Do you think Madeley will follow in their footsteps?

    • Mix and Match Mama December 6, 2017 at 5:39 am

Oh my goodness! She kept asking during the recitals when it was her turn. Bless her heart! YES! She wanted to get up there so much!

  • Gentel McKenney December 6, 2017 at 5:40 am

Awww! My daughter is tapping in her holiday recital this weekend too, and she’s wearing the same costume as Kensington! So fun!

I love that you have a Christmas tree in your closet! I definitely need to step up my game.🤣

  • Angela Ellingson December 6, 2017 at 6:44 am

Adorable!! I love watching my tiny dancer on stage, too. My 6-year-old daughter Clara and I have gone to The Nutcracker the past 3 years. One of my favorite traditions!!

  • Sheaffer Sims December 6, 2017 at 6:51 am

Love the recital pics of your sweet girls! And I might have to come when Madeley’s up there. I can watch that girl just stand there, so I know I would love the dancing. 😉

  • Jen December 6, 2017 at 6:52 am

Hey There, wondering what styles of dance Kensington and Ashby do?

    • Mix and Match Mama December 6, 2017 at 7:00 am

      Tap, jazz and ballet 🙂

  • Lexie December 6, 2017 at 7:36 am

You should post the videos for us! 🙂
Also, love the white sweater you’re wearing in the family picture. Can you link it? Xoxo

    • Mix and Match Mama December 6, 2017 at 1:05 pm

      Boo, it’s an old sweater.

Love it! Dance is my 8 year old’s biggest passion. She is doing it competitively now and it is a whole new world. It is crazy how they go from being the cute toddler ballerinas and tappers on stage to actually amazingly talented dancers in no time. Such great memories, enjoy these moments!

  • Alexis deZayas December 6, 2017 at 9:46 am

I think I need that Free People beanie in the pretty blue color! And I laughed at your story of Ebby Lee and Kensington in their picture 🙂 A girl needs her best friend!

  • Anna December 6, 2017 at 9:56 am

I also have a daughter named Kensington but mine is only three weeks old 🙂 can’t wait until she starts taking dance classes!

  • Dee December 6, 2017 at 12:19 pm

K looks like her lines are very good. She also looks like she has good flexibility. Does she like ballet? It was always my favorite. “It’s the foundation of dance”, my teacher used to say.

    • Mix and Match Mama December 7, 2017 at 4:57 am

  • Michelle December 6, 2017 at 3:59 pm

  • Lizzie @ This Happy Life December 7, 2017 at 9:25 pm

I know those Zellas are sold out, but are they super long or no? I’m only 5’2″ and always have trouble with leggings but I’ve been wanting those zellas! The girls looked adorable at their recital!

    • Mix and Match Mama December 8, 2017 at 6:23 am

      They are not!!

  • Erin Port December 8, 2017 at 8:20 am
