Eeeeks! I’m giddy about today’s sponsored post with Sephora and ShopStyle Collective because it’s all about Sephora’s Spring Savings Event!!
The wait is finally over for this twice a year event, which means, I am one happy girl! Sephora has everything from makeup, skin care, hair care and fragrance products, and so many brands from Charlotte Tilbury, Olaplex, Drunk Elephant, and more. It truly is my happy place.
I buy so much from Sephora and use their products every single day that it almost makes it tough for me to break down my favorite things without creating the world’s longest post. So, today, I have all of my favorite SPRING products by category. I’m listing out all of my steps and products that I use to hopefully make it easier to find what you’re looking for. I’m all about light, hydrated and effortless when it comes to my Spring beauty routine. I don’t want heavy and fussy this time of year since I spend so much time outside with my kiddos.
Also, this is huge: Sephora Rouge Members, you have FIRST ACCESS to shop, with 20% off your favorite Sephora products when you use code OMGSPRING. Shop NOW before anyone else through 4/12! After that, you can still use your 20% discount as many times as you want from 4/9 – 4/19.

I thought the best place for me to start would be…
No makeup, no filter, no problem 🙂 .
I started really getting into skincare when I turned 30. It finally hit me that one of the reasons why my mom and grandmother look so fantastic isn’t because they wear a ton of makeup, they just really take care of their skin. Over the last 4 months, I’ve started incorporating three new things into my skincare routine that I really think has helped give me my glow…
So, the first thing that gives me my daily glow is my all-time favorite self-tanner for my face. The Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops simply cannot be beat and are always a part of my skincare routine. About every five nights, I add three drops into the palm of my hand along with my nighttime moisturizer, mix them together and then apply it all over my face and neck up into my hairline. I do this religiously year around. Start with this step at night because it does take about five or six hours for the tanner to develop. The next morning, you’ll wake up with a lovely glow.
The next step is…
…add a little C-Firma to your freshly washed face. About six months or so ago, I really started getting into Drunk Elephant products and asked you guys for recs. This serum was one of the most suggested, so I bought it and added it to my morning routine. I think it’s really helped remove some dark spots and brightened up my overall complexion. It’s so light and works perfectly under my daytime moisturizer and sunscreen. Thank you all so much for suggesting it!! If you’ll recall, it was…
…the A-Passioni Retinol Cream that got me interested in Drunk Elephant products.
After you apply your C-Firma Serum, the next step is…
…add a little undereye brightener. Hi, my name is Shay and a few months ago, I realized that I needed to get under my eyes “brighter” and not quite so dark. The first solution? Get more sleep. #nevergoingtohappen The second solution? Find an eye cream that is rated high for brightening underneath the eyes. I bought this Banana Bright Eye Creme and friends, I really think it’s working so well! #winning After I apply my eye cream and a daily moisturizer, I have been adding a second dose of moisture by using this…
…Glam Glow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer (in “nude glow“) as a primer. I first received a sample of this from Sephora and loved it so much that I went ahead and bought an entire jar. Not only does it give me a great little glow, it also smells just like a creamy orange popsicle, and that makes my heart happy too.
You’ll notice at the bottom of my hand, I applied the Glowstarter so you could see how it goes on, but on top of that, I have the same amount rubbed in. See? It’s just this nice subtle glow. I even have a video for you below so you can see this plus the Banana Bright Eye Creme better!
All that glow goes perfectly with…
…awwww! I just love makeup 🙂 .
You know that I love a video demonstration, so I rounded up these eight Sephora products…
…and shared how I apply them all for a quick “daily face” in this little video. I also include some of the skincare products in here too!
#1: Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick: My absolute favorite foundation!!! I’ve used this one exclusively for years! I just recently changed my shade to “light beige”.
#2: Becca Undereye Brightener: This stuff is pure gold. Years and years ago, a makeup artist applying my makeup told me to use it, and I’ve gone through jars and jars ever since. You can wear it alone or under your normal concealer. I wear “light to medium”
#3: tarte SEA Breezy Cream Bronzer: I’ve now purchased THREE of these! It’s the easiest way to get a little bronze into your makeup routine. I wear it in “seychelles“.
#4: Laura Mercier Caviar Stick: I wear this in “blossom” either by itself or under my eye makeup as a primer every single day!
#5: Black Eye Pencil: The one I’m using is no longer available, but any black pencil that doesn’t tug when you apply it is a keeper!
#6: tarte SEA Surfer Curl Mascara: My go-to mascara! It lengthens and darkens my lashes, doesn’t clump or flake off all day.
