Hello and Happy Thursday, friends!
You guys, today, I swapped up my blogging content so we could just focus on…
…the GOURD-GEOUS PUMPKINS at my house 🙂 .
This weekend, we are hosting a little birthday dinner for my mom and Kensington. Andrew told me he’d run by Calloway’s to see if they had any pumpkins out so that the yard looked nice for the party. While he was there, he looked online and found a few inspiration pics so that he could really make the porch look great. He came home, I immediately fell in love…and he went back for more pumpkins.
And then he went back again. And again. Because we are clearly addicted to pumpkins.
This is the earliest we’ve ever put out pumpkins, and more than likely we will have to replace a few here and there before November rolls around because of the heat…but man, they make me happy.
I thought my sweet hubby did such an excellent job that his pumpkins deserved a little post of their own.

My dogs are super curious about what I’m doing out front…

The front yard looks fabulous and so does…
…the back!
It’s crazy how happy a few little pumpkins make me.

Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere…
He even placed pumpkins…
…on my stoop too 🙂 .
We are clearly very ready for fall.
We had a few leftover pumpkins that we’ve added around the house…
Such a simple little addition…
And those are our gourd-geous pumpkins 🙂 .
Now, a few years ago, Andrew and I showed you how we spray our pumpkins to make them shiny and keep them looking good longer. We did this for several years (you can read about it HERE), but honestly, we got lazy and stopped. Now, we just set them out and hope for the best.

Shay we plated pumpkins in our garden…we have one little one growing and it makes me so happy!!!
We are supposed to get some cooler weather starting next week and I think Mums will be on my list for the first day of fall coming up. You are giddy with pumpkins…I can’t wait for Mums!

What do you do with the pumpkins at the end of the season? Compost, donate to a farm, etc? I always feel bad putting mine in the trash but don’t have a local place to take them…

A variety! We donate to friends/coworkers who are hosting Thanksgiving and compost the rest.

Wow!! Andrew is inspiring me to add some pumpkins to my terra cotta ones on my porch! It looks so pretty! Maybe you should grow pumpkins 😜 Apparently my neighbor across the street is. It was a happy accident as he threw out old pumpkins in the yard last year for the deer. This year he has a small pumpkin patch 🤣
