It’s Friday!
Every Friday, I link up with my girlfriends Narci, Erika and Andrea and share my favorite things from the week. As always, my favorites are a random assortment of things. Happy weekend to you my friends!
xo
The most asked question this week was…”What color nail polish are you wearing?”. And the answer is…Essie’s French Affair.
It’s my new favorite :). And just for grins, that’s Essie’s Coconut Cove on my toes.
Home & Family sent me a few action shots this week. I obviously could not have a Friday Favorites without including them, right?! Thank you Hallmark for having me! I cannot wait to come back and hang out with you again!
Such a fun day in LA!
Okay, I tell you guys this all the time, but some of my very favorite tops come from Loft. And you know what I love about that store? Just like Gap (who by the way is also 40% off right now), there is almost ALWAYS a sale. Right now, with promo code BESTFRIENDS, you get 40% off everything. I bought this black tank there in July and it’s already sold out (that’s another thing about Loft…if you don’t hurry, it’s gone). One of my favorites this week is stores I love that regularly have amazing sales :). Use code BESTFRIENDS friends!
And once again, speaking of 40%off…
…my new favorite shirt that I just can’t stop wearing is 40% off right now! Woohoo!
I could have done my entire Friday Favorites on the Olympics. We have the fever over here! Every night, we’ve been making homemade ice cream and staying up way too late watching. We cheer for both the US and China…which is crazy fun. My kids are OBSESSED! We basically chant “Michael, Michael, Michael” in our sleep now.
I made a breakfast casserole that tastes like monkey bread. My Cinnamon Monkey Bread Casserole is going to make your weekend. Trust me. Click HERE to see the recipe. You are going to LOVE it!
That’s my Friday Favorites this week.

What kind of ice cream maker is that, I’ve considered getting our family on but not sure I want to give up my Halo Top Ice Cream.

We have been loving the Olympics as well… gymnastics and swimming are both so exciting!! I just wish they’d put it on a little earlier… we stayed up WAY too late last night to watch Michael Phelps!!
Have a great weekend, Shay!

My kids are starting to get into the Olympics and it’s so fun to watch with them!
I’ll have to add that recipe to my To Make list, I already have the peanut butter & jelly bread on it 🙂

Your evenings sound similar to mine – ice cream, the Olympics and staying up way too late!!
Kathryn says
Ok, you were amazing on the show! I just love reading your daily blogs. What a wonderful family….question (and I should’ve asked when you did your house post) what color is your granite? I’m remodeling and wanting something that will go with dark cabinets and a grey painting scale and I love your countertops.
Aubrey says
Ice cream and Olympics…YES, MA’AM! The competition when we fill out our daily medal chart is fierce between our children born in GB and Germany. Thank heavens we can all agree on Team USA! And I read today that if Maryland was its own country it would have the second most medals (behind USA), which gives Ella Mae EXTRA bragging rights since she lived there. 🙂
Rebecca Jo says
Is that a homemade ice cream maker? … its probably a good thing I dont have one of those in my house.
Kayla Bruce says
This is all so fun! I love that you’re routing for China & the US. The adoption stories come out of the Olympics are pretty cool. Quick nail polish tip: if you dip a q-tip in some nail polish remover, you can clean up the edges of a manicure so there is no uneveness or any on your skin! I will have to check out those colors…
Carley says
Can you please tell me about your ice cream maker and the recipe you use?? Thank you!
Lacy Byrd says
Watching the Olympics is my favorite, too!
Karen says
THE Olympics are so exciting this year!!!! Loved your episode on Hallmark ~ you are a natural!! I just ordered a new book ~ not sure if you caught Jersey Belle on Bravo awhile back, but Jamie Sullivan just released a book ~ The Southern Education of a Jersey Girl. She was on her local news show this morning saying that she finally loves the South……;-)
Megan says
I love that your family is cheering on China too!!! Makes my heart happy!!!

Yes please…ice cream recipes that are easy and no cook.

A little over a week ago I commented, saying that for some reason I had never gotten into the Olympics. Now, a week later, I finally have caught Olympic fever. I finally understand why people can’t get enough. I am not American but after seeing Phelps and Ledecki (sp?) swim, how can you not root for team USA. After watching swimming, gymnastics, and beach volleyball, I finally get why people stay up way past their bedtimes to watch. These athletes are something else. All of them!! Amazing!
Jessie says
Will you do a back to school post? I could use some ideas for boys, it’s so hard to find cute things for them! Your kids are always well dressed. Thanks!

I need to know all about this ice cream maker!
