    Shussssssh!! Stop telling everyone about Cadillac ? It’s my favorite place too but the wait is always so long now. ? I also go to their sister property in Plano too, Taverna Rossa. It’s a bit bigger, and nearly the same menu!

    I like that you wanna visit Iceland and when you do, I would recommend to go (also) outside the regular south Iceland / Golden circle routine that most travelers go. Visit West Iceland, and the West fjords, the east or the north and the best time would be in June (when the sun does not go down ) or in the winter (nov-feb) when the northern lights dance in the sky 🙂
    And your kids would love the whale museum in Reykjavík.

    I LOVE a London fog latte! Yum!
    James is also one of my favorite books, although I’ll be honest, I used to hate it. As a baby Christian, and I’m sure under conviction for many things, it made me squirm! So I didn’t enjoy it.
    Now I do love it and take it as loving instruction! I’m hoping that means I’m further along in my faith walk!

    I’m totally stealing this as a blog post idea!! Thank you. Have you ever thought about visiting Canada? We have some pretty great places to visit. I’m biased since I’m from the East Coast (Nova Scotia) but check it out. And I live in Toronto and there is so much to see and do here and so many great places to eat. Name the cuisine and we have it!!

    I love that you did two Starbucks! Haha! So true to have the treats vs normal! Ugg slippers is my fav go-to when I get home too! Now I just need to look at those bible studies. I’ve done so many but never a Beth Moore. Friends have always said they have a lot of work with them and I never want to give up some of my daily scripture reading/devotionals I already do in my quiet time. Thanks for a great list!     It’s so interesting to see how much your favorite high school subjects now play a role in your career and life. I read a book called “The Girl I Used to Know” and it says the things you loved to do when you were 12 are usually what you will enjoy as an adult only in an adult variation. We are who we are!

      I agree! We’ve been to both Australia and New Zealand multiple times and find NZ to be a beautiful place with some of the most friendly people we’ve ever met. My husband actually talks of retiring there someday. Go! (And while you’re there, do the Lord of the Rings tour and visit Hobbiton!

    Love all of this!!! One question…have you ever tried Lululemon yoga pants? I really love them because they feel soooo buttery soft, but…. after having them for one year I’ve noticed they really start to show their wear. I’m wondering if you’ve ever tried them and how you would compare them to the Athleta ones you posted? Thanks! And Happy Tuesday, Shay!!

      I have one pair and LOVE them!! That being said, I have like a million pairs from Athleta because I really feel like they wash and dry to perfection time and time again.

    I love that in one of your older posts, you said “you won’t ever find the Shulls on a Disney Cruise” (BARCELONA & RIVIERA CRUISE: DAYS 5 & 6), but now it’s listed as one of your top trips with kids…hahaha! I can’t wait for my kiddos to get a little older so we can take them on Disney trips! 🙂

    I was thinking maybe you could do a Top 3 about travel fails/lessons learned or “Momfessional” moments. And Top 3 kitchen gadgets, baking tips, organizational/cleaning tips…I could go on & on asking for your advice! Haha

    Shay, loved your top three post. Since Ireland and Scotland made the list, I suggest a very binge-worthy series to watch. I am sure you have heard this before but worth repeating: watch Outlander. The first season is so good, you will want to continue through all four.

    I loved this post! My husband and I went to Australia and New Zealand for our honeymoon last May and it was the best! We did the North Island of New Zealand due to the differences in season but it was absolutely beautiful- felt like we were in a whole different world. We cannot wait to go back and explore the south island. I hope you all get to check it off your bucket list soon!

    I’m SO glad you brought up that you guys went to DC a few years because I completely forgot about that trip! We’re going in May to visit the in-laws in Maryland who live 30 minutes outside of DC, and since I’ve never been before, we’re going to site see and do all the touristy things DC has to offer for two days while we’re there. Since we’re going for such a short period of time, what are your top recommendations that one MUST SEE/DO while they’re there for only 48 hours? (Also going back and reading those 3 blog posts now for inspo!)

    This is such a fun list – as usual, I got so many great ideas from your faves. I’m curious – do you work on the Beth Moore studies on your own or in a Bible study group? I’ve done them in a group, but there are so many good ones. I’ve thought of just doing them on my own. Do you watch the video or just do the book? Thanks!

      I do both! Sometimes, I do them in groups at church, but often, at home. I rent the videos off of lifeway’s site (info in each book) and do the homework during the week.

    And. . . . what a great future travel list!
    Australia—Kangaroo Island and Tasmania—magical! Such a big country; each part so special. Love wombats!!!
    New Zealand—kayaking, hiking volcanos, but oh the wildlife—penguins; wild kiwi on Stewart Island.
    Iceland—waterfalls galore, but hold children’s hands—not a guardrail in sight.

    I’m laughing so hard at “Touching Each Other.” I’m a 79 year old former school teacher, mom and grandma and my sons are over 50 years old. My grands are ages 15, 13 and 11. Touching each other is a universal issue with siblings. The other one for me was “He’s looking at me funny!” One time I piled up cereal boxes between them at the table so my sons couldn’t see each other. LOL . Another time vis a vis touching each other. I was driving with my grands and had heard he’s touching me or she’s touching me a zillion times. I happened to be in front of the police station and I pulled in and just sat there. Silence in the car and it was golden and remained so till we got home. I never said a word.

    Iceland is by far my favorite vacation ever. Go! Also, have you tried a London Fog with peppermint added (with or without the vanilla). If my stomach is anxious I find it helps. And it’s good!

    New Zealand is a MUST – I smiled big when I saw it on your list. Went there last August (their Winter) and it’s amazing!! Best vacation ever (we were in Scotland the same time as you – my second fave vacation). We loved Waiheke Island in the North Island, but the South Island is by far the place to be — Queenstown has our heart. It’s a ski town with a huge lake at the base — it’s a casual, smaller town with lots of places to walk/shop, and lots to do!! Milford Sound via helicopter is magical.

    Loved This! Two Things – 1 – Have you found somewhere to still get Let’s Be Friends? It is my favorite and I was so bummed when they stopped making it! – 2- What version of the Bible do you use?

    Loved reading this Shay!!! Just curious- have you and your family ever been to a Babe’s Chicken Dinner house?? There are several in the DFW area and I’m working part time at one to pay off student loans. Great pies and banana pudding and they are very kid/family friendly!

    May I suggest Call the Midwife as a binge watch? It can be both funny and heart wrenching, sometimes in the same episode. Also, before Christmas I asked on Facebook your opinion about packing cubes. At the time you had not used them. I went ahead and bought them for my friend and have also been happy to read how you have been pleased with them as well.
