It’s Stranded!!
The second Wednesday of every Month, Erika and I share three things we would take with us if we were stranded on a deserted island. In April, we kicked off this linky party with What 3 items from your medicine cabinet would you take? and then last month, we shared What 3 books would you take?
Today, we’re all sharing what three Netflix series would you take? I mean…this is the best deserted island EVER! We have Netflix!!!!!
Friends…you know how I love binge watching a good series. I did a post last year about my favorite binge-worthy series that you can read here and the best part about the post is…the comment section! You ladies left the best suggestions for other binge-worthy shows right there. So in case you missed that post, you can see it here and make sure you read the comments!
Well, right now, I’m halfway through Downton Abbey on Amazon Prime…so, technically as much as I would like to take Lady Violet with me, I don’t think it qualifies. Boo.
So…what three series would I take??? Here you go…

Hello, my name is Shay and I have watched every episode of Frasier at least 4,000 times and have no intention of stopping. I am a Frasier JUNKIE. I love Frasier. I love the characters, the writing, the setting, the humor…I love every little detail. Frasier just makes me happy. You would think that I would grow tired of it…but I do not. Give me all the Niles, Daphne, Roz, Martin and Dr. Crane…I love them all. This series would make me feel like home on an island.

Breaking Bad is the best show I’ve ever watched on television. Period. End of story. It’s brilliant. I also think it would be an excellent choice for a deserted island because it would remind me that no matter how bad things got on that island…things could be worse. #walterwhite

Gilmore Girls is the only series that I ever woke up in the middle of the night to start watching. I may or may not have set my alarm once for 3:30 AM so that I could start watching before my day began. #seriousproblems I love this show. I love the town, the pancakes, the coffee, the dialogue, Luke, the coffee, Luke, the friends, the coffee and Luke. This show just makes me happy and is one I could watch over and over again. On a deserted island when I was tired of eating coconuts, raw fish and bugs…I could just watch an episode of this and pretend I was there in Luke’s Diner with Lorelei and Rory. Love.

I added breaking bad to my list as well, but for a different reason. Everyone I know including you, raves and loves this show and I can't understand why. However, on the island I am determined to find out.
Also, I see a sneak peak of your suitcase in your shoe photo… I think a "how to pack your suit case" tutorial for travel would be super helpful. I know you have talked about what to bring but more importantly, how to bring it… also the kids bags. We are traveling at the end of the month… I never can get my suitcase to look as neat as yours did in the photo.

I started breaking bad as well and hated it, but the rest of America loves it so maybe something is wrong with me or i didn't give it enough of a chance.

A few friends and I started a Netflix club. We are watching The Killing and plan to get together to drink wine and discuss the series in 2 weeks. Just like a book club but Netflix 🙂

My guilty pleasure is Gilmore Girls. I will forever watch each episode over and over!! I also LOVE Parenthood and The Office. To further my addiction my husband and I watch Everybody Loves Raymond every night when we are going to sleep. Long live Netflix!

Gilmore Girls, because it is just THE best. Friends, was my all-time favorite sitcom through high school and still makes me laugh. Grey's Anatomy, because Meredith and Cristina are my people. It would be really difficult to not also want The Office, because I could watch episodes of that on repeat and still laugh till I cry.

Switch out Fraiser for Friends, and I am right with you. I feel the same way about Breaking Bad – it is the best show that I have ever seen. Period. #iamthedanger I am on season 5 of GG and things are really taking off. I try to squeeze in at least one episode between when I get home from work and my husband does. For me, Sex and the City could also give GG a run for its money if I can only have 3; I've seen each of those episodes 800 times as well 🙂 And finally, on the topic of binge watching, we just started Game of Thrones and finished Season 1. I think I'm hooked.

I have a feeling that you would have a new number 1 if you watched Parenthood. (Breaking Bad is my 2nd favorite) and it's wonderful..but Parenthood blows it AWAY! With your love of family, adoption, and baseball…you MUST..and I mean MUST watch it. I look forward to hearing your review. There are laughs and cries in every episode!! Love it SO SO SO much!!

You know they are developing a Netflix release of Gilmore Girls called Gilmore Girls: Seasons…should be available before Christmas of this year on Netflix! 4 – 90 minute episodes

I love this mine would be Friends, Downton Abbey (because I haven't seen it and want to) and Homeland we are obsessed with that show! Oh and those shoes are so cute but a 5 INCH PLATFORM ? Girl that would make me 6'5" I'm pretty sure gravity would get the best of me at that point. 1 inch shorter and I might have gone for it ?

Breaking Bad is ingenious, you have to keep watching and start at Day 1. Also, for those that don't know, Better Call Saul is Saul Goodman from BB. It is set in his younger days before he became Saul Goodman. 2nd season started bringing in characters from BB in their younger years (like the old man in the wheelchair when he was walking and talking). Excellent job at putting the puzzle together! Also, we love Bloodline, The Killing, Broadchurch (which is English version of Gracepoint). On Hulu, The Family, Secrets and Lies, Code Black, Greys….thank goodness Netflix is on that island!
