It’s What’s Up Wednesday TAKE TWO!
On the last Wednesday of every month, Sheaffer and I host this little linky party where we share what’s going on with us right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post. Since my post last week never happened, I decided to do a little “what’s up” today 🙂 . Here we go…
1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
Friends, I’m into my air fryer these days!!! On Monday night, we had another air fryer supper and each and every time, I’m impressed! I’m going to start sharing some of my recipes soon, but for now, just now, I’m loving it! Andrew has been using it to make his lunches every day for over a a year, but I just recently jumped on board about 6 weeks ago. It’s kind of crazy how easy it is to use and clean and how crispy and delish it makes everything from that Trader Joe’s gnocchi to chicken (and fish and so much more). If you have any air fryer “musts” please share them with me!!
Last night, I made this for my fam…
…Old Fashioned Sloppy Joes before heading out the door to meet some friends for dinner. This is always one of my family’s favorite recipes and so easy to make g-free.
Tonight, we’re having…
…Slow Cooker Beef Stronganoff (just in time for the cold front!!), and then tomorrow night…
…Simple Sausage, Peppers & Onions for dinner!
2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
Guys, we are like totally smitten with…
…Miss Yankee Doodle! She is just sweetness!! I already love seeing her little personality develop. I think she’s going to give Poppy more of a run for her money than Frenchie does. Frenchie will just lie there and take whatever Poppy gives her but Yankee seems to enjoy pushing Poppy’s buttons. That being said, every day, I put all three dogs in my office with three bones to chew on while I work and about 3 minutes later, every single day, Poppy lays there with three bones in her possession while the other two dogs just look at her. Ha! Yankee has been such a sweet addition to our crew.
3: WHAT I’M LOVING:
Cheer on Netflix! I love watching documentaries and found this one particularly fun. If you haven’t heard about it, it’s only six episodes, so it’s not a huge time commitment. This team is actually only like an hour and a half from me but up until this series, I had never heard of them. Now? I’m a HUGE fan! If you have kids at home that are in their ‘tweens and teens, I think it would be a great one for you to watch together. Their work ethic alone is a reason enough for young people to watch. Are there other documentaries out there similar to this one I might like??? Please let me know if so!!
4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
Rest and recovery 🙂
5: WHAT I’M DREADING:
Um, we have a full on coyote problem at our house. We’ve always had wildlife at our house, but right now, it’s a full on coyotes verses us situation. At this point, we’re not taking the dogs out in the backyard early in the morning or late at night because honest to goodness, there are coyotes hanging out back there. I’ve been out there twice now and felt someone starring at me only to realize it’s a freakin’ coyote!! So, we’re being EXTRA CAREFUL with the dogs. Then, at 4:00 AM on Monday morning, I opened my front door to take the dogs out front and THERE WERE TWO COYOTES IN MY FRONT YARD! What the heck?! It’s like I’m living in some Stephen King novel where the family is trapped inside because of coyotes surrounding them. They need to all go back to where they came from. Stat.
6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
Just like any business, there are busier seasons than others. This right here has always been Mix and Match Travel Agency’s busiest season. January through March is when we are really on fire over here with vacation planning. Between spring break of this year, spring break of next year, this summer, this fall, next winter…everyone is planning, planning, planning their trips right now. And we’re loving every busy minute of it 🙂 .
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
We have our school’s Family Valentine’s Dance this weekend and it’s Kensington’s last one. (Insert me sobbing right here.)
Look how cute they were five years ago at the first one?! Kensington was in kinder and Ashby had only been home with us about two weeks. Friends, it went by too quickly!!!
8: WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:
Yesterday, I shared my JANUARY BOOK REVIEW with you!!
If you missed it, make sure you go back HERE to read all about my books from last month…PLUS, READ THE COMMENT SECTION!!!!
