Happy happy Friday, friends!
We have covered A TON of ground this week!
First of all, it’s WALT DISNEY WORLD WEEK over at Mix and Match Travel Agency, so that’s just plain magical 🙂 . We have been celebrating the happiest place on Earth all week on our Instagram! If you would like more information on a Disney vacation, we would LOVE to help! Please reach out HERE for more information.
Also this week, ANDREW HAS SHARED WHAT HE EATS IN A WEEK, I’ve shared MY 22 KEYS FOR FINDING JOY (AND CONTENTMENT!) EVERY DAY, I’ve SHARED MY BIGGEST PET PEEVES, I’ve SHOWN YOU EVERY SINGLE THING INSIDE MY PURSE and I’ve shared SO MANY EASY RECIPES too!
We’re going to end this week with A BEAUTY SALE!!
I’m so excited because today begins Sephora’s Spring Savings Event!
With everything on sale, I decided this was the perfect time to share my spring beauty faves!
If you’re new around here, let me let you in on a secret, THIS SALE ONLY HAPPENS TWICE A YEAR! I buy so much from Sephora and use their products every single day that it almost makes it tough for me to break down my favorite things without creating the world’s longest post. I’m all about light, hydrated and effortless beauty products when it comes to spring and summer, so I’m breaking down all of my beauty categories for you and sharing the items that I personally buy, love and use.
Don’t forget: Sephora Rouge Members, you have FIRST ACCESS to shop, with 20% off your favorite Sephora products when you use code SAVENOW. You can shop NOW before anyone else through 4/24! After that, you can still use your 20% discount as many times as you want between today and the 24th.
VIB members get 15% off starting on 4/18 and all other Insiders get 10% off their purchase between 4/18 and 4/24. If you haven’t signed up for Sephora’s Beauty Insider program yet, make sure you sign up now to unlock 10% off your purchase during the Sephora Spring Savings Event starting on the 18th.
I always find that the easiest way for me to break down my faves is by category. I have mentioned all of these items numerous times in the past 🙂 . I’m not going to go into a ton of detail on every single thing, but I will call out some that are relatively new/need a bit of explaining.
Ready, set, here’s what I love:
#1: HOURGLASS VANISHING FOUNDATION (plus a *new to me* version):
I have raved and raved and raved about HOURGLASS VANISHING FOUNDATION STICK so many times. In fact, I bet I couldn’t count the number of times I’ve blogged about it. IT IS MY FAVORITE FOUNDATION! Well, I bought the AMBIENT SOFT GLOW FOUNDATION from them as well just to see what I thought, and the results were pretty amazing. Unlike the stick, this is a light liquid foundation with a subtle “glow”. I kid you not, EVERY SINGLE TIME I wear this foundation, Andrew comments that my skin looks good. It’s crazy. I don’t wear it all the time because I just truly love the stick so much, but when I do have it on, without fail, at some point during the day, he’ll say “your skin looks really good today”. If you’re looking for a lighter foundation, I love it! I wear the HOURGLASS VANISHING FOUNDATION STICK in Light Beige and the in AMBIENT SOFT GLOW FOUNDATION in Color 5.
Speaking of comparisons…
as you know, my FAVORITE BLUSH IS NARS ORGASAM, but about a month ago, I did buy this PILLOW TALK MATTE BEAUTY BLUSH WAND just to try something new and really like the texture!
Several of my favorite finds are already sold out, but if you can find any of them, they’re all gold!

I just love, love, love me some makeup to play around with. I bought the new energy Amazonian clay palette to keep on Nantucket but have been itching to start using it. The color combinations are just too pretty for words!
Here is my current go-to shampoo, conditioner and hair oil. You guys, this is the best smelling stuff you’ll ever put in your hair.
I swap out my shampoo/conditioner combo pretty regularly and was on the hunt for a new one that was hydrating yet not too heavy. This is it! It is just FABULOUS!!!! I love it! It goes really, really, really well with some of my favorite tools too like my hair dryer and curling iron.

