Oh my goodness!

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!

I’ve been waiting for this day for months now…I’m partnering with Nordstrom this week and we’re giving two winners $400 Nordstrom Gift Cards to shop their Anniversary Sale.

And this is just the first of two giveaways Nordstrom is helping me sponsor.

We did these giveaways last year and because you ladies loved them so much, we’re doing them again but WE’RE GIVING AWAY MORE MONEY. Thank you Nordstrom!!!!!

Okay…before we begin, a few quick things to note:

1: This contest is open to US and Canada residents. (My Canadian friends are going to be so happy!!)

2: The Anniversary Sale happens once a year and it’s when Nordstrom puts out their NEW fall stuff (clothes, accessories, bags, kids, men, beauty, all of it!) at a discounted price.  So it’s brand new stuff that will be appearing all fall long but for the next two weeks, IT IS ON SALE.  If you buy it after the Anniversary Sale, you’ll pay full price.

3. Things sell out QUICKLY!  I’m talking…faster than you can blink, so don’t wait long.

4. TOMORROW, the sale is open to EVERYONE!  For the last week, it has been open to cardholders only, but as of TOMORROW, it’s open to EVERYONE! (But you can start shopping now, add things to your favorites or cart and then get it tomorrow if you’re not a cardholder!).

5. Enter to win our contest at the bottom of this post and the winners will be announced on Thursday, July 28!!

6. I wore this bra in every picture (because I know several of you will ask!) and this lipstick.

7. Today, clothes, shoes & accessories I love, tomorrow kids and then next week (for our second giveaway), mens and beauty!

8. And for a size reference, my jeans are a 26 and all of my tops are x-small.  Many of you ask about sizes!

So, since I’m a Nordstrom cardholder, I shopped last week and here was my game plan:

1: Buy Christmas gifts.  Every year, I stock up on small gifts that I can save for either Christmas or other occasions.  I am always SO happy that I do this when the holidays rolls around.

2: Buy things that layer.  Let’s face it, it’s a long time before I need full on fall clothes, but beginning in September, I’ll need things I can layer, so I buy pieces that transition well.

3. I always get a jacket and booties because the prices are just too good to be true.

Here’s what I got…

I did this last year and am repeating it this year too!  I bought six pairs of Kate Spade Glitter Studs as gifts.  Okay, I kept the gold glitter pair for myself (and am wearing them in every pic below) and bought 5 pairs to gift.  These are great for babysitters, co-workers, sisters, friends, aunts, moms…all the girls in your life.  I know it’s only July…but Christmas will be here before we know it!

How cute is my top?!  Now, I’m not going to lie…this top will probably sell out and restock about a dozen times over the course of the sale because not only will it look adorable in the fall, BUT YOU CAN WEAR IT NOW!  And bonus, it comes in a pink color too. #yes

Now…my jeans are the exact same jeans I wore all year long in black.  You know what I’m talking about?  Those black jeans you saw me in a million times.  Well, the denim pair is a part of the Anniversary Sale.  Same jeans but instead of black, they’re a dark blue wash.  I about died!  I LOVE THESE JEANS!  I’m wearing them in every pic below.  They’re like wearing leggings…they are so comfortable!  I cuffed them because I thought they were cute cuffed plus you can see my booties better, but you don’t have to.  I’ll probably wear them both ways.

I also bought these booties during the sale in this burgundy color.  These booties come in five other colors but I am obsessed with this plum-y wine color.  Bonus, these are Bp booties, so they’re really comfy and you always order your true size. The price is so good that I’m contemplating them in one more color.  Then, I added a Kendra Scott necklace from the sale (and available in other colors!  I bought Brown Mother of Pearl.) and topped it with a faux-leather jacket on sale too.  The jackets are at an insane price right now.

I am set for fall friends.  Lots of layers I can wear now and again later when the weather is cooler.

Now, I would say that the scarves are going in and out of stock faster than anything…so that’s the bad news.  The good news is that there are so many cute ones, that if one goes out of stock, there will be four more you like.

Another cute top that can be layered in the fall or worn alone right now.  This year, that was my game plan…and I think it worked out beautifully!  This top also comes in another color too.

Well, no surprise here.  I am the self-proclaimed Queen of the Plaid Shirts, so I bought this light plaid one that I can wear with shorts and sandals now and again in the fall.

The sale has loads of plaid shirts.  I could have bought at least 12 :).

Well, this next purchase was random but it gave me the biggest “ahhhhhhh” when I tried it on…

…oh baby.  Look at these shoes.  They’re suede and they’re shockingly comfy.  Now, at first, I threw them on with my jeans to take pics but a few days later, I went ahead and wore them out…

…with my last top from the Anniversary Sale (with that same necklace!).  Fall stuff that can be worn now. #thatsabigwin

These shoes also come in grey suede and red suede too!  And the tank comes in two other colors (check out the cut out on the back, it’s super cute!).

Okay friends…last but not least, my very favorite thing from last year’s sale is still my favorite from this year’s…

If you look back at pics from me in the morning and night, you’ll notice that I have last year’s pairs on in every picture.

I love these pajamas.  I wear them ALL THE TIME!  Plus, they make EXCELLENT  Christmas gifts!  Last year, I think I gifted 4 pairs to women in my family.  Love, love, love how soft they are, how light they are, how easy to wash and dry they are.  Love.  Now, you’ll notice that I paired mine with the Ugg slippers from the sale.  I bought those but already returned them.  I didn’t return them because I don’t love them (how can you not love an Ugg?!).  I returned them because they were too similar to the ones I received for Christmas.  So, they went back to the store…but I love them and they would also make great Christmas gifts (I gifted two people them last year!).  They come in multiple patterns as well 🙂.

      It’s faux! I feel like it really runs true to size (I bought an xs just like I did in my shirts), but size up to play it safe. The quality is excellent for faux!

    Shay- You have to check out the Ugg Duffield Throw Blanket. It is the softest, most cozy blanket ever! It’s usually $98 but it’s on sale for $69. It is my favorite gift to give random people that are hard to shop for (Grandma, Mother-in-law), etc. I even bought one for myself for Christmas this year. Haha. It’s going to sit in the closet until December when I can open it. 🙂

    I didn’t really get to shop the sale this year. We had a pipe burst in our bathroom and flood the house so all our extra money is going to cover our insurance deductible. I did get a pair of pink Chucks for my daughter for school though, and one new sweater for myself. The PJ Salvage Jammie’s are my fave!