Hmmm…I really want to discuss this show in the comment section today…
…who here has watched this new-ish series? I have all the thoughts. I’ve watched the first season, and I haven’t decided whether or not I like it yet. Is that weird? My dad asked me what it was about, and I even had a hard time just describing it. Let’s be honest, you all know I would like to live inside a Hallmark movie and this, well, it’s the furthest thing from one (I would call it rated R for language). I love all three of these actors, but this show is not funny…it’s serious. I think it boils down to being about manipulation? (Everyone on the show seems to be manipulating someone else.) That being said, it could be about other things too? I don’t know? I don’t dislike it…I was intrigued, but I’m not sure I liked it either. Thoughts? Opinions? It was unexpected to say the least.
9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
Three dogs snoring…
10: WHAT I’M WEARING:
I’m currently obsessing over sweatshirts. They seem to be the perfect alternative to a heavier sweater…a little more laid back and weekend-casual (heck, Monday casual for me!)…
…I think I’ve showed you this one before, but I’ll show it again. Love the leopard 🙂 .
This cute striped sweatshirt is from Target as is…
…this camo one! Aren’t they cute? In the Target sweatshirts, I sized up to a small (to make them roomier), but in the leopard one, I bought an xs. I think they’ll be great with shorts this spring outside at baseball tournaments too!
Now, this one here I wear all the time (I just wore it yesterday!!)…
…is sold out in this blush pink color, but you can find it in this pretty color HERE. You can also find the exact blush pink color in THIS STYLE HERE.
11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
I honestly do not know? That’s kind of nice 🙂 .
12: WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
I’m actually looking forward to this at the end of THIS MONTH…
We have worked so, so, so hard on the first ever Manda Strong Gala, and it’s next month!! I am so proud of this foundation and cannot wait to celebrate our moms and raise even more money for them on this night. I just know that Manda would be so proud of what her parents and friends have been able to accomplish to help other moms in our county fighting cancer.
13: WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
That’s it for today!! Hope you all have the best Wednesday!! xx
Kelly says
As a teacher, I usually can’t find time to watch a lot of shows but over Winter Break, The Morning Show sucked me in. I started watching it because of Steve Carrel & Jennifer Aniston and almost turned it off after season 1 because of the harsh language, but I kept going back to it. I found it intriguing to see these actors in such a serious role. I made it through season 1 but, wow! a little bit more drama than what I’m used to. I’m also curious of others’ opinion of the show.
Ahna @ Hammers N Hugs says
Aww, I love that you are planning a gala in your friend’s honor. I would love to hear tips an tricks and what you learned helping to host a charity ball! I am actually in the process of organizing a large charity ball that will take place this fall for our family’s adoption, but moreover, it’s going to be an evening to honor the local families’ incredible adoption stories that are rarely heard and the organizations making those stories possible. I just landed on a gorgeously donated venue last week so my brain is #allthethings gala over here! Can’t wait to hear about yours!
Sheaffer Sims says
I’m going to come over and mat talk you as you are dealing with the coyotes.
Mix and Match Mama says
I just LOL!
CATHY Boulanger says
PUSH! PUSH! YOU’VE GOT THIS!
Mix and Match Mama says
Hahaha!
Sarah says
I have the exact same thoughts about the morning show!! I think maybe I was expecting more of a light plot and humor. I like the actors a lot so it keeps me coming back, but it feels dark and seedy.
Kary says
I rarely watch TV anymore and The Morning Show is the first thing I’ve watched in probably 5 years. I love all the actors so I thought I would give it a shot. I’m totally with you. I don’t even know how to describe it but I want to see how it turns out. I think the confusion for me is I don’t know who’s side to be on. There really isn’t a character you can trust or cheer for just yet. It’s all still such a mystery. It’s so so dark too. Literally and content wise! Plus I can’t get use to Reese with brown hair. Haha!
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s me! Who do I trust? At certain moments, they all seem trustworthy…or deceptive.
