Friday Favorites: SUPER-SIZED Edition


It’s a SUPER-SIZED edition of my Friday Favorites!

I don’t know what it is…but I wrote down a lot of fun and favorite things this week PLUS, Nordstrom reached out and asked if I wanted to share some of my favorite gifting ideas today and since basically all of these things would make great gifts, that was an easy partnership to say YES to!!  As always, I’m linking up with my girls  Andrea, Erika and Narci and sharing everything I love with you today.  I’m so happy that it’s FRI-YAY!

Obviously, a favorite of mine this week are the Disney recaps that we’ve done.  If you’ve missed any of them, you can catch them here: PART ONE, PART TWO, and PART THREE.  I just got home from vacation, but these posts have me itching to go back 🙂 .

If you know me, then you know how much I value skin protection…which is why my name is Shay and I have 8 billion beach hats.  Whether you need to grab you a hat for this summer or if you know someone who is a skin protector like me, any of these hats would be great gifts too.  Plus, they’re all super, super cute and under $30!  Just see…

One of my favorite gifts to give…plus things to wear…are cute earrings.  I’ve been telling you ladies about these new ones from Kendra Scott because they’re actually light (unlike many of her other ones).  I wore them on this night…

…with my cute red dress and heels, but you can’t see them.  Here is a good pic of them though…

Have you seen my uber-talented sister-in-law’s cards that you can plant and then a wildflower grows?  They are so stinkin’ cute!!  Kensington thinks it’s just about the most fun thing EVER!  Check them out HERE.

Looking for an Easter dress?  I wore this one to church last week and after I got home was like “Why didn’t I save that for Easter?”…

…cute, right?!  And comfy too 🙂 .

Look how cute this stack of bracelets is…

…I was so pleased with them when they arrived!  For $38, you get five bracelets...

…here is the backside of the bracelets.  You can wear them all together or separate them out.  I thought this would make a super cute gift to give for a graduation this May or even Mother’s Day.  I bought the gray stack, but there is a blue stack too.  Fun little bracelets to get, gift, or give.

And since we’re obviously talking Nordstrom gifting today, my favorite thing to give from them is…

…is a good old-fashioned gift card.  You can even send e-gift cards directly to people straight from Nordstrom (which is typically what I do when I host a giveaway!).  They make gift giving easy which is why they’re my go-to for presents 🙂 .

    Love all these! How do you travel with your hats? The one time I tried to fly with a hat in my bag it got bent.

      With a prayer 🙂 . I stacked them together and then carefully packed everything around them in the suitcase (under them and on the sides).

    Do these hats actually stay on your head? I have such a problem with them blowing off on the beach that I bought a super ugly hat with a strap! ?

        Same on the head. I measured mine one time for a hat that was “one size fits most” and my head was outside of the limits. ?

    Speaking of sun and skin…I recently had a facial and the cosmetologist applied a tinted spf at the end. I loved it and discovered it was also a brand my dermatologist carries. It’s a “smart” shade so it automatically matches your skin tone. She said she’s used it in all complexions from light to dark and uses just it as her tinted moisturizer or foundation. Here is the link – kinda pricey but a little dab is all you need. Plus it’s spf 45! My dermatologist is hosting a sale day next month so I plan to purchase it then and can’t wait.
