Happy Saturday from LONDON!
You guys, on Thursday evening, my family of six hopped on a plane and hopped over the pond to spend our fall break in one of our favorite cities in the world.
The last time we were here as a family, this is what we looked like…
…it was July 2015 and at that time, we were only a family of five
We arrived yesterday morning, checked in, showered and hit the ground running. Here’s a little peak at what we’ve been up to so far…
We, of course, stopped at Harrods for a few fun snacks and treats. This cutie selected macarons 🙂 .
For lunch though yesterday…
…Andrew ad I were in our HAPPY PLACE with the pub food! The whole family was super hungry, and we devoured our first British meal of the trip. We had lunch at The Globe which had a nice selection of g-free options for Miss K. These two plates here are what Andrew and I ordered and shared. Give me alllllllll the pub food, please!
Thanks to a blog reader notifying me, this week, I started the new series on Prime The Flatshare which is perfect timing because it takes place in London!
Do you guys remember this…
…I read the book in January 2020 and LOVED IT! I’m already so invested in the series now too. If you haven’t read the book, you should totally do that first and then watch the series.
Honestly? I’m already SO EXCITED about all of the family time. Just sitting in a cab with my five peeps while everyone is chattering about, pointing and talking all over each other…THESE ARE THE MOMENTS I LIVE FOR. You guys, I love being a mom, and I LOVE being with just my little family of six. I love when they’re all mine, and I don’t have to share any of them with anyone else 🙂
So many great fall items are on sale this weekend!
Here are some of my favorite picks…
You can catch all of these FALL TOPS FOR 30% OFF!
Or if you’re needing a dress, catch FALL DRESSES FOR 30% OFF too!
Both pair perfectly with FALL SHOES 30% OFF too!
I’m pretty sure half of them have their eyes closed in this pic, but you guys…WE’RE IN LONDON! We love London, we love traveling, and we love working with our clients’ families too! If you’re thinkin’ you might need to take your family across the pond, reach out to our travel agency today! We would LOVE to be a part of your vacation too!
We have been celebrating the month of October at our house with pumpkin pancakes in our mini pumpkin waffle iron!
Twice this week, we’ve made regular pancakes with chocolate chips…
…for a festive way to kick off our day.
Okay, that wraps up our Saturday post! My family is off to enjoy our weekend in London. You can keep up with us on Instagram this weekend, and then, I’ll be back here in blog world with a new post on Monday! Have a great weekend, friends! xx

I love London too. Have the best time with your family!

Oh Shay, enjoy this precious fleeting time when you can all be together with just the six of you! We adore our son’s fiancee, but there are times when I want it to be just me, my husband, and our two kids, but I know that’s not likely to happen again. Thank goodness we love her, especially our daughter who is VERY particular about who she allows into her life. Have a fabulous time in London. We all loved it and would love to go back, so I will so enjoy the glimpses you share with us!

Thank you, thank you! I am trying so hard to soak it all in. I’m really trying hard to just sit in it. xx

This is a very random comment but while in the UK I LOVE the mushy peas!! Why are they not popular in the US? Soooooo good!

A conversation that Andrew and I have at every single meal.

We were watching the Arsenal-Man City game this morning and wondered if you all were able to add the soccer game to your agenda this trip!
Mix and Match Mama says
We would have in a heartbeat, but only three of us wanted to go and the other three weren’t interested. Andrew and I sure loved it last year though!
Camille Reerslev says
when traveling does the rest of the family eat gluten free? or just K?
Mix and Match Mama says
When we’re at restaurants, typically, Andrew and I don’t eat a lot of gluten so she’s not the only one, but we don’t have a hard rule about it. For example, we’ve been eating fish and chips and beef pies for lunch but last night, my entire meal was g-free (burrata, beef with potatoes), so it varies. If it bothered her at all, we wouldn’t, but she doesn’t care.
Tasha says
Hi Shay, was your trip affected at all by the pro-Palestine protests in London? In watching the news coverage of everything happening they showed that there were protests in London.
Mix and Match Mama says
I’ve seen that on BBC myself over here, but no, we never saw it nor were affected by it.
Kacey says
I love London!! I’ve always said if all of my family would move, I could see myself living there in a heartbeat. Also, pumpkin pancakes, yes please! I still make your whole wheat pumpkin pancakes from probably 10 years ago. It’s my go-to recipe. So simple and delicious!

Where do you stay to accommodate a large family? We are a family of 5 thinking about going this summer. I typically like hotels/resorts but wondering if Airbnb is a better option for us there!
Mix and Match Mama says