Katie says
We binge watched it on our “sloth day” during a recent Girl’s Weekend. Keep watching…uncomfortable, but I think it ended better than I thought it would. It is a little less fluffy than my normal tv selections, but I liked it a lot…and want to see the next season! I did have issues watching “Michael Scott” as a slimy bad guy, though.
Meg says
That’s what I loved about it! I work in a similar type industry and I thought they did an incredible job at capturing what sexual harassment and assault can look like in a workplace – it’s not always black and white, there’s a ton of grey area too. It really made me think.
Lea says
The Morning Show sucked me in right away! I think I like it so much because it’s not like any other show I watch. Also, I love seeing Jen & Reese playing different characters than they usually do. I can’t wait for season 2.
Sarina says
It is planning time! Clare just helped me finalize my 5 year anniversary trip to Como! Can not wait!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Awe!! I love Como!! You will have the best time!
Charmaine Ng | Architecture & Lifestyle Blog says
Love your recipes and book reviews as always! Great post, Shay. 🙂

Tamara R says
The coyotes know you have little dogs and now they’ve told ALL their coyote friends!!! Eeeks be careful girl! ?
Michele says
It’s actually mating season for the coyotes so they are on the prowl. This shall pass in time but keep your dogs inside.
Erika Slaughter says
Tomorrow when you wake up your house might be surrounded!!! I’m nervous for you!
Sara says
Coyotes are no joke this year. Yikes! Sorry you are dealing with them; especially with all the little furry friends at your house. I am here for all the air fryer talk. I rarely get mine out because I just don’t know what to really do with it.
Lynn says
I know you are Gluten free. FYI canned cream of mushroom soup usually has gluten in it. One of the hidden ingredients. I’ve been gf for 10 yrs and still am shocked with where gluten is hidden. Good luck on the journey glad it’s helping
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes! I’ve been ordering g-free cream soups on Amazon!!
Dana says
When we were in Tulsa last winter I saw a coyote saunter right in front of our house, past the neighbors’ houses, and then down to the middle school across the street. It was crazy! I called animal control and couldn’t get anyone to come out to get it and it disappeared. So creepy!!! I hope you get control over those and quickly.
Also, I don’t know if you’re in a music rut, but I have a random suggestion. I started creating playlists on Amazon music and absolutely love it. I made 3 different ones- Christian, country, and ‘popular’-meaning anything else I like to listen to. Every time I think of a song I love, I add it to one of those. Now I have hours and hours of a tailor-made list of music! I can’t believe I never did this sooner because music can change our mood so quickly.
Mix and Match Mama says
Awe!! Thank you so much for the rec!!!
Angie says
This time of the year is mating season for coyotes so they are out extra, and even more aggressive than usual. We live in the deep South (Alabama) so we have them year round, but this time of year is vicious! We have had them to come up pretty close to the house even in the middle of the day. Glad ya’ll are keeping an extra eye out for those sweet pups.
Jess Wade says
I loved The Morning Show. First off, love Steve, Reese and Jennifer! And to see them in such different roles than we’re used to seeing them in is very intriguing. Obviously you can see the resemblance of this show to the Matt Lauer scandal/situation at the Today Show. I think in simplest terms, it’s about gender barriers in the workplace, something that has been a hot topic for the last few years. But also something many people are afraid to talk about. I would say keep watching, but I’m more of a drama fan vs. the Hallmark-y type movies/shows anyway.
As for the puppy, she’s so cute! I lost my 14 year old Shih-Tzu back in July and am just now to the place I feel like looking for another one (still miss him terribly). I’m going to take Andrew’s advice and read the Cesar Millan book since it’s been almost 15 years since I trained a puppy! 🙂
Jenn says
Jess-I totally agree with you and was going to comment the same thing about the show and the Matt Lauer similarities. Especially when they showed the scene early on with the button that would close and lock Mitch’s door! I loved it and thought the acting was phenomenal!
