It’s Workin’ It Wednesday!

TRANSITIONING YOUR CLOSET FROM SUMMER TO FALL.

Because…we’re all doing it, so let’s discuss 🙂 .

If you follow me on Pinterest, then you know how I love to pin things by season and occasion…including clothes.  Right now, my Fall & Winter Style Board is on fire because I keep pinning, pinning, pinning things trying to get me inspired on what to wear these September days.  Here in North Texas, our mornings start off nice and cool (in the mid-50s), but by 2:00, it’s 80.  So, I feel the need to dress in layers that look like fall but won’t make me heat up later on.  I also try and buy pieces that layer well year around (like a good denim jacket!), so that my clothes aren’t just “winter” or “spring” but more versatile.   Here are a few things I’ve been wearing lately, and then, I can’t wait to see the link ups and check out what you’ve been wearing.  Here we go…

I paired that 3/4 length fleece top from our Alaskan cruise with my shorts and Converse for some Sunday afternoon errands.  I bought that top in June for our cruise and will be wearing it year around!  It’s fleece, so it’s warmer, but it’s not thick (so, I don’t get hot).  Plus, I thought it looked cute with my shorts from this summer and my old standby Converse.  Annnnnd…of course, I’m wearing one of those camis underneath it because I pretty much wear one every.single.day.  They are the BEST!  The top is still available and comes in 13 different colors!  I bought the soft blue color…but really, I should buy one more because it’s so soft!

And then, I’ve told you guys this a million times, but I love wearing scarves that look like fall but don’t feel like fall.  You know, light scarves that have fall colors…but they’re not heavy and warm.  Like these…

I wore this to dinner on Monday night.  My favorite jeans (that I’ve had for years!), a sleeveless black top (works year around!), peep toe booties (those are PERFECT for transitional weather!!), lightweight gold earrings and my plaid scarf…or…

…with my leopard scarf 🙂 .

I ended up wearing it with my leopard scarf, but they both look cute, right?  They’re light but they look like fall 🙂 .

And speaking of scarves…I mean, I feel like I should mention this one again since today’s post is all about what to wear this fall…

Scarf//Top//Jeans//Flats

Light top with my mustard scarf and I look like fall (but I’m not super hot!).  It looks like mustard is sold out right now, but the scarf also comes in these colors too…

And then I showed you these two transitional outfits on Friday.  This is like my daily uniform: comfy jeans, cute top, scarf and flats (or booties)…

      It fits like a glove. You can wash them a million times and they don’t stretch out or shrink. And the material is so soft!

    Now that it’s fall, do you still use the white polish on your toes? Or do you change it for the cooler months?

      I still use white. I just like that on my feet. It looks clean. Is that weird? Ha! Probably.
