Hello, hello!
Happy Friday from Nantucket, friends!
Andrew, Ashby, Mades, Charlie, and I headed up to Nantucket yesterday to spend a few days, and we are already having so much fun 🙂 . This year, we aren’t able to make it to Daffodil (which is next Saturday), so we decided to come up the weekend before to get a little April in. It’s always so so good to be bACK.
Needless to say, I’m excited for my Friday and my weekend. I hope you are too!
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing this week’s batch of Shay’s favorite things.
Here we go…

Last call, last call! I shared this on Tuesday, but don’t forget, right now, it’s Colleen Rothschild SPRING BEAUTY EVENT which means…

…$25 off a $75+ purchase, $50 off a $150+ purchase and $75 off a $200+ purchase!
Now is a great time to try or stock up on my daily faves:
#1: Every day, I combine either the SHEER RENEWAL CREAM or the MOISTURE VEIL SILK EMULSION (both great AM moisturizers) with a bit of the ETHEREAL GLOW SERUM. This combo gives my skin a bit of warmth and glow without making it too bronze or tan.
#2: I apply a thin layer of VITAMIN C BRIGHTENING SERUM to my clean face in the AM and the AGE RENEWAL SUPER SERUM in the PM (and then I wear the VITAMIN C NOURISHING CREAM as my nighttime moisturizer).
#3: Morning and night, I use the RETINOL SUPREME EYE SERUM.
#4: And of course, my very favorite product is their RADIANT CLEANSING BALM! If I only bought one thing, this would be it. I use this every single day to remove my makeup and cleanse my skin. It never leaves my skin tight or dry. It’s hydrating and cleansing. My mom, daughters and I all use this every day. Love.
Now would be a great time to try my beloved SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER too!
I always love, love, love, LOVE partnering with Colleen Rothschild. I use and LOVE their products every single day.
Speaking of love…

I LOVED receiving this email and photo from blog reader Erin this week…

…agh! How sweet is puppy coton de tulear Zeke?! Oh my word, I want to bring him home to live with me.
Erin told me they were inspired by…

…our cotons and well, that made me very happy. 🙂

Last month, your very favorite item here on my blog was…

Which makes sense because…

…I love it too!
Since we’re all clearly fans of the black coverup, I found two other options for us..

…THIS ONE is short and smocked AND does come in other colors 🙂 .

The details are so cute, right?
But if you prefer a longer option…

…I thought THIS ONE was adorable because it’s longer and yet, the bottom of it isn’t too bulky. So cute!

My heart was oh so blessed this week when I watched…

…this podcast episode featuring my sweet friend Lauren!
You all know Lauren. She is a dear friend, neighbor, and author of…

…THE FRANCE DANCE! (By the way, if you need a really cute novel to read this spring/summer, here you go! It’s SO GOOD!)
Okay, back to the podcast, you can listen or watch it HERE.
Friends, it’s so good.
Lauren opens up about her faith, her struggles, her prayer life…she shares so much about how sometimes really good, virtuous, honorable things in our lives can turn into idols. I finished it feeling so inspired and encouraged.
This podcast platform is typically for women of faith struggling with infertility, so if that resonates with you, you certainly might want to listen to other episodes.
Well done, friend. I know your words and testimony will minister to so many.

My CROCHET TANK was certainly a favorite because I’ve worn it twice in the last week. I wore it to dinner with my family on Saturday night and then again when I had dinner with my friends on Tuesday night. My JEANS and SANDALS are faves too!

And finally, should you be visiting Trader Joe’s soon, make sure you buy a jar of…

…this amazing fruit spread so that you can make my…

…GUAVA OATMEAL BARS! Oh my word, they are so delish! Whether you have guava or not, you can STILL MAKE THESE BARS! This recipe is so easy to mix and match with your favorite jams or fruit butters.
I hope you all have the BEST Friday! I will see you back here on Sunday morning.
In the meantime, cheers to the weekend! xx

So many questions! I envy your travel schedule, but how does this work with the kids? Japan, Caribbean and Nantucket seems like a lot of missed days and jet lag for one month! Also, do you let your teens stay at home solo? We are contemplating doing so next month. Love your thoughts! Have a great day!

Japan was over spring break and the cruise was over our Easter break, so those were easy. The last few years, we’ve let the kids miss school for Daffy weekend, but this year we can’t go (boo). Smith and Kensington both had things to do at home/chose to stay for those things instead, so we just brought up the younger two. I would much prefer a longer summer over all of the breaks during the school year, but it seems like each year, we get more and more days off. We have learned to fit travels into those times as often as possible. Between kids and dogs, we always have someone at the house when we travel to hold down the fort 😉 .

Happy Friday!! I was hoping for your Bahamas cruise update this week because I leave TODAY for one! Celebrating a friends’ 50th! Any must do’s?

I blogged about it on Tuesday! You can see it here: https://mixandmatchmama.com/2026/04/royal-caribbean-3nightbahamiancruisepartone/
I hope you have the best best time!

Shay if you haven’t already tried Colleen’s new body cream and oil, it’s a must. So affordable and smells wonderful. Everyday people standing next to me say, “whose been eating Fruit Loops?” It smells like a better version of cotton candy and Fruit Loops, yummy, and makes your skin so soft. Absorbs quickly.
Mix and Match Mama says
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I think it smells like a lemon vanilla. I love, love how hydrating they both are!

So glad you are bACK! My daughter and I are planning a trip SOON! Is prom coming up for K? I saw Andrea and Erika mention it! My daughter is a Sophomore and counting down to prom next year!
Mix and Match Mama says
McKinney school district only has a senior prom, so we have one more year before prom. It’s going to be here before we know it!
katie says
Oh wow! We are pretty small district so we have JR.SR Prom but i love the concept of Sr only for a bigger school!
Mix and Match Mama says
Smith’s district is smaller, so they have a junior/senior prom. That means next year, they’ll both have prom 😉 .

I have that same short cover-up! I loved it so much in black that I got the white too!

I was hoping to hear more about your Easter cruise!!! Have a great weekend at your home away from home!!!