Valerie Allen says
I hate coyotes. We lost a cat to them about 5 years ago and I’m still not over it. This is also the worst time of year for coyotes. They breed in February through March and become more aggressive during that time. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do if their food source is something that lives near by, but you might want to call Texas Wildlife Services and see if there is something they can do to help you .
Mix and Match Mama says
They got my parents’ cat a few years ago, and they’re still not over it either. Awful!!
Elizabeth says
You summed up my thoughts on The Morning Show exactly! I couldn’t stop watching it but I never said “wow this show is amazing”.
Jennifer Goodwin says
I loved watching Cheer on Netflix! I actually went and followed some of them on Instagram after I finished the show, but have since unfollowed most all of them except Monica. And I want to be her best friend. I love her heart! As for other shows similar, I recently saw on Hulu that there is a documentary on ice skating. I saved it and put it on my list of things to watch, but I can’t remember the name of it–maybe ask the Google?
Hope that helps!
Akansha says
The Morning Show is great. It took me a while to get into it too, but when I did…I finished it in TWO DAYS! Jennifer Aniston is great. Totally recommend this!
Alex Ducedre says
It’s coyote mating season right now (Jan-March) so they become a bit more brave! That’s why you will see them a lot more! Hopefully they will won’t be bugging you guys for much longer!
Emily says
I’d describe the Morning Show as a series about the Matt Lauer scandal with some added drama.
Tanya M says
I am so with you on the morning show. It’s meh-could take it or leave it. Love love love all the actors in it. But just can’t get into it. Almost done the first season, but still not sure if I will go back to finish it. But then I feel guilt because I love everyone in it so I feel I should love the show.
So instead I binged Jack Ryan on prime.
(A little more action than I like, but still great and can’t wait for the new season)
Now watching Bosch on prime to tide me over. (and still haven’t been back to the morning show in weeks. Sorry Reese, Jennifer, Steve and all -it’s not you it’s me, I think, maybe -can’t decide ?)
Laura says
Did you watch Bates Motel? I can’t get past that my beloved Alex Romero is paired with someone on the Morning Show who is younger than both of his stepsons on Bates. It just gives me the skeeves and has turned me against the show. Which is too bad because I report for a living and was fascinated by the whole Today Show crisis. Jennifer Aniston also looks amazing in it.
Happy you and your family seem to be having a less eventful week!!
Sara Robinson says
Well, I think you need to get a puppy with a Red Sox name now – like Benny or Jackie! (Even though your Yankee Doodle is adorable). And I’m heartbroken over Mookie leaving!
Wendi Koehn says
Last Chance U and Cheer are directed by the same person. Last Chance U is 4 seasons and highlights 2 different football teams. It’s really good 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes!! I watched that with Andrew!!! A great series!
Janelle says
Anything eye level and below is prey for coyotes. My dog (yorkie) was killed by a coyote in 2012.
We have seen them recently at all hours of the day not just dusk and dawn, it is mating season. I live in city limits.
My dog doesn’t go out without us on leash and at night with a flashlight.
Your dogs are precious. Be safe!
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m so sorry for your loss! We have been using both!!! They need to GO AWAY!!
Jen L. says
I live in an area with coyotes as well and they will come out in the day time too, so be cautious at all times. Even small children can be at risk. A boy was attacked on the streets of Chicago recently. I had 4 come up behind me one night while I was walking my dogs. I thought they were going to surround us. And I have only watched two episodes of The Morning Show and I love it!
Kimberly Penson says
I almost stopped the Morning show for language but man, it is intriguing….. I agree it is literally dark all the time. I think from a filmmaker point of view it is genius and shows the span of the actors. But wow they all need Jesus.
MM says
I really liked the Morning Show but it took me a while to get used to 3 characters who are “normally” comedic actors in more serious roles. It’s hard to decide who to like!!!
