Helllllllo, Monday!
Today’s post is TELLURIDE PART TWO! If you missed PART ONE, you should go back and catch up 🙂 .
Day 3 started out just like the others…woke up, Andrew made breakfast and we enjoyed the coziness of it all 🙂 .
All my boarders and skiers were excited to get back out on the mountain! Here we are heading to the gondola around 8:00 to kick off our day.
I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again…Telluride, you are BEAUTIFUL!!
I helped Andrew get everyone dropped off at ski school and/or lessons and then headed back to my spot for coffee and reading. #iwasnthatingit
Andrew sent me this super gorgeous pic from the mountain.
On this day, Smith had a private snowboarding lesson for half the day, so these two hit the slopes together.
Hot chocolate is a must when you ski!
I don’t have pics to document it…but, I got Smith from his lesson and we met Andrew and K for lunch. After that, they kept on skiing/snowboarding and I headed back to do some laundry, straighten up, etc. Then, at 3:00, I went back to help get the little girls from ski school. They all cleaned up and then…
…we headed out for dinner!
Photo with my kids or The North Face ad? Ha!
(Side note, you can find all of our jackets still! Here you go: I couldn’t find Smith’s any longer, but ME//ASHBY//MADELEY//KENSINGTON can still be found! My sweater, unfortunately is no longer available.)
On this night, we had reservations at Rustico, and it was one of our favorite meals!! This spot is tiny and cozy but we had the best seat in the house. See that empty table by the girls? That was ours!
Photo by Ashby Shull 🙂 .
My girls were playing a serious game of Spot It before dinner!
It was just the coziest, yummiest spot for dinner. Who doesn’t love pasta?!
The next morning was New Year’s Eve! We decided to explore the town on this day instead of hitting the mountain.
Telluride has the cutest little town. There aren’t any chain stores/restaurants, so it’s all unique and original.
Oh look! I made the pic too!
I love this boy!!
We were having no fun at all 😉 .
He’s such a great girl dad 🙂 .
We always love a bookstore!!
Later in the afternoon, we went back to our place and watched some college football before our fun big NYE dinner out! We had reservations at The New Sheridan Hotel for their prefixed NYE dinner.
It was such a sweet time at our table that night reminiscing about 2019 and getting ready for 2020.
After dinner, we headed back to our place to watch the ball drop. And then we stayed up until 1:00 AM watching Live PD. Bahahaha! Once you start, you can’t stop!!!
The next morning, we slept late…
…and were all smiles in 2020.
After our lazy morning, we headed back up to Mountain Village for some other fun activities…
It snowed so much on New Year’s Day!!! The gondola ride was even more fun in the snow!
The snow was coming down, and the Shull kids were loving it!
We stopped for Nutella crepes because…YEAH!
After that, the kiddos all skated in the snow! This was one of their very favorite things to do while we were in Telluride. It was cold and snowy, but they did it all afternoon!
Meanwhile, some genius put a Starbucks RIGHT NEXT TO THE OUTDOOR RINK! We sat under heaters outside, sipped our coffees and watched them go!
Later that night, we headed back to Smuggler’s for dinner! And this cozy pullover is one of my very favorite!!!!! It’s not bulky, but it’s still cute and warm (and comes in several colors!).
This dinner was even more fun because…
…we got to watch Tab officiate the Rose Bowl!! See him? We had the best table and were able to enjoy the second half there!
Her face sums us all up!
That wraps up PART TWO!
I hope you all have a great start to your week! See you guys back here tomorrow for a little bit of this and a little bit of that! xo

Sounds like fun. It is a great town…but…Starbucks is a chain!
Mix and Match Mama says
Starbucks is in Mountain Village, CO…not Telluride 😉 .
Wendi Koehn says
This makes me wish I was in CO right now. It sounds like you guys had an awesome trip 🙂
Sheaffer Sims says
My gosh y’all are having a great time! And those mountains are gorgeous!
JK says
Did you post where you stayed? I need to look to book next Christmas trip!
Mix and Match Mama says
I didn’t just because we’ll probably stay there again. It was in Telluride (not Mountain Village)!
Mary says
I’m not sure I understand. Is it a private residence?
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes that we rented and not a hotel, so I don’t want to give away the address in case we go back and stay there again.
Narci says
What a great trip. I loved seeing all these pics!
Annie says
Your skin always looks lovely, but for the last month or so, it’s just absolutely gorgeous! Have you recently changed something?
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you for saying that!

My family of 6 is going on our first ski trip in February! Like you, we have multiple coats per person. What’s the best to pack them? Do you still use the packing cubes?
Mix and Match Mama says
Everyone has a ski jacket (for the mountain) that we bring and then another coat for wearing around town. When we are at dinner/out and about, we are letting the ski/snowboarding coats dry so that they’re not wet/damp the next morning when we go to wear them again to ski.
Stazzi says
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Do you wear one jacket on the plane and pack the other? I was almost thinking of bringing 3 jackets per person. Do they fit inside the packing cubes? Have you ever sent luggage ahead of time? We’re thinking of doing that so we don’t’ have to worry about hauling it around.
Mix and Match Mama says
We pack the ski/snowboarding jackets in packing cubes and then wear the other jacket on the flight! I have not ever sent luggage ahead of time.

Andrew is sure setting the bar high, for your sweet girls (in regard to boyfriend/husband material!) Which is a wonderful gift! You better have one of those family pictures in a frame already!!! Adorable!!!
Lauren says
The views are gorgeous and it looks like you had a fabulous time! I’m amazed that with all of the snow (and it looked like there was still snow on the road) that the sidewalks were clear.
Jennifer says
Enjoying reading about your stay in Telluride! You’ve got me talking to my husband about that being our next winter trip! Hoping you discuss where you think the best place to stay is in that area. Love the gondola and Winter Village area! Live PD IS addicting!! lol!
Andrea McAnally says
LOVED all of this but I especially loved Ashby’s outfits : ) Girl was ROCKING that beanie and sparkle boots.
Judi says
If you get back to Telluride/Mountain Village this season, be sure to introduce yourself to musician Cousin Curtiss. He’s a favorite in the area, plays at Gorrono Ranch (outdoors entertainment venue) and at Tomboy Tavern. He was a high school teacher (wonderful with kiddos) in Alaska before deciding to sing full time. People who have heard him play have flown him all over the world for private parties & weddings. You won’t be disappointed. 🙂

Kensington looks grown with her beautiful, long hair!

Do you have a link for your girl’s snow boots? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
They’re both Uggs from Nordstrom!!
Lauren says
Where did you get the light pink beanie hat from? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s from Express, but it’s an oldie!
Kate says
Looks amazing! Your kids are getting so old! ?

Did you visit the library? It’s amazing! Your kids would absolutely love the children’s section. Believe me when I tell you it’s a must see when visiting Telluride.
