Happy Tuesday, friends!
As we make our way home from Charleston, Erika and I have a podcast episode for you to listen to…just in time for the holiday season!

For over ten years now, we have been hosting and attending a variety of festive holiday parties sure to put you in the mood for Christmas!
Today, we’re breaking down the logistics…from food, to invitations, who to invite, how much to spend, what day of the week to host, allergies, our thoughts on making a cocktail as your recipe, whether to host in homes, at restaurants, gifts…so much information in one post!

Don’t forget, you can also catch all the details and info on my annual RECIPE EXCHANGE in this post HERE too. If you are new to a community or just in a place where you really want to engage with more women but don’t know an easy/low pressure way to host, this episode is for you too. We hope you all listen!

You need to open a podcast app on your phone! From there, you will search The Bestie Breakdown and be able to listen to all of our episodes including this one!

Fun podcast! It would be fun if you could link to the products mentioned in the podcast. The wine thing sounds amazing but I have no clue what it is or where to even start looking.
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s linked in today’s show notes! Just the podcast platform where you listened and read about today’s episode. It’s there! The wine opener is the last thing linked!

Shay, would it be possible to print out pod casts since I have hearing issues? Thanks, Donna Hurd

Erika kept reiterating give good prizes. What kind of prizes do you give?
Mix and Match Mama says
Like a piece of Kendra Scott jewelry or a really nice Pottery Barn throw. Things like that!

Loved the episode! I am having a friendsgiving party this weekend and I am using your canned food drive competition idea! I would like to give out a prize to the couple that brings the most but I’m struggling with thinking of a good gift for either male or female. Have any suggestions?
Mix and Match Mama says
What about a nice gourmet popcorn tin for the holidays?

This looks so fun! Do you know where the stripe pj pants and gray sweatshirt on the girl standing next to you is from by chance? Wish all the pj’s were linked. ☺️
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t. This picture isn’t current either. Sorry!

Such a fun episode! One question – how do you handle kiddos and bedtime / party noise? I have a toddler and i want to host more but her early bedtime makes it trickier. How did you handle this when your kiddos were little? Thanks!!
Mix and Match Mama says
For these parties in particular, Andrew isn’t involved, so he’s hanging with the kids. I would say he either lets them stay up a bit late or he gets to be the parent that hangs in the hallway and says “I know you hear mommy’s friends, but go to bed”. 😉
