Happy Monday, friends!
Well, how many of you have shown up here today to see who’s won the FIFTH and final prize for FIVE DAYS OF FABULOUS?????
Sheaffer and I are so excited to announce that TAYLOR POWELL has won!!
Congratulations, Taylor!!!
We emailed you this morning! Please email us back ASAP to claim your prize!
Well, boo. If you’re not Taylor Powell, I don’t have a Gucci bag for you, but I do have lots of goodies from Trader Joe’s to share with you. 😉
I went for my weekly Trader Joe’s run last week and intentionally paid more attention to the holiday fare…and let me tell you, THERE WAS TOO MUCH TO SEE! Guys, if you are thinking about visiting Trader Joe’s right now, GO. GO, FAST! Now, we have a g-free house, so I was very limited to what I could put in my cart (and ended up adding a few things to it with gluten just so I could try it and share it with you), but I feel like I left behind 4 billion other delicious looking (glutenous!) things that most of you need to add to your cart. I snapped some pics of a few of those finds too to share with you.
Okay, make a list, check it twice and go grocery shopping. Here are my newest finds just in time for the holidays…
Well, they swapped out the leaf chips for festive stockings and trees. If you buy these chips, make sure you make this…
…my Sausage Migas Breakfast Casserole 🙂 . Yours will be fun because it will be all Christmas-y!
Okay…I have a lot to say about this next item…
…Jingle Jangle. So, this is not gluten-free and therefore, last year, I didn’t buy it. But I promise you when I say, IT’S THE MOST SUGGESTED TRADER JOE’S ITEM FROM YOU TO ME EVER. Seriously, I’ll post on here or Instagram in like July and say “what should I buy from Trader Joe’s” and a dozen of you will comment back and say “well, it’s not in season, but when it is, make sure you buy Jingle Jangle”. Bahahaha! I mean to tell you, you ladies set my expectations high. Well, last week, Kensington had a scoring clinic at volleyball and then volleyball practice, so I knew she would be gone about four hours, so I bought it for us to try without her…and we ate it all. Andrew and I don’t even really like sweet things, but we were picking through the tin going “what is this, who cares, I’m eating it”. It’s like they took every cookie, popcorn, cracker, candy they make all year long, poured chocolate over it and stuck it in the tin. It surpassed our expectations. Not only would this be delicious to have in your home with a Christmas movie, but it’s cute enough that I’m mad I didn’t get a few more to give away as gifts this year. Neighbors, friends, random gifts…this would be a lovely one.
Get it. Get it now. Put this on everything. Buy a second bottle. I think this bottle was $7, but it was equally as delicious (or maybe even more!) then some of those gourmet bottles other stores sell for $25 or $30.
I bought this bar mix to keep…on our bar to pour into little bowls for snacking with our Christmas cocktails. It’s so good! This would also make a great little gift to pass out!
Here is the back of the tin, yummy, right?!
It has their Unexpected Cheddar in it. YUM!!!!
We love their cauliflower and their sweet potato gnocchis, but so many of you suggested we try this one too. We tried it this week when we had Sausage, Peppers & Onions, and it was also totally worth the hype!!
This trip to Trader Joe’s, I found several new things for me to keep in the freezer for weekday lunches…
They had me at spicy.
I thought these would be great in the air fryer!!
And these would be great in the air fryer too!!!!
And I’ve been having a moment with chicken curry lately, so this came home with me for a weekday lunch too!
Now, this Tomato Feta Soup was so highly recommend by you ladies, that I bought two of them! It is so delicious!!! Wow! This is really, really good!
And I switched things up this time; instead of buying the chicken noodle soup, I bought this one instead! I love a miso soup!!
For our Christmas charcuterie board this year…
…I bought both the Black Pepper Toscano Cheese and…
…the Toscano dusted with cinnamon. YUM! We also bought this to go on our board…
…the new White Truffle Popcorn! We’ve already enjoyed the entire bag!
In November, I shared several Christmas-y treats, but I have a few more…
…these Dark Chocolate Minty Marshmallows are so dang good as are…
…these Candy Cane Chocolate Covered Almonds! Both would be super cute as a little gift or easy just to put out and make any evening a little more festive.
I was thrilled to see that they had a gluten-free pumpkin bread this time! I’m not sure why I didn’t see it earlier in the fall, but guys, it’s really so good! We sliced it up and had it for breakfast. My kids loved it (me too!). Trader Joe’s always does a great job with their g-free baked goods.
Just do it. Trust me. Do. It. Speaking of which…
…these little bites are light, crunchy and a bit spicy. I had them for lunch with some soup and…
…this salad.
I couldn’t remember if I’d shared this hummus or not, but other than the dill pickle (my very fave), this one is tops in my opinion!
