Happy Labor Day, friends!

It’s SEPTEMBER!!!

I absolutely LOVE September.

I know you guys know this, but September 1st is my favorite day of the year and around here, it’s always a reason to celebrate.

Per our annual tradition, today is my SHAY’S FAVORITE DAY GIVEAWAY!

This year, I rounded up some of my favorite fall finds to hopefully get you in the spirit too…

…one lucky winner will be receiving all of these fun fall goodies: ALL-CLAD SLOW COOKER, IPHONE CASE, FALL POPSOCKET, HALLOWEEN SWIG 22oz TUMBLER, HALLOWEEN SLIPPERS, BAREFOOT DREAMS THROW, and PUMPKIN WAFFLE IRON.

If that bunch of goodies doesn’t put you in a fall mood, I don’t know what will?!

Here are the deets:

You must enter the Rafflecopter at the bottom of this post in order to be eligible to win (the Rafflecopter will randomly select the name).  There is only ONE requirement on the Rafflecopter and that’s “BE A POSITIVE PART OF THE MIX AND MATCH MAMA COMMUNITY IN SEPTEMBER”.

    I support your enthusiasm. But, the first day of Autumn is September 22nd. I won’t decorate my home for fall until then. Elin Hilderbrand laments on insta that September is still summer and I agree with her 😊

      It still feels like summer even in northwest Wisconsin, but I pretend that September 1st is fall. At least the acorns are dropping from our oak trees so that’s something. And it’s the start of the “ber months”!

    I’m so glad you still blogged today! Our kids’ first day of school was today and I thought of how much you love September 1st. I guess you should move to Paris. 🙂 It is GORGEOUS outside right now and the perfect day for back to school. The leaves are even beginning to fall. What a gift! We’re going to have to curl up and watch one of those movies tonight.

    🎶 It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Fall will look a little different this year, with my girl and fellow fall lover away at college.       lol I believed this comment was correct…my thought was YES the BED months where it gets dark so early that all you want to do is go to BED early hahaha! I was with you then saw your correction! Summer is my thing, but I am trying to fall for the cues and get in the mood, it’s 69 degrees here and cloudy so have a cinnamon candle burning, sitting outside, drinking hazelnut cold brew: )

    Maybe it is because here in NYC we know winter can be long and dismal but, we just let fall happen and don’t rush it. September is late summer and exciting for all sorts of reason but but definitely not the season for fleece and cozy weather activities.

      Yes, I agree! As someone who lives in Southwestern Ontario, we don’t rush fall here. We need that extra month of sunshine and warmth to get us through until March=April when winter finally departs!

    Teacher here. I begin teaching in 1971 and at 72 I am still going strong, thanks in a big part to your blog. I now walk almost every day with a weighted vest, lost 47 lbs, box 5 days a week and do a body combat class on Sunday. Colleen Rothschilds has been a game changer in my skin care tho on a teacher’s salary supporting my family of 5, I can’t afford to try most o their products.I do highly recommend their more affordable hydrating face mask, age serum, eye cream, and black toulamaine face primer. I’m hoping you’ll do a give away just to honor teachers. Those of us who take care of your kiddies every day for not great pay and can’t afford to retire .I still love it and look forward to meeting all my new 6th & 8th graders tomorrow.

      Happy anniversary! Mine is in September too. 43 years! We usually go on a Fall trip in mid-Sept,, this year we vacationed a bit earlier and are currently enjoying visiting the coast and soaking up scenery in the Pacific Northwest.

      I’m praying for you Tanya! I too have a birthday this month and had a double mastectomy on April 9th of this year. It is scary to go through. I just keep telling myself “I can do hard things”. Now that I’m 5 months post DM and 2 months post reconstruction surgery, I’m healing great and getting my life back.

    Hi Shay…..Thanks again for a generous and lovely giveaway. I spent today putting all my fall decorations out. It looks so festive. I had my favorite George Winston playing the songs from his Autumn music. I dont know if you have ever listened to home but his albums are all him playing piano. His Autumn album somehow captures every essence of fall. One of his songs you can almost see a fallen leaven dancing across the road as it is being gently blown by the fall winds. I bet you were decorating for fall as well.

    I’m not ready for summer to be over (and it technically isn’t) but I’m enjoying the nice weather and windows open. I live near a beach/ocean (not in the beach town, just close) and this is what we call locals summer – we get to enjoy our nice beaches without all the craziness of summer!

    Shay,
    I had to come back to this one from today 9/2… I thought your were taking Labor Day off!!! Our September starting out beautiful. We had 2 bonfires and of course s’mores (I guess technically the end of August). Last night we were supposed to have a great Northern Lights show… que sad music….not for us, but to the North. We saw a little pink ….hoping we will get more this fall before all the clouds roll in. Today 9/2 it’s about 80 by the end of the week 60s for the highs!!!
    You have birthday in the family this month too!!! Yippee!!! We do as well!!!
