Happy Friday, friends!!!

Guys, IT’S OPENING DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

…I might not be at Fenway in person, but I will be there tonight in my heart.  I am SO THANKFUL FOR BASEBALL SEASON!!!  For me, it’s way more than a sport.  It’s a hobby.  It’s a passion.  It’s a special bond with my dad. It’s love.  We’ve waited a long time for you baseball!  I’m so thankful you’re back!!!!

Okay, who’s watching Alone on Netflix?

Ohhhhhhh!

Okay, we had several friends tell us to watch this as a family, and even though we’re only three episodes in…WE’RE HOOKED!

It’s like Survivor…but legit.

Like legit, legit.

It’s insane.

It’s crazy.

I cannot look away.

Right now, season six is on Netflix.  Can someone tell me how we watch the other five seasons?  (Each season is a new batch of contestants, so you don’t have to watch them in order.)

This show is about ten people being dropped in the middle of nowhere each with only ten items of their choosing to bring…and it’s the last one standing that wins the $500,000 prize.  Even Mades is into this show.  It’s so much fun!!!

Other friends have suggested the floor is lava show too for the fam.  Thoughts on that one?  It’s always nice to watch something all together!

Next up, we all knew this was coming…

Speaking of being “fine”…

…I was scrolling and found this pic here.  I took it at 5:07 PM on June 19th.  About three hours before the flood.  I wore this cute dress all during the flood and didn’t take it off until about 8:30 the next morning.  Sigh.  Sad story…adorable dress though, right?  I’ve worn it since and loved it even more the second time 😉 .

Remember this eye shadow palette from last week…

…isn’t it so pretty!!  I bought it before Christmas and have LOVED using all the neutral shades!  Well, per your request, I made a short video explaining (and demonstrating) how I use it…

On Tuesday, we chatted all things Peloton app, so I thought I’d share my workout faves with you one more time…

Pretty much my uniform: shorts, tank, sports bra, sneakers, air-pods and then this holds my phone while I run.

And then repeat the next day.

Ha!  Here I am the next day 🙂 . Same style of shorts but with this tank and then this oldie but goodie cropped sweatshirt (I was heading to the gym, so I like to wear one extra layer when I walk out the door).

    The Floor is Lava is a game show where teams of 3 try to get from one point to another without falling into the lava. It’s a cute show but I have to admit it got a little boring after awhile. I would definitely give it a try though! It’s mindless TV and it’s funny sometimes — we all could use a little bit of that right now! 🙂

    You can get the other SIX seasons (YES! A SEASON SEVEN!!!) on History Channel on demand! 🙂

      ALONE WARNING! Watch Season 1 before watching Season 2. We watched them out of order and found out who won Season 1 before we started it. Also, Season 5 is an All – Star season son watch 1-4 before that one.

    You should try a flipbelt or koala clip for your runs! I got a flip belt when I was marathon training but I loved it so much that I now use it for short runs, walks, walking the dog, etc!

      I second the flipbelt. I run and walk with it every day- does not slide up when running.

    We are watching Alone, too! You can watch them on demand from The History Channel. Our family also loved The Floor is Lava. It’s a fun show.

    Also obsessed with Alone. After some investigation: Season 1 & 2 on Amazon Prime, seasons 3,4,5 on Hulu, and season 6 on Netflix. Just started season 1 and am realizing the S6 contestants would’ve eaten the S1 people for breakfast. Haha!

    HAPPY FRIDAY, beautiful shay! i’m so excited to shop your list when i head to trader joe’s. a totally random question: you live in the HOT HOT HOT texas heat— which cannot even compare to the summers in the ann arbor, michigan, right?!?! how do you get your popsicles home still frozen? i have a method, my daughter has her method. so my question: what is YOUR method to keep frozen things frozen?

      I don’t have a method??? I just drive home and pop them in the freezer first thing! Our grocery store is about a minute from our house. Trader Joe’s is about 10 minutes!

    We started Alone with the season on Netflix too. We found season 1 and 2 on Amazon prime and are now on Season 3 which is on Hulu. We are FULLY invested!

    Also, I’m curious about the green JCrew top, the reviews complain about the arm holes being too big. Have you found a solution? What size did you go with?

    Considering getting an apple watch, but I’m technology challenged over here so wanted to ask. If you get the cell plan for the watch you don’t need to have your phone with you when you go out for a run or to the store, etc….right?

      Unless you’re using an app that isn’t on the Apple watch. To listen to the outdoor Peloton workouts, I need my phone.

    Can’t you do everything through the Apple Watch instead of bringing your phone? Music, podcasts, Audible?? Just a thought because the phone is so cumbersome ?

      To listen to the Peloton app. I can’t get the audio on my watch. So during my runs, my watch is tracking my distance/speed/etc and then I can hear the outdoor Peloton run too.

    For some reason this made me laugh. I can just picture you in that pretty dress moving furniture and emptying water.
    Also, I was just talking with my sister yesterday if anybody wears those headbands. She said nobody does and was throwing hers away.

    Our kids are OBSESSED with The Floor is Lava and my hubs and I love it, too. It’s perfect for the whole family! We blew through the entire first season in about a week and now we’re all going through withdrawals. It’s been picked up for a second season already!

    “Floor is Lava” is hosted by our good friend, Rutledge! The first episode is OK, but they get better as the sesaon goes on. A great show for the family. My kids are all older (21, 18 and 14) and they joined in yelling at the tv for the contestants to move one way or another. 🙂
    My husband and I (and our 18 and 21yo kids) also watch “90 day finace” (ALL OF THE SPINOFFS, TOO) and that is a complete and utter adult form of mindless entertainment…and it makes me feel pretty successful about my life and marriage! 🙂 Thanks for the fun posts during this nutty time.
