This week at the Shull’s house, we had our first full week of school: cross country began, Wednesday night church started back up, we had an athletic parent meeting at the middle school, we navigated a new carpool/after school routine, and we complained about the heat. As much as I love, love my summers, I really love our school routine too…especially this time of year.

Last night, both of our high schools had their last scrimmages before the season officially kicks off next week.
Andrew and I cannot wait to watch…
…our favorite McKinney Boyd varsity cheerleader and…
…our favorite Lovejoy varsity defensive lineman 🙂 .
We have checked off scrimmages and “decals with dads”, and now, we’re ready for GAME DAY!
Side note, if you haven’t binged the TV show Friday Night Lights yet, you should. It’s a really fun one to watch this time of year!

Disclaimer, the language in the show is really funny but very “mature”, but the show itself is sweet and charming and uplifting and original and goodness, it’s just really GOOD TV.

…we are SO SO SO SO HAPPY THEY BROUGHT IT BACK FOR SEASON FOUR!!
If you are looking for quality TV, I can’t recommend this series enough. I was absolutely giddy when I sat down to start this new season.

I love the mask. I apply a very thin layer of the mask as the last step in my nightly routine. It seals i all the other serum. and facial products for an amazing hydrating overnight treatment. My other favorite is the large tub of. body cream that everyone says smells like fruit loops. Everywhere I go someone asked, “who just ate fruit loops?” Once a week I use the companion body oil after my shower all the other days it’s just the body cream, head to toe after each shower. It’s my new go to gift and I buy whenever they are on sale and keep in case I. forgot someone’s birthday or special occasion.

They do, and it’s not common…but it’s not crazy uncommon either. Oddly enough, my brother and I graduated from two different high schools and my mom and uncle did too (and my niece and nephew!).

I haven’t watched Ted Lasso other than a few minutes of the first episode this season 1, the grocery store scene. That was shot at the McKeever’s Market and Eatery in Lee’s Summit, MO last summer. I work for the Corporate office, so crazy that 10 minutes took them a full day of a rented out grocery store to shoot – we were all watching lots of security footage that day 😉 They spent a week around KC/Lee’s Summit shooting that one episode. Lots of excitement around this season of Ted Lasso.
