You know me…I like to celebrate every occasion with my peeps, and the first day of school is no exception! I asked my three bigs heading of to elementary school what they wanted on the first day and here’s what they said…
For breakfast, we agreed on…
RED VELVET PANCAKES with…
…SAUSAGE BALLS! I’m going to be honest, I always go eat breakfast with a bunch of mamas on the first day of school, but I will be stealing a sausage ball or two before I go. #theyresodarngood
After school, my kiddos always come home and we eat…
…BUTTERSCOTCH MAPLE NO BAKES! This has been a tradition since Kensington started kindergarten. Andrew comes home from work and we hear all about their first day!
For dinner, the kiddos decided that this year, we will be enjoying…
…PIZZA LASAGNA! The best part about this recipe is that I can assemble it that afternoon before they’re home and just pop it in the oven before dinnertime. We will serve it with a Caesar salad and call it a day!
Now, we’ll probably eat a leftover NO BAKE cookie for dessert, but if you’re looking for one last something sweet to end your day, I’m going to suggest…
…my No Bake S’mores Bars. Because s’mores, fall and back to school just go hand in hand!
If you missed my post HERE about back to school lunches, what thermos to buy and what we should be getting at Costco, you need to read it. STAT.
Also, make sure you catch this one too…
…my BACK TO SCHOOL EVERYTHING post!
As much as I love summer, there is something magical about this time of year. It’s the beginning of a wonderful season and new chapter. xo

Who can blame you?? Would it be weird if I asked you to throw a couple in your purse for us to enjoy while we wait for breakfast?

But what happened to the traditional green pancakes? I was positive we’d see them for first day back. Lol

Which sausage balls do you prefer; these or your Ultimate Sausage Balls?!

That’s like asking me which kid I like best?! Hahaha! The ultimate are just classic (and easy!), but I love jazzing them up with chiles and candied jalapenos too! You really cannot go wrong!

In the recipe for butterscotch maple no bakes, do you use crunchy or creamy peanut butter? Have to try these! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
We always use creamy!