Amy says
If you liked Cheer you will also like QB1. It follows 3 quarterbacks in the their senior high school seasons. There have been 3 seasons of it so far and some of the bigger names they have followed are Jake Fromm Justin Fields, Tate Martel, Sam Hartman and Spencer Rattler. It is interesting to see behind the scenes as well as their college recruitment. I wish they would follow a Texas High School as we all know Texas Football is huge. Even though my family is a baseball family we still found it really interesting, after all we are from Texas. Peter Berg is the producer so pretty much anything he touches is gold.
K.K. says
Maybe I’m the oddball, but I loved The Morning Show (AND I love Hallmark!). Language usually bothers me if it’s excessive, and I have to say, I didn’t notice it?? I don’t know… I liked that it made me think about how we think about success in America. It made me reflect and consider if I ever was complicit or allowed those in power to “bully”, “pull rank” – certainly not in the ways these characters did – but in other ways. I think that is an important conversation in Corporate (or other workplace types) America! Also, the shots of New York were stunning. The videography (and again, not something I usually notice) was breathtaking in my opinion. 🙂
It was also a binge while I was sick and stuck at home, so maybe any distraction was helpful! ha!
Best of luck with the Coyote War, Shay!! And looking forward to more and more g-free recipes. Hope you all keep healing up, and prayers are still being said for you and your family!
Leah Garry says
You would love Last Chance U. That is made by the same person as Cheer. It is a documentary about junior college football players – essentially being given their last shot. Similar format and also the players themselves are complex with tough backgrounds. A show you could watch with your husband. 4 seasons already. A 5th will be coming too!
Julia says
I thought the morning show was incredible – not only because of the amazing cast but because of the important issues it tackles. Obviously if you prefer to watch lighthearted stuff it’s not for you but it hugely focuses on gender issues in the workplace and the #metoo movement that took over the country for a while. Obviously it’s a TV show so the drama is increased a bit but I thought it was so well done and important. Can’t all be hallmark movies and fluff!
Mix and Match Mama says
I was surprised by the dynamic between Reese and Jen too. Just all so heavy…good, but not at all what I was expecting.
Leah Reinemund says
I know you and your family love pasta as do I…I am gluten free as well. Thought i would drop in and give you some good Pasta Brand…because honestly some gluten free pastas are NOT good 🙂
1. Jovial-Whole Foods or Central Market
2. Banza Pasta-Thrive Market/Target (highly suggest getting a thrive market account for g free snacks)
3. Trader Joes Gluten Free egg fettuccine (found in fridge section)
Amy Owens says
Those are my three favorite brands too!
Lisa says
Hi Shay! What size are you wearing in the A&F sherpa pullover? Thank you!!
Mix and Match Mama says
xsmall!
Kayla A Bruce says
I haven’t seen Cheer yet, but mostly because I got sucked into Next in Fashion, which I would recommend! Perhaps not quite as family friendly as Cheer.
Lois says
So excited to see your air fryer recipes! We got an air fryer a few weeks ago and I’ve been using it non-stop. Our favorites so far have been breaded shrimp and chicken wings!
Tyler says
I would love to know what Andrew makes for lunches in the air fryer! I’m always trying to think of things to put in my husbands lunch!
Carol says
Could you please share the brand of air fryer that you have. My son has developed a love for cooking told me he would like to have one. I have looked and looked at several , but with so many out there, I just don’t know which to purchase. Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes! I’m going to look it up now and make sure I link the right one!!
Carole says
I was wondering that too. Am interested but would love a recommendation!
Katelyn says
We loved our air fryer and sadly ours died last week after having it only for a year and a half. We were shocked! We were in the middle of using it for dinner it just turned off. We had the Nuwave. I hope you have better luck!
Aoife K says
LOVE Cheer!!! Have you seen the Taylor Swift documentary? My sister in law worked on that one 🙂 hope Andrew and Ashby are recovering well.