#7: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder: I have also been using this product for years! It’s great to use daily and “set” my undereye makeup or to use throughout the day to freshen up my makeup and remove any shine. I love that it’s compact enough to throw in my purse or travel bag too. It isn’t heavy or thick which is a must for me when applying powder. I wear it in “medium“.
#8: rms Lip2Cheek: Well, I’m now on my third jar of this as well! It’s both a blush and a lip stain. Once I put this on, the color lasts all day long. It comes in a wide variety of colors but “demure” is always my go-to!
Plus, I used a Beauty Blender and then of course, the Banana Bright Eye Cream, Glowstarter and Fresh Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm.
Well, friends, so many of you noticed this…
…when I shared our bathroom remodel back in February. I have been using a new shampoo and conditioner! Ha! (You ladies are so observant!)
Yes, back in October, I started using…
…Kerastase Densifique for my shampoo and then Kerastase Elixir Ultime for my conditioner. I am always on the hunt for a new shampoo and conditioner. I want one that cleanses my hair without stripping away the moisture, one that gives me shine and bounce, one that smells nice and one that hydrates. I mean, how hard can that be?! Ha! Well, it only took me 39 years, but after a reader email in the fall, I made the switch to Kerastase and haven’t looked back. We had been chatting about shampoos and conditioners on my blog when a reader emailed me and basically said “Stop wasting your time and money and just buy Kerastase.”. So, I did and love it! There are so many different varieties, but this combo here is my favorite!
So, here is a current look at which products I’m using on my hair…
#1: Kerastase Densifique for my shampoo
#2: Kerastase Elixir Ultime for my conditioner
#3: WOW Dream Cocktail: I like to put this in after I towel dry my hair and brush it out. It smells amazing! It’s just a nice leave-in treatment.
#4: Seashore Spritzer: Speaking of amazing scents, this is my favorite! I spritz this on my damp hair and then let it air dry.
#5: Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil: This is what I apply to my dry hair before I use heat (like a curling iron). It makes things super frizz-free!
#6: Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray: For YEARS, this has been the only hairspray I’ve used. Love. It.
There’s nothing better than fresh, clean hair! THIS is the curling iron I use as well!
Okay, really quickly, it wouldn’t be a Sephora post without mentioning…
My Fresh Sugar Hydrating Lip Balms. I do not even know how many of these I’ve gone through over the years? A million? They’re my very favorite, and I use them multiple times a day. They’re even great on cuticles too!!
And also…
…the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Once you use this as your daily moisturizer, I just don’t think you’ll ever go back to anything else. It smells like you’re on vacation, plus, it’s so super hydrating too!
And last but not least…
…my favorite scent for summer is Replica Beach Walk!! It just smells like you’re at the beach. I buy and gift all the time…
…the mini set too! It includes most of their signature scents including Beach Walk and By the Fireplace (one I LOVE for fall and winter!).
Whew! So much spring goodness!

Shay,
I have two brands that even trump the keratin. The davines love shampoo or any of the other ones on their website are the best!! Or the brand Ro+co has amazing products as well. The salon I go to here in Michigan only uses/recommends the best. You will love the products.
Lori says
Becca is going out of business sadly so stock up!
Mix and Match Mama says
Another reader mentioned that too. I really hate that because I love so many of their products!!
Mary Straus says
Forgot to tell you that bonus nordstrom carries both brands!!?
Tara says
Can’t wait to shop!!!

Yes bum bum cream is the best. I also like Glow Recipe’s Watermelon lip balm/gloss. Skincare is so important – you look beautiful! As an Asian, my mom had me started in high school which was annoying back then but now I have moms at the preschool I teach at ask me what I use bc I look so young haha. Have a great weekend!
Karen says
Hi Shay, Please tell me what color your cute Ugg slippers are. Can’t tell if they are pink or coral. Thank you so much!
Mix and Match Mama says
“strawberry sorbet” 🙂
Sharon says
This is just awesome! Thanks for the info! You NEED to try OUAI North Bondi Parfum, it is sooooo good! I think you will love it! So great for spring/summer!
Mix and Match Mama says
Ohhhhh! I’m so intrigued!!! What does it smell like? I’m looking it up now!!
Sharon says
It’s really a fresh, clean scent!
Leah B. says
Hi Shay! Years and years ago, on your recommendation, I started using the Clarisonic – and I love it. Sadly they went out of business in 2020. I’m down to my last new brush head and I’m so sad. Have you replaced yours and/or what do you recommend? Thanks !!
Mix and Match Mama says
I haven’t been using one. I was so devoted to it for years (Andrew still uses one daily!), but I’ve been relying more on scrubs and masks instead.
