Happy Friday, friends!
You guys, it’s Valentine’s Eve!
I was thinking of some of my favorite movies to watch around Valentine’s Day and came up with this little list:
Sleepless in Seattle
Hitch
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
Crazy Rich Asians
27 Dresses
My Best Friend’s Wedding
The Proposal
Leap Year
I could keep going (and going and going), but all of these felt Valentine’s-y to me. If you have other recs, comment and share!
Okay, it’s been a FULL week! I came home from Savannah, Andrew went and then came home from Colorado…it’s been a busy few days, so I’m really excited about a weekend with very few plans.
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and wishing you the BEST weekend!
Cheers to all the Valentine’s Day things. I certainly LOVE all of you! xx

COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD is having their CUSTOMER APPRECIATION SALE!

Now through the 17th, BUY MORE, GET MORE when you spend $100 (you’ll get $25 off!) or $150 (you’ll get $50 off!) no code needed!
Sheaffer and I were roommates in Savannah, and every morning, she was doing this which I thought was BRILLIANT…

…she was taking her DAILY MOISTURIZER and adding a drop of ETHEREAL GLOW SERUM (in bronze) and combining them together before applying.

I had been adding a little of the ETHEREAL GLOW for some contour, but this was WAY MORE EFFECTIVE! I immediately came home and have done the same thing every day this week. It just gives my skin a bit of warmth like I have the slightest little tan. It’s exactly exactly exactly what my winter skin needs.
ETHEREAL + RENEWAL CREAM for the win!
Just a reminder, here are my faves for skin, body and OF COURSE, hair (because once you use their SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER you will never go back!)…

#1: SHEER RENEWAL CREAM: great for a daily moisturizer, works so well under makeup!
#2: VITAMIN C NOURISHING CREAM: I use this as my PM moisturizer (and on really dry days, I’ll wear it in the AM too!)
#3: GLYCOLIC ACID PEEL PAD: Gentle enough for every day use! This makes my skin feel extra extra clean.
#4: RETINOL SUPREME EYE SERUM: A wonderful under eye cream!
#5: RADIANT CLEANSING BALM: The GOAT! This is my very favorite product, and if I only bought one thing, this would be it. I use this every single day to remove my makeup and cleanse my skin. It never leaves my skin tight or dry. It’s hydrating and cleansing. Love.
#6: The only SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER the ladies in my family use! Once you use it, you’ll never go back to the other stuff again. These are hair changing products.
#7: MOISTURE VEIL SILK EMULSION: Another wonderful AM moisturizer! There is just a little bit of pearl to it which makes my skin look extra radiant and healthy before I even apply my makeup.
#8: AGE RENEWAL SUPER SERUM: packs a serious punch! I’ve used this serum for years and years at night under my moisturizer. It fights the six signs of aging: texture, dehydration, elasticity, fine lines, radiance, and tone.
#9: SMOOTH & SHINE HAIR SERUM: I add it to my hair when it’s wet, when it’s dry…either way, it gives my hair that extra oomph it needs to keep is smooth and shiny.
Don’t forget, right now, BUY MORE, GET MORE when you spend $100 (you’ll get $25 off!) or $150 (you’ll get $50 off!) no code needed!
Thank YOU, Colleen Rothschild! I always love collaborating with you.

We are currently…

…experiencing Fool’s Spring here in North Texas.
Honestly, you know how I am. By Spring Break, I will be R-E-A-D-Y for warm weather and summertime schedules, but it’s only February 13th, so I need to check myself before I get the swimsuits out.
I know this weather is temporary, but we have certainly been enjoying it…

…tennis season kicked off for us again this week and the weather was PERFECTION. This girl was so happy to be wearing her shorts on the courts!
With three teenagers living here, I am SOAKING UP every minute of this fifth grader’s life. Including…

…volunteering at her school. I have been a “room mom” now for TWELVE YEARS, and this is my very last year. I feel very grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to be the room mom for all four kiddos at one time or another…but it’s bittersweet to know that this year is my last. Having kids at home has absolutely been my favorite thing ever.

