Life lately…
I found this pic on my phone (Smith was taking pictures in my closet and took it). This sums up how I feel about this special girl.
I flipped on the TV to watch the news around 5:00 AM and this guy was doing an infomercial for Body Beast…I just can’t shake him ;).
Carpool line selfies are a favorite around our car.
I love it when they’re all home from school. I miss them when they’re gone.
Because as long as I’m sleeping next to her, I will continue to take cute sleeping pictures :).
We went to the mall with Narci and Presley and rode the carousel before heading home.
I imagine she’s thinking, “what the heck?!”.
And now she’s thinking, “This is so much fun!”.
Five Shulls enjoying the snow!
The coolest snow angel around.
And not quite the coolest snow angel around!
Our backyard looked really pretty all covered in snow. This is the little creek that runs behind our house.
I’m going to have to really try and remember how pretty this was when it’s 103 for 3 months straight and everything is dried and up and dead!
On Monday night, we went out for Mexican food. My date and me.
Someone has learned how to make silly faces…
…yup. I wonder where she has learned that from…
…ahhhhh…yes.
While the big kids were in school, Andrew and I went to brunch with Ashby. We love spending one on one time with our littlest one.
On Tuesday night, we had our school’s Open House. Kensington did a great job showing us around her class! We were so proud of her!
This kid is going to do great in kindergarten next year! He’s already so excited (especially after he sees the fun stuff Kensington gets to do each day).
Well…that’s our life lately.
For dinner tonight, I mixed and matched Andrew’s favorite supper into something a little different…
Enjoy!

I love the sweet pic that Smith took of you & your little 🙂 What a beautiful moment captured in time! Although our snow was not nearly what you are getting, I am also trying to reel in my complaints as I know the straight 100 degree humid NC summer is just around the corner.

Shay,
I have a question ( you should do a Q&A of all the random questions you get 🙂
I know you have someone help clean your home, can you tell us more.. does she ' pick up' as well as clean, how often does she come in and how long does she stay etc.. also, what are the pro's and cons. I think every woman out there would be interested.

your family are so close. I love seeing how they are all growing up. Can you do a shade of shay on how you keep the romance going with Andrew. Especially now that Little Ashby is sleeping in your bed 😉 I have 3 children, and find by the end of the day I am too exhausted to ' get my groove on' and quite frankly, would rather go to sleep. I hear other people that have been married 10+ years still having sex 4 times a week, and I think ' please do not mention that to my husband'.
Are other women in the same boat?
Molly Middleton says
Not that I don't love my parents, but can y'all adopt me too?!?! I love your family and seeing how happy that sweet Ashby is. God has blessed y'all abundantly. XOXO.

Hi! Reading about Ashby and PT made me remember how we loved the Potty Time DVD from Signing Time! (There is also an app)I think all of the DVDs would be wonderful for helping her learn words! We first picked up a Signing Time DVD at the library and loved it so much that we got the Baby Signing Time. Within a few months my daughter knew at least 100 words before she was 2! I believe it helped quickly grow her vocabulary and they are sweet with cute (not obnoxious ) songs 🙂

Do you ever have vegetarian meal recipies? We gave up meat for Lent and are needing some good meal to carry us through Easter. Thanks!

This is unrelated to this post, but I'm hoping you have time to answer a question. I am trying to plan a spring break vacation for 1 month from now, and I have NO IDEA where to start. I saw that you aren't taking on planning any new trips, but do you have any advice on finding a good travel agent? Thanks!

Hey Shay! I love reading your blog posts. I am a Jamberry Consultant and we sell nail wraps which only take heat and pressure to apply. We also sell Jamberry Juniors, which would be perfect for Kensington and Ashby! I would love to send you free samples – please let me know if you are interested! I would really appreciate it 🙂

May sound crazy, but this is one of my favorite posts you've done. It's so neat to see the day-to-day blessings. The pic that Smith took of you and Ashby…precious. I chuckled at your comment over seeing your brother on tv at 5AM. And the pic of you making a snow angel…from the little I know of you, it seems to capture how you try to enjoy life to the fullest. Good stuff!
