Twenty-two.


Friends, today our sweet Ashby is having her twenty-second surgery.

Twenty-two surgeries in a little less than five years is an overwhelming amount for anyone, but it’s particularly overwhelming for an eight year old little girl that knows there is no end in sight.  It has been a rough week.  I wish I could sugarcoat things and downplay the emotions that we are experiencing over here, but this week has been really hard for Ashby, so we covet your prayers now more than ever.  This surgery has been five years in the making, so even though we’ve been dreading it, we’re excited and relieved that it’s finally here.  I’m going to be taking the rest of the week off.

    Dear Lord please watch over Ashby today as she walks through the surgery guard her heart and her mind And erase the memories of the discomfort and the trauma as you heal her body completely in a way only that you can. Additionally watch over Shay and the rest of the family as they have to stand by and watch Doctors perform a surgery on their daughter that is very complicated but necessary. I know as a mom how difficult it is to watch our children suffer in any way so father will you please bring glory from this and put a deep faith inside Ashby and help build a beautiful testimony to encourage other people in the future that have to go to similar difficulties. It is developing character in her, but for now father just come by her side come by the Shull family and give them hope, love and encouragement. May her recovery be quick and her heart be comforted by the fact that you are a loving God that has your hand over this entire family. Heal up everything that’s happened in 2020 For this family and may It be for your glory. thank you for the sweet family father in your precious name amen. Ecc 3:11.