Marisa says
I am seriously going watch Cheer as you and Erika both recommended it now. I have The Morning Show recorded but have not yet had time to watch. I am super pumped that you are going to share air fryer recipes along with your g-free recipes!! I have had one for a while now and don’t really know what to do with it…HAHA! We also have a coyote issue, I live north of you in McKinney and my big dog (Great Pyr/Lab mix) is constantly going nuts barking at that back yard to make them leave and she is protective of our little guy (Jack Russell/Chihuahua) when they go out. We hear them at night howling which is kinda creepy but oddly relaxing????
Mary C says
I loved The Morning Show. To me it is an important show and conversation to have about the corporate world. Gender roles, what people put up with, and what people see but won’t discuss. It is real life. I never noticed the language, but then again, I never watch Hallmark movies. Jennifer Anniston was amazing and deserves all the awards. She is truly a comedic actor but she killed this dramatic role. I also love the way she is aging gracefully, she is as gorgeous as ever, but you can see she is obviously not as young as she was on Friends and I admire her for not getting a ton of cosmetic work.
Jennibell says
Can you tell us more about the air fryer? We have one (and after Andrew did his DITL post I made my chicken that way….but again, as a family of six, I still use the oven. Do you have 2 to make enough for everyone? I’ve found some great sweet potato fries but only make them on nights that there are only four of us. Help please!
Love the Morning Show. It makes me sympathetic to ppl who do live their lives in the spotlight and how difficult that must be. And showing the consequences of advancing your career and ignoring your family (Alex). I don’t like that it seems to parallel NBC’s trials so I try to make it its own story. Will have to check out Cheer. My daughter is a former competitive cheerleader so that looks intriguing.
Karen s. says
Air fryer favorite…..pork tenderloin! I use garlic salt and basil and spritz with a tiny bit of oil. I turn it over at about 10 minutes and then check it again around 10 minutes later. Pull it at 145 and let it rest. Bacon is good also among a million other things. We have coyotes also. Please know they will roam at any time day or night. If they have pups they will be extra vigilant looking for food.
marianne says
So scary about the coyotes! One got a friend’s small dog right outside her front door when she let it out to potty. Be careful!
Kat Stewart says
That camo sweatshirt is perfection, and I need Jerry in my life cheering me on through all the big and small moments.
Brinkley Brown says
I was feeling the same way throughout the first season of the Morning Show, but by the end, I was into it, and I think with the way it ends, you will be too, and ready for the next season, interested to see what you think when it’s over!
Elizabeth says
If you loved Cheer, you should definitely watch Last Chance U on Netflix. It was created by the same team of producers and has a very similar vibe centered around junior college football. So good!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I’ve watched it with Andrew!!! It is really good too!
Kendra says
Your pups are so cute! Always looking for a good bone for my baby, what type do you get for your crew??
Taylor says
You should watch Virgin River on Netflix! It has just enough drama to keep you interested.
Leslie S says
Is your air fryer big enough for your family, or do you cook in batches? What brand is your air fryer? So intrigued and almost ready to jump in – looking forward to your recipes!
Mix and Match Mama says
For sides, I can do it all at once. If I’m making chicken (larger things like that), I do two batches.
Jules Celi says
my family thinks i am crazy but i recently purchased this for my dogs due to the coyote situation at my house… looks ridiculous but gives me a little peace of mind
https://www.coyotevest.com/collections/all?page=1
Arika says
I would look forward to a post on your air fryer. I’ve been curious about them but have done no research at all. If you write a post, please include Andrew’s process for making his daily chicken! I hope your family is on the mend.
Melanie M. says
It’s not a documentary, but, have you watched Good Girls. We have really enjoyed it. Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix and Season 3 will be on TV starting Feb. 16th (I believe).
Jen says
My dog was killed by a coyote a few years ago. We live in the suburbs! But near a golf course. The most common advice we got afterwards was to have a human man urinate (!!) around the borders of your property. I swear, we got this advice over and over again. It was too late for us, but I don’t know if Andrew is up for it…. Ha! It may be an old wives’ tale but lots of people said it to us. For whatever it’s worth!!
