Now that Halloween is just around the corner, my house is brimming with my family’s favorite goodies. My husband loves him some Reese’s candy, so this cake is in honor of him and his favorite treat. Chocolate cake with Reese’s chips topped with a peanut butter frosting…sinfully delicious.
These little guys can be found on the chocolate chip aisle. However, if your store doesn’t carry them, substitute with any peanut butter chip or just add the real Reese’s Pieces candy in there instead.
Shopping List
1 box of chocolate cake mix
2 small instant chocolate puddings
1/2 cup veggie oil
1 cup water
4 eggs
1 cup Reese’s peanut butter chips (see pic above)
2/3 cup butter, softened
6 cups powdered sugar
3-4 tablespoons milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup creamy peanut butter
Garnish with Reese’s Pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease (I use Pam) a 10 inch bundt pan (or 12 mini bundt pans)
In mixing bowl, combine cake mix, puddings, oil, water, and eggs with electric mixer. Add in Reese’s chips and stir. Pour into prepared bundt pan.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cake rest on counter in pan 10 minutes. Then, invert cake onto serving plate to finish cooling.
In a medium sized bowl, combine butter, powdered sugar and milk with electric mixer until creamy, add in vanilla and peanut butter and beat until blended. Frost cooled cake and garnish with candy.
What a treat!
And for grins…my little trick or treaters in their pjs licking up the beaters after Mommy finished.

I'll keep it real, I was hesitant at the idea of using box cake mix for a cake because it's ingrained in me that from scratch is the best. But reading your recipes you have turned me into a believer and I haven't even tried one yet. They really do allow for so much creativity and customizing. I am dying to try some of these recipes!