Sara says
Leah, same for me! And I was so disappointed! I now has the Vanity Planet Raedia cleansing brush—it’s in super sale! And it’s absolutely the same! Love it!
Cindy Hamill says
Shay!! I love the Becca eye brightener just like you. As a former Sephora Beauty Advisor, I can’t tell you how many guests I recommended it to! But- did you hear that the brand, Becca, is shutting its doors at the end of September?? I’d stock up just! (Becca is owned by Estée Lauder, so maybe they’ll transfer some of the successful products to that line or something like it).
Taylor says
This post was amazing! So much good info. The Brazilian bum bum cream is amazing. I first bought it during the shut down last March because the smell made me feel like I was somewhere warm and tropical and I haven’t looked back since! It’s worth every penny.
Jenina says
I bought some C-Firma a while back to try, but forgot about it until I read your post this morning. I just tried it out and was surprised to see it was brown (and a little sticky feeling). Is that how it is? Or is mine bad???
Mix and Match Mama says
First of all, my dad was so excited to see you at the park the other day 😉 !!! And second of all, mine is totally clear but slightly sticky. Mine is totally clear though!
Audrey says
I have been using the C-Firma for a couple of years and find that if the bottle is a little older (but still good) the color does tend to darken. I always still use it and find it performs the same.
julie says
Love this post! And can’t wait to try some new things, especially the shampoo. Have you see the NEW Bum Bum cream? It is by far my favorite, which probably means it’s a limited edition ;). I don’t remember the name, but it’s a RED container and it is heavenly. Definitely add that to your list. Enjoy the weekend!
Mix and Match Mama says
I saw it but was hesitant to buy it because I love the normal one so much. Maybe I need to try it?!
Sherry says
Just checking if anyone else mentioned they have trouble with clicking on the “comments” tab? Its not taking me straight to the comments. Just an FYI
Traci says
love all your beauty posts (well all of them! ) Do you wear a SPF on your daily? I can’t remember!!
Thank you! Cart is stocked!!
Mix and Match Mama says
yes!! Also from sephora!! It’s the supergoop Glowscreen!
traci says
Thank you!! Which step do you do your spf in?? Before or after moisturizer?
Mix and Match Mama says
I typically do it after moisturizer and before foundation!
Traci says
Thank you!!!
kimberlee nelson says
What is the color of the Fresh Sugar lip balm you use in your video? I love the color it gives!
Mix and Match Mama says
it’s the coconut scent and it’s clear! the lemon one is clear too!
Lindsey says
Hi Shay!! I’ve had my eye on the Isle of Paradise drops for a while now. Did you jump right into the medium shade, and if you did, did it feel too dark at first? I’m not sure if I should try light or medium!
Thanks so much!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I jumped right in! I always think if you want less, you can apply fewer drops (or if you want more, add more drops). Three drops is my sweet spot!
Lindsey says
Oh that’s such a great point. I hadn’t thought of that! Thank you for your reply 🙂
Cara says
Shay, do you ever rotate in a purple shampoo to keep your blonde bright and not brassy? If so, I’d love to get your recommendation.
Mix and Match Mama says
well funny you should ask, I bought the purple Kerastase just to do that! I do it about every four or five washes.
Kelly Franks says
Are you still using retin-a with the Drunk Elephant retinol?
Mix and Match Mama says
Nope, just the Drunk Elephant now!
Amanda @ That Inspired Chick says
You always smell so good so that Replica is being added to my cart! Going back through all the posts I’ve missed this week too and I LOVE how bright your bedroom is!! Those windows were a great call! Happy weekend, friend!

Love this post Shay, will be putting a few items in my basket!
What about sunscreen?
Mix and Match Mama says
I should have added that too! Supergoop glow screen! you’ll love it!
Heather Saloom says
what brush do you use with the hourglass foundation?
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s that beauty blender I have linked! i’ve used those for years and years and love them!
Lisa says
What happened to the Mac mascara you used to use? I can’t find it anymore! The Haute and Naughty one.
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s hit or miss! Sometimes, Nordstrom does have it, but I’ve started using Surfer Curl instead.
Lindsey Buckmaster says
Hi Shay! I always love any of your posts about skincare! ❤️ For the Drunk Elephant retinoids, can you share when you use it (step-wise)? And has their C-Firma become your vitamin C? Thanks for your help. xo
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes! I personally like to use my Retin-A AFTER I apply my nighttime moisturizer. My dermatologist told me this was okay. I find that I get a little red and/or a little more dry if I apply it before the moisturizer. As for my C serum, I like to add that one in the morning BEFORE I apply my daytime moisturizer (and then sunscreen last!).
