Happy happy Thursday!

Believe it or not, it’s ANOTHER Thursday + Friday football weekend!

When Erika and I saw both Lovejoy and Boyd’s football schedules and realized they weirdly and wildly had so many weeks when they didn’t play at the same time, you better believe we were giving thanks to the Lord. They absolutely could have had schedules that lined up single every week…so the fact that we’ve had the first FOUR WEEKS of the season on alternating nights is nothing short of a Texas high school football miracle 😉 .

10 Random Things My Kids Steal From Me

#1: MY PHONE CHARGER

I don’t understand what black hole my kids’ phone/MacBook/airpod chargers fall into, but it’s this dark vortex that clearly sucks them up daily because FOR THE LOVE they never know where theirs are and always take mine. And when I ask them “did you take my charger”, they always give me this blank look like “what is she asking me?”.

#2: MY STANLEYS

It doesn’t matter how many Stanleys or cute water bottles I buy my girls, they always walk out the door with mine. Did I take a Stanley-type cup to yoga today that has Frenchie’s face all over it because I couldn’t find mine? Yes. Yes, I did.

#3: MY LANEIGE

My girls love Laneige lip moisturizer as much as I do. You don’t know how many times I get cozy into bed at night with my Kindle and lean over to grab my lip balm only to find it’s missing.

#4: MY FLIP FLOPS

Last summer, Kensington discovered my Tkees on Nantucket and wore them every single day. This summer, I bought a second pair to take to Nantucket…and they became Ashby’s favorite shoe. In August, I saw them in the garage here in McKinney and asked Ashby what they were doing here (they live on Nantucket), she said, “they’re my favorite, so I brought them back”. I guess this next summer, I’m going to need to buy myself a third pair so that Mades can take those from me too.

#5: MY COZY BLANKETS

We love a cozy blanket around here. It doesn’t matter how many I buy, all my kiddos seem to gravitate towards the one I’m currently loving and/or bought for my office chair. One minute, it’s in my office…the next, it’s on their bed.

#6: MY PENS

I could buy my kids a thousand Flair pens, but for some reason, they always want the ones on my desk.

#7: HAIR TIES

It’s a wonder I ever have my hair in a ponytail. Any time I open the drawer with all of my hair stuff, there is nary a rubber band.

#8: MY PROTEIN BARS

Me: Buys a box of protein bars on a Tuesday afternoon that I am excited to try that week.

Also me: Goes to get a protein bar on Wednesday morning only to find the empty box.

#9: MY SWEATSHIRTS

Who knew I had the best collection of cozy sweatshirts? My girls knew. That’s why they’re currently wearing one to school right now.

#10: MY SHAMPOO

Is there anything more defeating than standing in the shower with wet hair when you reach over to get some shampoo only to realize the bottle is missing?

For the life of me, I cannot find mine to take a picture and share with you…AND IT’S MY FAVORITE! I have done this study three times over the last 20 years. I love it so much that I have placed my copy somewhere so special that I cannot find it. Sigh. It’s so good, y’all!

#6: DAVID by Beth Moore

This study here was the very first actual Bible study I did. This one changed my life. I have also completed it three times over the last 22 years. I did this study with a group of wives whose husbands also played for the Detroit Lions. We met every week during football season to work through this study, and it absolutely changed me, grew me, stretched me, and more than anything, gave me such a deep desire to study God’s word each day.