The internet bossed me around and insisted I buy…

…THESE SNEAKERS 🙂 . I feel like everyone is sharing them, so I was intrigued and bought a pair too. They come in so many different colors, but I decided to go neutral. They’re really cute and so comfy too!

I wore them this week with my current “uniform”: ATHLETA JOGGERS (love) + THIS TANK (a staple) + MY DENIM JACKET (so cute, right?!) + MY SNEAKERS!

THIS JACKET is so cute! I love me a denim jacket, and I thought this bomber style was super super cute and unique from the other denim jackets I have.

Well this JUMPSUIT is just THE CUTEST! I wore it yesterday and received SO MANY compliments! Look how happy I am in this photo? Bahahaha! So so happy!
It comes in a LONG SLEEVE VERSION too.

I love a jumpsuit for traveling, for errands, for being comfy while also being pulled together. THIS ONE comes in many many other colors as well!

On the flight home from Savannah, I watched…

…People We Meet on Vacation on Netflix!
Here’s the deal, I read the book in June of 2021 and didn’t love it. I wasn’t going to watch the movie because I didn’t love the book, but Erika convinced me, and I thought it was cute. The reasons I didn’t love it when I read the book were actually negated in the movie (better ambiance, more characters, it was cuter/lighter and not nearly as rated R). It was the perfect thing to watch on an early morning flight…and would make a cute Valentine’s Day movie too.

And a few #ootd for you this week…

…MY SWEATER was the only souvenir I brought home from Savannah. It’s cotton and striped and oh so soft and cute! It comes in other springy colors too, but you know my heart belongs to navy and white. Love. I love THOSE MULES too 🙂 .

I brought MY EARRINGS to Savannah and have worn them several days just this week. Under $10, y’all!
On Wednesday, I had a meeting with a supplier and my cruise team along with other errands outside the house…

…so I wore MY MULES again with THOSE DARLING JEANS I LOVE (in “palms” wash) and THIS CARDIGAN.

The cardigan is soft and cotton, and I love it!

And it wouldn’t be Valentine’s Eve without…

…ONE BIG POST WITH ALL OF MY VALENTINE’S TREATS!

THIS POST has cocktails and hot cocoa for Valentine’s Day, cookies, cupcakes, waffles, even a steak recipe. It’s ONE BIG PLACE for all of your festive food 🙂 .
Happy happy FRIDAY, friends!
I hope you feel very loved this weekend. xx

Every year I HAVE TO watch the movie Valentine’s Day. It’s one of those movies with like 50 celebrities in it and all the storylines are intertwined. It’s cute and light and so festive 💗

Hey Shay,
Happy Valentine’s Day Eve! Love this post. Question about your makeup routine, do you wear any foundation over the moisturizer and CR ethereal glow? Or do you feel like it gives you enough coverage?
Enjoy your Friday.

I use my beloved Hourglass Foundation Stick. I have shared this a million times. It’s the ONLY “foundation” I’ve used in years and years and years. It’s a stick, so it’s not liquid and you can apply as much or as little as you like. It’s perfect with this combo. It’s here: https://bit.ly/460StZO

I would love to watch some of those great movies with my daughter. Are there any you would recommend for a 10 year old?
Mix and Match Mama says
Leap Year or Crazy Rich Asians are my youngest’s favorites from this list! So sweet!
Jennifer C. says
What color combo are those cute sneaks? They look more beige than gray, but the link takes to gray. Just want to double check! Thank you!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I went back to my order just to double check, but yes, these are the “white/grey” color combo. 🙂
Kelli says
Those sneakers are so cute! Do you have a favorite crossbody for travel to NYC, specifically? Would you recommend an “anti-theft” or just any bag?
Mix and Match Mama says
I personally take any crossbody bag. I don’t use an antitheft one.
Bren says
Okay, you and Sheaffer have now sold me to try the CR ethereal glow CR. I am LOVING the moisture veil silk emulsion so excited to mix a bit of each of these together and see what I think. Thanks, Shay!
Mix and Match Mama says
YES!!! It’s the perfect combination!
Mary says
What size are you wearing in the cardigan?
Mix and Match Mama says
xs!
Emily says
What socks do you wear with the shoes? I just ordered but realized I don’t have no show socks.
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t wear socks (ever!), so the answer for me is none.