I’ve bought this now three times, but I don’t think I’ve shared it here before. You can, of course, use it for making bruschetta, but we eat it as a dip…or I stir it in to a quick spaghetti sauce for major impact. This is really good, guys!
Okay, a few holiday finds I saw but didn’t buy…
…tons of holiday inspired beverages, both with and without alcohol.
Yummy cookie mixes! They even have jars to gift of pre-poured ingredients in adorable mason jars!
YUM!!
English toffee…my absolute favorite candy!!
How cute are these tins of Danish butter cookies?!
Dark chocolate covered Peppermint Joe Joes?! Yes, please!
These little cookie mug hangers are ADORABLE!!! I so wish they had been g-free! My kids would have loved these!
Speaking of which, their gingerbread houses are so cute too!!!
They have cookie kits for decorating…
…and mini dark chocolate stars too.
My happy place 🙂 .
Look at these cute mini gingerbread people!
And seasonal baked goods galore!
Needless to say, friends, get yourselves to Trader Joe’s. STAT!!
That’s it for today! Make sure you also check out my NOVEMBER TRADER JOE’S POST as well for other holiday goodies in store! If you have any new finds for me, PLEASE COMMENT AND SHARE!!

After this post I’m rethinking my to-do list. Is there time for a Trader Joe’s run?
Beth Knecht says
I’m so glad to see this post today! I was scouting your website for g-free things yesterday! Do you have a favorite flour for Christmas cookies? I’m so dang frustrated with wanting to make them but the coming out crumbly!
Mix and Match Mama says
Me too!! I’ve been using Namaste and it’s working out…okay. They’re not perfect, but kids don’t mind.
Elspeth says
These all look delicious! It makes me wish I had a Trader Joe’s close by! Yum!

Alexis deZayas says
They make unexpected cheddar in a shredded cheese now and it’s delish 🙂
Nancy says
Could you please let us know what is going on your Christmas charcuterie board this year? I need ideas. Thanks!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes!!!!!
Dana says
These are all so fun!! After I suggested their candy cane tea, I called and realized that they’re sold out for the year! I was so bummed. It is so unexpectedly good! You’ll have to look for it next year. I’m thinking of calling corporate to see if they have any extra boxes somewhere! ?
Dana says
Umm, also…those peppermint meringues?! I evidently have a real weakness for meringues (I always thought they were gross!) because I could have eaten the whole box in one sitting!
Mix and Match Mama says
RIGHT?! What did Kensington say? I think she said they taste like the air in the North Pole. Ha!
Mary says
Thank you, I can’t wait to go pick up some of these goodies! Great gifts for neighbors instead of giving homemade things this year. I hope our store has the gingerbread man mug hangers…so cute!!
Alison says
All of those things look amazing… I need to make a Trader Joe’s run stat. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Sheaffer Sims says
I’m realllllllllllllllly going to try to get to Trader Joe’s today! We’re out of some favorites, and I definitely need to try some of these seasonal items!
Kristin S says
I’ve been buying those chicken lemongrass sticks for about 15 years. They are in my top 5 at TJs. They are delicious dipped in the TJs mango chutney – sometimes it’s on the shelf above them in the freezer section.
And those almonds. I went back and bought 6. To. Die. For.
Mix and Match Mama says
Why have I never purchased them before??? I put two in the air fryer and had them with salad and a little soup…amazing!!!!!! Getting the chutney!!!
Heidi says
Hey Shay…. I got a follow request this morning from an account that said it was yours, and it was some kind of award notification. Of course after I stopped screaming and calmed down, I read it more closely, and I think it’s a fake account. I just wanted to check with you before I reported it. Ok I’m gonna go curl up and cry now…. I seriously almost had a heart attack! ???
Mix and Match Mama says
Yup, it’s a scam. Please report it! I’m sorry they messed with you!!!!!!
Talia says
Oh, my! Makes me wish we had a Trader Joe’s nearby. Entirely different comment – can you remind me what Jack Black products your husband uses? I want to get some for my son-in-law and can’t for the life of me remember what you recommended. Thanks in advance!
ps; I am making your corn and bacon pasta for dinner this evening – a family favorite!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes!! He uses religiously, the body wash. He loves that stuff so much!!
Talia says
Thank you!

I almost got that Truffle Hot Sauce – good to know it’s delish. And those Candy Cane Almonds didn’t last a day in our house. Wish I had bought more. Love your TJ posts!
Ellibelle says
So many delicious treats!
Hilde says
Were all of the purchases you showed us (except for the Jingle Jangle) gluten free? Can’t tell from the photos you posted. I need to make a list and head over to TJ’s.