If I had to name TWO TOP FAVES EVER from Sephora, these two would probably be named…
#2:
This SUPERGOOP GLOW SCREEN is a rockstar in my routine. I wear this EVERY SINGLE DAY under my makeup as my “primer” and my sunscreen. I love the texture, I love how light it goes on, I love how my makeup stays put all day, of most of all, I love how I don’t get sun damage on my face. You can also buy this in MATTE which is fantastic, but the GLOW is my fave.
That being said…
#1:
Of course 🙂 . Without a doubt. There is no other favorite. I’ve purchased so many bottles of Isle of Paradise I’ve lost count. If I were handing out beauty awards, this might take the cake as my FAVORITE BEAUTY PRODUCT EVER. I love it.
Here are the deets according to me:
1: I always buy the green bottle (medium shade). They have other shades, but I love the medium, so I’ve never bothered purchasing the other options.
2: I do not self-tan my body year around (more on that below), but I do use this year around as my face is always protected with SPF (I wear it every day!) and when I’m outdoors, a hat. So…that means that even though my body gets fairly tan during the summer, my face never does.
3: Here’s how I apply: at night, after I wash my face and add any serums, I take my nighttime moisturizer and place a little in the palm of my hand. Then, I add 3 good drops of this Isle of Paradise into my palm and rub the two products together. Then, I apply all over my face, neck, ears and even into my hairline a bit. Then, I wash my hands well and am done. The next morning, I wake up with the perfect amount of color. It’s not too dark nor too light. If you want a darker tan, add more drops.
4: How often do I do this? I do this about every five days. I just kind of look in the mirror and know when it’s time to do it again. If you’re using a lot of masks and scrubs, it won’t last as long, but for me, I can get it to last about five days.
5: How often do I have to buy a new bottle? I would say that one bottle lasts six months.
I cannot rave about this product enough! IT IS AMAZING!
I also wanted to share this with you as well…
…you all know how much I love Banana Bright Eye Cream. It’s my go to eye cream now for two years. I truly noticed a difference in my undereye darkness within two weeks. This is hydrating too, so my concealer doesn’t flake during the day. Well guess what I bought a few weeks ago…
…it now comes in a STICK!!
Here’s what I think about the difference: I think the cream is for every day, long-term use to significantly reduce dark spots, and the stick is to make under your eyes look brighter and more awake TODAY. I’m not sure that’s scientific, but that’s been my experience. I don’t use the stick every single day, but I do use it multiple times a week over my eye cream for an extra, instant pick me up.
What’s the item I’ve purchased THE MOST FROM SEPHORA over the years…
…without a doubt! I mean, perhaps I’ve bought it 40 times over the last 10 years? I love this stuff. I put it on my lips, my cuticles…it is a staple for me.
Here are a few other things as well that I love for skin care…
Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm
Tropical Cocount Melt • Kopari
C-Firma Fresh Vitamin-C Day Serum • Drunk Elephant
St. Barts Gentle Body Wash • Ouai
Banana Bright+ Vitamin CC Eye Sticks • Ole Henriksen
Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C • LaNeige
Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 PA+++ with Hyaluronic Acid + Niacinamide • Supergoop!
A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream • Drunk Elephant
Brazilian Bum Bum Body Cream • Sol De Janeiro
Banana Bright+ Vitamin C Eye Crème • Ole Henriksen
St. Barts Moisturizing Body Cream • Ouai
I gushed about…
Tropical Cocount Melt • Kopari just about a month ago. If you want to smell like you’re on vacation AND be totally hydrated, this is it!
Just take a look inside my medicine cabinet…
…I clearly LOVE REPLICA PERFUMES!!!! It is my favorite collection of scents for all seasons. I LOVE THEM!!
The four large bottles I own are BEACH WALK and SAILING DAY (perfect for spring and summer!) and then BY THE FIREPLACE and COFFEE BREAK (perfect for fall and winter!).
Here is my suggestion right now, if you want to sample them all, you need to buy…
…the MEMORY BOX with travel-sized versions of all of their scents. This is how I got hooked on this brand. I started with this box.
Right now, you can also…
…buy this limited edition DUO SET of my two favorite Replica fragrances. This is a huge savings!!
Now, don’t forget…
I am adding to my own cart right now and stocking up for summer 🙂 .
That’s it for this Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful weekend! I’ll see you back here on Monday!!! xx

Ooh!! Girl, I’m off to get set for the summer! I’m so glad you mentioned that Kopari melt. I need more and completely forgot about it!
Beth Knecht says
Shay, do you go to your local Sephora for color matching? I want to try new makeup but never seem to get the right shade!
Mix and Match Mama says
Often! For things like blush and bronzer, no, but I will go in for concealer and foundation however, if you color match online (by clicking through to their online color match), I’ve had great success!
Sheaffer says
Can’t wait to try the Kopari coconut melt! Adding to cart right now!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
You will smell like Hawaii. It’s amazing!
Katie Compton says
You got me hooked on the Glow Screen years ago! I find myself wearing it as my makeup most of the summer. Your links don’t seem to be working… just taking me back to the blog. Thanks, Shay!
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s so weird, Katie. I just checked and they all seem to be working now. I’m so happy you love the Glow Screen too!

Off topic 🙂 a few weeks ago you posted about a new sports watching chair that ROCKS. We need to replace old ones for our RV. Does Andrew use the same type? Like Andrew, my husband is 6’5″ but with a long torso he sits like 6’7″ and is annoyed at where the top of the chair hits in the back (his pet peeve). Like tall sized shirts, I need to locate a chair with and extra tall back. Just curious if Andrew has another that he likes. We have searched and most only have a 22″ chair back height.

Let me ask!

Hi! Do you notice if the tanning drops enhance any brown spots or discolorations hen you use them on your face? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
Not one bit!
Molly says
When do you use the Banana Bright Eye cream and when the Colleen Rothchild eye creams? I’ve loved each but don’t know how to use them consecutively!
Mix and Match Mama says
I use the Banana Bright during the day and the CR at night.
Danielle RIgg says
Have you ever tried the makeup brand Thrive Cosmetics? I am seeing them all over my instagram and wanted an honest review if you have.
Thanks
Mix and Match Mama says
I have. I haven’t found anything that I just *love* (yet!), but I have tried it and am open to trying other products as well!
