A pair of classic boots like this would stay in your closet FOREVER! You can wear these to work, church, dinner, or over skinny jeans…they are timeless and classic.
And these wedge boots (also in black) are just so pretty. I think you could dress them up or down (plus, a wedge heel is just sooooo comfortable!).
I have been wearing booties for years and love them because they’re just so easy! You throw them on with anything and your outfit is immediately elevated just a bit. Let me show you…
Aren’t they fun?!?! They can take a basic outfit and make it more interesting…love them!
These Sole Society Booties come in 4 different colors and are under $80! They are all so sassy that I don’t know which color is my favorite?!?1
If you don’t want a tall heel, these BP Booties offer just a little heel but not too much.
And these are the booties I bought this season…I love them. I love the gold detail and I love the wedge heel. Believe it or not but they are so comfortable! That heel really does give you a lot of support. I have already worn them several times and am IN LOVE!
Riding Boots
I told you in August that I bought my very first pair of riding boots…these Steve Madden ones right here! I have never worn flat riding boots before but since they’re always, always on trend (a classic!), I’ve decided to add them to my boot repertoire. I just love the zipper up the back!
I’m pretty sure any riding boot fanatic will tell you that Frye’s are the standard to which all other riding boots try to reach. These riding boots above are just yummy…yes, that’s right…I called a pair of boots yummy :).
So there you have it…if it’s not a wedge, it should be a boot. Why not end today’s post on a combination of the two? I give you…the Wedge Boots…
These Jessica Simpson wedge booties come in three different colors.
These gorgeous cognac boots are under $100!
These Uggs will keep your feet warm and your outfit stylish!

I have been dying to wear my new riding boots! Now I'm even more ready. Now if the weather in Fernandina Beach, Florida would cooperate!! Great post!

Riding boots are my favorite!! As soon as temps drop below 70, I consider it time for the Fall uniform – riding boots, skinny jeans, and cozy sweaters!

Lots of great information! My husband and I are going to Europe next month and plan to do lots of walking. Can you recommend a boot that would be super comfortable for walking an average of five miles a day?

Great post! This is honestly the first thing to get me excited for the cooler weather coming in the fall and winter! I love All seasons, but I've been stubbornly trying to enjoy summer until the solstice when it officially ends. But now…I'm right on board the fall train!

On the hunt as we speak for the perfect cognac riding boot. Needs to be cheap to fit into my budget, so it may take me a while, but I will have them this season if I can help it!! Thanks for the inspiration. I can't believe I didn't own a tall boot until last year – I have no idea why I waited so long?!! 🙂

Love boots! I really could use some Hunter boots as I live in Oregon where it rains for eight months out of the year. This is so stupid but they intimidate me to try and style??! I don't know why! I guess I should peruse Pinterest! I think they are SO cute and would love to work them into my wardrobe!!
Dianna says
I love tall boots but have noticed that the heel wears out. Does this happen to you? Any suggestions on ways to avoid it or do you take them to get fixed?
Mix and Match Mama says
I have never had a problem with my heels wearing down. However, a shoe cobbler can be a girl's best friend. Take your shoes to get repaired if you notice damage…they'll be like new again!

I need a good pair of rainboots. Everytime I try on a pair though, they are uncomfortable. I may just have to break down and eventually buy Wellies!
I have so many pairs of riding boots. They are by far my favorite kind of boots!
Anything and Everything says
Shay, I LOVE those rain boots. But what color do you suggest getting? I have A LOT of trouble incorporating colors into my wardrobe. I am more of a neutrals, then a pop of color kind of gal. But I was hoping for something that would be versatile from outfit to outfit. Thoughts?
Mix and Match Mama says
If you're unsure about color, then go for a nice neutral like black or grey. You can never go wrong with black!!

I love the narrow boots you featured!!! You can also pair them with the socks over legging instead of skinny jeans. That gives us cool look.

Hi Shay, Can you help me figure out the difference between the Military Red and Pillar Box Red Hunter Rain boots? Thanks so much!
