Happy MONDAY, friends!
I hope you all had the very best weekend.
We had cheer practice, the SAT, two kiddos had birthday parties for friends, church, tumbling practice…just all the things. After a late night on Thursday (staying up to watch the football scrimmage), I was asleep by 8:30. On a Friday night. And it felt glorious 😉 .
This morning, we are kicking off our week with…

…my TRADER JOE’S AUGUST HAUL!
Woohoo!
Now, if you missed BOOK CLUB on Saturday, make sure you pop over there and check it out too.
Alrighty, here’s what I’m currently finding, loving, and bringing home from Trader Joe’s this month…

I know, I know, I know…I always buy cards when I visit Trader Joe’s but honest to goodness, I use them all the time. This month, I picked up a few blank ones.

Mades was SO EXCITED about these! She has me get the Nutella crepes every week when I go, so she was extra extra happy to see that they have a new version out right now. She heats these up in the microwave for quick breakfasts or snacks and sometimes, she’ll put them in her lunch too. Each one is individually wrapped, so they’re really easy to put in lunchboxes.
Speaking of individually wrapped…

…these little squares are too! They taste more like a gummy than dried fruit. They’re really good…we’ve had them any time we’ve been looking for a little something sweet to eat.

I always get a box of the chocolate covered almonds, but this time, I tried the cashews. They’re delish!

We are big fans of a snack mix around here. I grabbed this bag for my kids to add to their lunches. My favorite part are the cereal squares inside.

Mades loves the smoked almonds that we get at a restaurant here in McKinney, so I bought this bag for her and she loves them!

I am always looking for easy ways to get more fiber in my diet…so I added a handful of this to my scrambled eggs and/or salads every day last week for an extra boost.

They’re tiny and adorable and easy to put in lunchboxes (or have with coffee for an afternoon snack).

They had me at guava 🙂 . Ashby and Mades each took one. I tried them both and loved them.

I grabbed this body wash while I was there too. Trader Joe’s is a GREAT place to stock up on beauty for teens and tweens.

I enjoy Buffalo sauce on everythinnnnnnng.
Okay, I made the mistake of…

…only buying two. You guys, I LEGIT drove back to Trader Joe’s the very next day to buy 12 more. Hands down, this flavor is the BEST BEST BEST we’ve tried from Barebells!

Mmmmmm…this tastes oh so maybe a bit like FALL! A little bit on a warm waffle…

…and breakfast was done.

What can’t one do with shredded rotisserie chicken?! Add to soups, enchiladas, salads, tacos, casseroles…the possibilities are endless. I added mine last week to my lunches for easy salads.

And because I enjoy all things dill, this was a no brainer.
And that is my TRADER JOE’S AUGUST HAUL!
If you’ve been to Trader Joe’s recently and have some August finds I didn’t see, please let me know. I am SO excited about allllll the September finds we’re about to enjoy. Bring on all the FALL at Trader Joe’s 🙂 .
I’ll see you tomorrow. xx

Fun! My boys start next week and their program is right near a Trader Joe’s. I am thinking I might steal your Hobby Lobby tradition – drop the kids off and stroll the aisles of Trader Joe’s looking for fun fall goodies!
Mix and Match Mama says
That sounds PERFECT!
Emilee says
I’m so ready for all the deliciousness we can expect at Trader Joe’s in the next few months!

I love your Trader Joe’s posts!! I am big fan of Barebells so I am definitely going to have to try that flavor! Honestly I would pick a Barebells over most candy bars. 😋

The Trader Joes I go to sometimes is around an hour away but I added Barebell brownie batter bars to my next HEB order. I am curious, Have you tried the new HEB in your area? It is a completely different experience than TJ and I would LOVE to have a local TJs but I do still love my HEB.

I have gone once (when it first opened). I haven’t been back because it’s just too big. My neighborhood grocery store is small and my two Trader Joe’s locations are too, and I just really prefer that to bigger stores. I know I’m the weird one. All of my friends LOVE HEB!
Laura Holmes says
Our family loves Barebells too. That new flavor is going right on the list!

Got the toaster waffles when I was there. So Good!. Looking forward to and LOVE the Fall Trader Joes haul. Always great with everyone sharing Fall finds that I may have missed when there. My hair dresser loves when I go in the fall because I always take her a Pumpkin Kringle from Trader Joes.

We enjoy the hot honey popcorn. Those barbells are good, but I wish the ingredients were better.
Mix and Match Mama says
I love that popcorn too!

Love your posts!!! I know you are a Walmart shopper also and wanted to tell you they carry a big variety of BareBell bars also. I really like the Brownie Batter ones you posted about today…but if you like lemon, do try out the lemon ones. They are my new favorite!! Happy Monday!
Mix and Match Mama says
I feel like my local Walmart does not seem to have a big variety. I use Walmart+ several times a week, but next time, I’m going to specifically look up both of these flavors and see if it carries them! Thank YOU!

Hi Shay,
Those barebells brownie batter protein bars sound delicious. While I haven’t tried them yet, trader joe’s has barebells pumpkin spice protein bars. 😋
We don’t have a trader joes located near us. Unfortunately, I have wait until this weekend
when I see my mother in law where they have one in Rochester Hills. If you happen to try it would you post your thoughts.
Thanks!!
Mix and Match Mama says
WHAT?! MINE DOESN’T HAVE THEM YET! This group will be the FIRST to hear about it when I find a pumpkin spice Barebell!!
Debbie says
The chocolate cashews are my absolute favorite. I will have to try the almonds.
Mix and Match Mama says
I think you’ll really like them too!

I was able to go to TJ’s last week when I was in the area (I live 30 min from ours) and got the Carolina Gold bbq sauce, the Ranch Cashews (delish!!!), plantain chips, frozen potatoes with onions and peppers and $30 more of things I can’t even remember now LOL! Can’t wait to go in the fall and around Christmas!
Jenna Graff says
I love Trader Joe’s but struggle because so many of their packaged products contain seed oils. I wish they would or could change this. Still a regular shopper and love your recs.
Stephanie says
We love the spicy snack mix. I’ve had to hide it from my college student home for the summer because he inhales the can so quickly lol I’m curious – where are the cards at Trader Joe’s? I’ve never seen them at my store.
Mix and Match Mama says
By the flowers!
Nikki says
I *always* stock up n greeting cards when I go to TJs!
Bren says
Oh boy…thanks to your recommendation I also love the Barebell protein bars AND anything brownie has me sold! Thanks, Shay!
Lacey says
I just looked at the Target website and they have barebells too.
Beverly says
Shay,
I’m pretty sure the wonderful waffle blanket I bought for my son came f rom your suggestions. My grandson just sa it and wants one too. I can’t. find a link to buy another one. I think the company is Bedsure.
Do you know which blanket & where I can order another one?
Thanks,
Mix and Match Mama says
Well goodness, she is no longer in business. That rec was from a friend of mine who makes them, but she has since closed her online boutique. They’re so lovely, aren’t they?
Debra says
We were there last week and got the hot honey – typical buy for us and the Deli style chips, which were new to us- my husband loved both.
Lisa D says
I look for the g-free pumpkin pancake mix in the Fall but I haven’t seen that yet 🍁🍂
Tracy says
My family was so glad they have the pretzel burger buns back. They are so good! I don’t follow the package instructions. You can just cut them, and heat them up on the grill along side your burgers for a couple minutes.
