We are officially in BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON!
Two kiddos started on Thursday and another one starts tomorrow (and then one next week!).
Ready or not, we are here!
I am never more focused on meal planning than Back to School time. I’m organized, scheduled, prepared, and enthusiastic to get in the kitchen and whip up my family’s favorite weeknight recipes. (Check back with me in May when I am the least focused 😉 ).
As always, I’m kicking off BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK with a special edition of our MEAL PLANNING MONDAY. We typically eat the same favorite meals the first week of school. They’re all simple to make and remind the Shull family of the start of a new school year. I really think your family will love this menu too!
From my home to yours, here’s wishing you a wonderful back to school season!!
It wouldn’t be back to school week without Andrea’s Pulled Pork!
I know I share this Simple Sausage, Peppers & Onions recipe all the time, but my kids LOVE it!! I have started doubling the recipe because my people eat so much. Try it this week too!
My Easy Weeknight Wiener Schnitzel is one of my kids very, very, very favorite dinners!! It’s the perfect meal for back to school week!

Every year on the first day of school, we eat lasagna, and this year will be the same! Whether your family needs a gf version like THIS ONE or not, all you have to do is simply substitute the noodles. Easy as that!

Finally, wrap up your week with my Sloppy Joe Bowls! They’re one of my family’s favorite meals to kick off the school year!
Need a bonus recipe or two?!
We always make my Maple Sausage Balls on the first day of school for breakfast!! Friends, they’re so good! They can also be made in advance too!
And the first week of school wouldn’t be complete without peanut butter cookies. These four ingredient, super simple Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies need to be on your menu!
Happy Back to School season, friends!! xx

When you make bowls or pasta do you and Andrew eat the rice and pasta too? I know you both are protein focused!

For sure we’ll add a little rice to our bowls. Even if we’re focused on protein, we still need carbs in our diets, so we will totally add some.

I always make your maple sausage balls for the back to school season and store in the freezer. It’s a sign of fall for me! 🍂

I just made another batch yesterday! My kids heated them up and had them for breakfast today. They’re so good!