Kim S. says
I started watching Cheer this weekend after Erika’s post on it. Soon my husband, sixteen year old and seven year old (both boys) joined me on the couch. We had to watch all of the episodes to see what happened!
Ellen Groenenboom says
I can’t wait to see what you’ve been making in the air fryer. We got one as a Christmas gift and with two toddlers at home and working outside the home, I’ve loved the ease of it but need more ideas on what to make!
Jeni says
I forget, does travel agency do travel to all inclusive resorts in Mexico? Getting ready to start planning so could use some help. Thanks! Also, would love air dryer recipes. I bought one and have hardly used it.
Mix and Match Mama says
We do! We’d love to help you, Jeni!
Kelly Sites says
Okay- some things:
I’m so scared for your dogs and the coyotes. Sounds like you are on it, but be so so so careful. I feel stressed about it. 🙂
I LOVED CHEER and binged it all. What can we watch next?
I HATED that Colleen Hoover book. Felt like I was reading a dumb teen book. Not a fan at all.
Jeanie says
Yankee is adorable! I can’t get over that little face. I would be so worried about the coyotes. Is there some agency that can trap them for you? Please do be careful.
Haley Hopkins says
You can check around for coyote trappers. They trap them and bring them somewhere else to be released. Might want to check and see if that’s an option
Star says
We live in a rural area and a coyote tried to lure our medium sized dog out of the yard. When a coyote comes in my yard and messes with my dog, all bets are off. My husband bought a gun that is recommended for killing coyotes. He is armed and ready to lessen the coyote population in our area. They are a problem.
Daniela says
I HATE coyotes! My sweet kitty was killed last week by a coyote. ?
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!!!!
Susan Jeffries says
I wish I lived closer so I could attend your Gala for Manda! What a blessing she was to all of you! Enjoy these days with your kiddos! Our daughter is a freshman in college this year, and I can attest to how quickly it all goes.
Joanne says
Oh yes please, bring on some air fryer recipes! I do like ours but rarely use it as I have a hard time making enough food at once to feed us all. mostly I just cook up my butternut squash fries, actual French fries, or my green beans in there.
Kelly says
Right now, I am watching The Stranger on Netflix. Not at all family friendly (the language is rough, as in R++++) and normally that would turn me off but the first episode hooked me in. I watch when nobody else is home because I don’t want any of my kids to walk in on that language. I think I’ll watch Cheer next to lighten things up a bit:).
Brenna says
Hi Shay!
This is completely random for this post but I’d love to hear how you book rooms when traveling. With 2 adults and 4 kids I am interested to see if you always book two rooms or if look for a suite that can accommodate all of you. Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
It depends on the location! It’s either some sort of apartment set up/two adjoining rooms or a suite.
Kacy M says
I LOVE CHEER. I literally cry every episode and stretched it out for the longest bc I didn’t want it to end haha. Also, Yankee’s face is just the cutest. My dad just got an air fryer this week and we’ve yet to use it…I think we’re all intimidated by it.
sally cavenaugh says
You breed is your puppy? Will it be little or big? I love my coton and totally bought one after seeing yours. Thanks. Sally
Mix and Match Mama says
Labradoodle! She’s a mini one, so bigger than my Cotons but not as big as a full sized one.
Jodi says
Hi!! Just wondering – what Apple Watch band are you wearing right now? Thanks! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Just a sports band in a grayish color. I bought it a few years ago from the Apple store.
Detroit Duchess says
There have been so many coyote sightings in our neighborhood (nothing like yours though!) but I am terrified they are going to get my dog one night. We are being extra careful about letting him out at night. At least with the snow on the ground you can notice a coyote quickly.
I LOVED The Morning Show! I like shows that subvert expectations. You go into it thinking one thing and let’s just say that I did not expect the ending. I also love that when Jennifer Aniston’s character makes that decision to announce Reese as her cohost – you think it’s brilliant in the moment but then you have to wonder if it was just a desperate move to gain control. I can’t wait until the next season!
