Happy MAY, friends!

You all know this by now, but I LOVE MAY!

After all of those glorious ‘ber months, May is without a doubt next in line to be my fave.

I hope you are as equally excited about May as I am.  And if you’re not?  I’m hoping by the end of today’s post, you have an extra MAY pep in your step.

Every year, I try and kick off May with a little giveaway.

You guys, I did an entire post on THIS LUGGAGE, but let me tell you, it is game changing…which is why I’m giving it away 🙂 .

Every May 1st, I share thirty-one of my best “May meals” for you to enjoy all month long.  These suppers are all simple, all seasonal and all family faves.  There is no need to fuss with dinner, I have your May covered!

From burgers to other grilled goodies, pastas, corn recipes, lobster and so much more, it’s a delicious month of food for your May!

Okay, on to a few other faves from the week…

On Wednesday, I shared my WORKOUTS IN A WEEK and goodness, I received so many questions about my workout shorts and tanks.  So many of my pieces are older, but I tried to go back and grab as many pics as I could to share the deets…

You’ll notice different color options in the Vuori tanks and shorts.  I’ve been buying and wearing them for years, so none of those items are recent.  They last forever 🙂 .

This week, we have had allllllllll the weather here in North Texas.

From a 95 degree Monday to today (the high is supposed to only hit 62!), we have had a huge variety.

Between the hot and the chilly, we have had some gorgeous days for spending outside…

On Monday night, I took my magazines outside to read for a bit.

A good magazine and a gorgeous evening just make me really happy.

One pretty afternoon this week, Mades and I cleaned out our veggie/herb garden and planted some new “crops”.  We are anxiously awaiting everything to grow in, so we can start incorporating our bounty into our meals.

On Sunday…

…I wore THIS DRESS and HEELS to church.  The dress is so comfy and because of the cotton knit fabric, does not wrinkle.  It comes in other colors as well.

THIS SHORT SLEEVE SWEATER right here might be my “top” of the spring season!  You guys, it’s an Amazon find that does not look or feel like “an Amazon find”.

It’s only $19 and comes in so many other colors.

The material feels luxe…it’s light and soft and I really really love it.

And I loved my jacket so much this week…

…that I already bought it in white too.  It’s the kind of zip up jacket I will pull on just about every single day and wear around the house, to the gym, walking dogs, as a layer…love.

      I do deal with pollen. It’s terrible. Seasonal allergies are the worst. I bought the Anthro dress in xs.

    Question about the weekender: I have both the mini and regular size. I have heard the mini fits under the seat on a plane. Does the regular size weekender fit under seat or not? Would like to take the bigger one on my 3 week trip to Australia, but need it to fit under seat.

      Ashby wanted the mini, but K and I have the larger. We have been able to fit it under seats in economy class. It’s tight (I don’t think you can fill it all the way to the brim and get it to fit), but it has worked.

    I love May! My husband does not. This is the month I celebrate Mother’s Day, birthday and a 51st wedding anniversary. It sends my husband into a tizzy with all these celebrations!     Good morning and thank you for the giveaway opportunity! I am always intrigued when an avid traveller like you has such strong feelings about their luggage, particularly the personal item. I usually just try to find something that I know will fit under the seat, is big enough to hold my stuff and is easy to carry through an airport.     You have certainly made an impression on me. At 73 I ow walk most days with the same 10 lb weighted vest. I box 5 days a week. I made the blueberry breakfast casserole for dinner, my loved it and my husband & son finished the large tray before the next day. Loved it. I lost 49 lbs ad have very cut arms.

    Don’t know how I first found your blog but thank you for making a difference in my health journey.

    I am using your encouragement to make this the best May ever by boxing five days a week, walking every day and checking off little chores that I’ve avoided but feel good to finally get out of the way. I have resolved not to let the turkeys get me down but be the best me at 73 and not let nay sayers get in the way of my joy. After losing 49 lbs on my 4’10” frame I am in better shape than I was during the Jm Fixx running craze in ’75 when I was in my twenties. My arms are jacked but wrinkly- ah gravity is my enemy.

    Gray care, don’t care for so I made it blue and now its violet. I’m having so much fun thanks to you. Still teaching full time middle school Art at 73. I’ve included two photos to show hair color and a self portrait of violet hair. For some reason it won’t let me add photos.

    I’m very intrigued by this brand of luggage. We travel often and I’ve yet to find the “perfect” set. Just got out of the hospital, so my walking days are on hold for a few more days, but I look forward to enjoying spring. It’s wonderful to wake up to birds singing outside my window.
