Today, our Smith William turns EIGHT!

This only boy has such a special place in all of our hearts.

He is sweet to the core.

He is loving and caring.

He takes his roll as big brother very seriously (and is often found “big brothering” his older sister too).

He is fun to be around!

He is super easy going.

Smith loves to challenge himself and doesn’t limit that to just one thing…he wants to be challenged in all areas of life.

He is wise beyond his years.  He says things and contemplates subjects that are so mature and thoughtful.  He is always asking questions.

Smith is such a constant in our family.  When the girls are crazy and wild (and with three girls, it’s often that way!), he is always the voice of reason.

I just love this kid so much!!

Smith is precious.

We could not have asked for a better brother to these sisters.

I always tell Smith that I spent years praying for each of his sisters (through infertility and adoption), but didn’t pray one time for him.  Ha!  I always say that God knew I needed him even when I didn’t know.  He is the BEST surprise…orchestrated by such a BIG God that knows our needs even when we’re not asking.

Happy eighth birthday to our Smith William Shull.  You are a blessing to this family each and every day.  I cannot wait to see how God uses your life to further His kingdom. xo

    My BABY of our family turn so 4 today and well…I just can’t stop crying already!! My Vivica is the same as Smith she is so smart and thoughtful. She asks questions well beyond her years but seems to understand the answers to……and of course we just love ❤️ her to pieces. And you know what we planned our other 4 babies but she was a sweet surprise blessing to!! Hey for 18th of January babies!! May God bless Smith today and all year long!

    So sweet. I just love this post. I’m expecting our second child, a boy, this May. We have a daughter and I’m one of four girls so the thought of a boy really threw me for a loop, but I’m so excited that my husband can teach our son to be a wonderful man like he is. Thank God for strong, loving, godly men and the sons that they’re raising!

    Reminds me of my only boy! He has 5 sisters and he’s the oldest. I always tell him what an amazing daddy & husband he’ll be one day because he’ll understand girls a little better. He’s 15 now and I know I’m a blink of an eye I’m going lose my “co-pilot” to driving his own car & not long after that he’ll be off on his own. I remember him at 8 & he was a lot like Smith. I’d love to have a day back and that age. 8 is a perfect age. ❤️