Mix and Match Mama says
The best thing to do is ask for their updated list of all g-free food when you enter the store. They will give you a list with each visit. The snack items (like the bar mix) are not g-free. The chips, cheeses, salads, soup, and many other items are though!
Lorie says
Thanks for sharing! My Trader Joe’s list is getting long!! Any gift ideas or stocking stuffers I should look for while I’m there?
Lisa Sipe says
Do you actually eat all the stuff you buy? Sure don’t look like it! I would weigh 300 lbs just after looking at all those goodies! Lol
Mix and Match Mama says
Well, I eat some of each thing, but I do share with those five other people in my house! Ha! I’m a big believer of little bits of good food.
Nicole says
I love that! So the peppermint covered almonds or the caramel coffee nuts, what’s a portion look like for you? And is it something you enjoy daily? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yesterday, I think I had four of the almonds after lunch with a cup of coffee. I don’t enjoy them daily, but I’m certainly happy to have them on hand when I’m looking for something sweet!
Lori R. says
I just bought the very last item, the Gingerbread Sandwich Cookies, last week….find your car keys now…go get some…because after everyone has eaten their first box they will be headed back for more …and then you won’t get any!☹️
They are amazing!
Kristi says
Yay! Just in time for my run!! Are you still having eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast? Would you say you have a snack every day or just some days? And if you have a board with Andrew, do you have a lighter dinner? Thanks!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
This morning, I had the egg bites from Starbucks. I would say most of the time I have eggs and turkey bacon…but twice last week, I had oatmeal. I don’t always have a snack. If Andrew and I have a board, I do eat a lighter dinner just because I’m not that hungry.
Kristi says
Thanks!! What do you get to drink from Starbucks? And what in your oatmeal?! You inspire me so much!
Mix and Match Mama says
I get a Pike with cream…since it’s Christmas, I’ll add one pump of creme brulee to it! And just a little brown sugar and some almonds or walnuts!
Sherri says
wow!!! I love this post!!! I’m a 2 hours drive to the closest Trader Joes – but looks like i need to fit a trip in!!! on a side note… woke up this am after a hard night ( broken relationships are hard)… and I was “hit” by how thankful I was that you show up for us day after day… seriously,,,, i needed MIX AND MATCH MAMA this morning… and you delivered… just by being you…. andl doing what you do…. Thank you….
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh Sherri! God bless. I hope you have a wonderful day today and a very Merry Christmas!!! xoxoxo
Janine says
Thank you for the truffle hot sauce suggestion! I am putting together a hot sauce/spice cooking basket for my Honey. Includes spices that Alton Brown recommended and DIY hot sauce kit. This truffle sauce will be a great addition. Now that California is back in lockdown I just have to hope that Trader Joe’s lines won’t get crazy again.
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s such a great idea!!!!
Kara says
They have a sparkling cranberry ginger drink (in a 4 pack of cans). It makes a great holiday twist on a Moscow Mule. Added vodka, and a wedge of lime and orange.
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you!!!!!
Danna F says
I just ate lunch but my mouth is W A T E R I N G! Yum! Got to go to Trader Joe’s !

I went to Trader Joe’s twice last week! It’s my happy place too. I bought the Chile Garlic cashews you recommended in one of your posts and my parents and I loved them!
Mix and Match Mama says
I bought another bag this week!! They’re so good!!
Shonda Moore says
Trader Joe’s has some of the best of the best and unoriginal products that you got to love..Especially Everything but Bagel that’s my personal favorite.
Robin says
That English Toffee with nuts is sooo delicious….and G-Free! If you haven’t tried it you will love it and if you have you already know! ? We love the truffle popcorn too and like you can burn through a bag in no time!
Amanda @ That Inspired Chick says
Chocolate pecan pie and gingerbread sandwich cookies were so mean to end on! ??? It’s all I can think about now!! I need a chocolate pecan pie!!! And it’s 11:26pm!! That Inspired Chick
Samantha says
That bruschetta sauce – if you haven’t tried it, mix with the TJs cooked lentils and some of their crumbled feta. 3 ingredients- mind blowingly good side salad!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you!!!!!!
Tim says
I love looking at this site as it gives me ideas of what to try if I haven’t already. Especially since I work at a Trader Joe’s and it’s hard to try everything!
Leslie Susan Clingan says
Why, oh WHY won’t Trader Joe’s and Aldis come to El Paso??? We eat here, I promise. And appreciate good food. I am so jealous of all of this goodness unavailable to me! Waaaa!!
My BFF in Oklahoma City (which is only a teensy bit bigger than EP) sent me the dark chocolate peppermint cookies. Delicious!! I am eating one a night and making them last. So good.
Brandy Lucas says
Thanks! This was so fun! I have to tell you to add the stroopwafel cookies to your list. They are so good!
