Good morning and Happy Thursday from Nantucket!
I traveled here yesterday to get our house ready for Christmas, run errands and such, and then my family is headed here today because we have big plans to STROLL this weekend 🙂 .
I am oh so very very excited.
BUT…nothing compares to how excited I am about…
…our Fifth Annual ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL® Fundraiser!
Yesterday, we kicked off our fundraiser and by the time I went to bed, we had already raised over $30,000!
HOLY COW!
If you didn’t donate yesterday, you still have time as it ends today at 8:00 PM CST. You can donate HERE THROUGH OUR LINK to be eligible to win…

…a Gucci Giglio Small Tote Bag.
One lucky winner’s name will be randomly selected tonight and posted here on my blog tomorrow.
We still have time today to raise more money for St. Jude and help these incredible families as they go through difficult times.
Check out more info and alllllll the deets on YESTERDAY’S blog post. We only need you to donate $10 each to make a HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Ladies, if only 1,500 of you this morning would donate $10, we would have it raised! That’s so easy! I know we can do it!
Okay, in other news today, this post is a whole hodgepodge of Thursday Things 🙂 .
Let’s start with…

…a reminder to STEP INTO THE HOLIDAYS with me!
For those of you walking every day with me, how’s it going? We had a cold snap this week in Dallas, so my walks included lots of layers and Uggs, but I ALWAYS feel better after I get my steps in.
Next up…

…for the third year in a row, I have LOVED reading through the Bible with you! I’m happily going to bring it back for 2026 too!
If you joined me for the MMM Bible Recap Group this year, I certainly hope you stay with us next year too. If you’re new or have never read through the Bible before, WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU!! You can read all about the group HERE and see the details on what you’ll need to start/how it works.
If you are planning on doing it with us, now would be the time to purchase any of the materials should you wish (but they’re not necessary, see more details HERE). For instance, I’ve already purchased a new Study Guide (optional) for 2026. Just a heads up for any of you who want to join!
If you have ANY questions, please let me know!
Just a reminder that…

…my “dupe” SHERPA JACKET feels and looks so similar to the original that it’s hard for me to tell them a part. I have the “dupe” in several different colors. They always wash and dry well, keep me warm, and look cute. This would be an excellent holiday gift!
Speaking of sherpa jackets, I’m so mad at myself because I bought THIS ONE in red for high school football games and Christmas and actually wore it to the airport and on the plane to Disney but forgot to take a pic. When I get home, I’ll take one. It’s crazy soft!
And one more festive find…

…I couldn’t’ help myself…

…THESE SOCKS just make me so happy. Bahahaha!

If you are wanting to host a RECIPE EXCHANGE this year too, I am sharing my tried and true tips and tricks today HERE. I will be hosting my annual recipe exchange next week, and friends, it’s always one of my favorite nights of the year.
You can host this party any time of the year (not just during the holiday season), and it’s such a fun gathering especially for ladies. Check out THIS POST for more info.
Today on Stories, I’m going to do a little “day in the life” on Nantucket. I have no idea what I’m going to be doing/posting…so we’ll all be surprised by my day 😉 . Follow along!

Don’t forget, between now and 8:00 PM CST tonight, let’s raise EVEN MORE MONEY FOR ST. JUDE!
Happy Thursday! I’ll see you back here tomorrow. xx

You inspired me to do the Bible Recap this year for the first time. It has been life-changing and I am so thankful for you blogging about it faithfully so I had several opportunities to learn about it. I cannot wait to do it next year all over again. It has been such a fruitful year of faith in my life due to the explanations and structure offered in this plan. I will forever be grateful to Tara-Leigh and her team for creating this and to you for inspiring me to do it!
Mix and Match Mama says
THIS. THIS. THIS! Wow! Sarah, I am so happy you shared this! It’s been absolutely one of the BEST thing I’ve done for myself. I have learned more about Jesus these last few years doing the Bible Recap than all of my other years combined. I am so happy you joined us this year. Thank YOU for sharing!
Leslie Wilcox says
Have fun today and have a great holiday weekend Strolling.
Tish says
Shay, I’m so glad you shared St Jude again today bc I missed your blog yesterday. Thank you!! On the Bible Recap, are you changing anything for 2026? Still reading the passage, listen to podcast, then fill out Study Guide? So excited to see your day in Nantucket!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank YOU for donating! I am not changing anything with my Bible Recap next year. I am still going to read (out of my Bible), work through that day in the Bible Recap Study Guide and then listen to the podcast. I hope you join in 2026!
Ashley | Make Life Marvelous says
I tried and failed reading the Bible Recap this year, I think it would be so fun to do this group starting Jan 1st! I was just curious which new study guide you got for next year? Thanks so much, Shay!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yay! We would love to have you do it with us! It’s not “new” (as in a new product), but it’s a “new to me one” since I have just about completed the current one. Make sense? I enjoy the study guide so much that I buy a new one every year and start over.
Ashley | Make Life Marvelous says
That makes perfect sense, thank you so much! I only have the regular book so I need to check out the study guide. Have the best day, Shay!
Lauren Palmer says

Thanks for doing the St. Jude fundraiser each year, it is such an amazing organization. What are the “can’t miss” shops on Nantucket for Stroll? I will be there on Sunday and can’t wait!
Mix and Match Mama says
You will have no problems finding the shops. Head up Main Street and you will see them all right there. Have so much fun!

I so Thankful for doing this donation each year for St. Judes. This is something that I am blessed to be able to donate to throughout the year several times. Also during the Valentine’s time, you can also send these precious kids cards.
Looking forward to hearing about the stroll. Enjoy!
Mix and Match Mama says
thank YOU for supporting St. Jude!
Ginny Nanney says
Thank you so much for supporting St. Jude! We are very fortunate to have this hospital in our backyard. It is such a blessing that no family has to pay for their child’s treatment. This weekend is also St. Jude Marathon weekend in Memphis and it is also such a special event as runners run past the hospital every year.
Yvonne says
Shay, I love the Bible recap! Thank you so much for suggesting it, I loved reading through the compete bible! Also yes I have been keeping up my walking, I love to walk, it always clears my head and helps keep stress away! Really hopeful we meet the St. Jude goal!! Thank you for all the sunshine you bring to us! Have the best time in Nantucket!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yvonne! YOU WON!!!!!!! We are so blessed that YOU donated to St. Jude!!! Congratulations!!
Debbie Hibbert says
I know this is late in the day … but I just went to Amazon to order my Bible Recap Study Guide to use for 2026 (my first time including the Study Guide), and it’s 44% OFF, making it just over $12!! Hopefully several can get in on this bargain.
Mix and Match Mama says
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for sharing!!! That’s wonderful news, Debbie!
Jeanne says
Yesterday was too hectic to read your blog post so I was happy to see that I was still able to donate to St Jude today!
And 2026 is the year I’m going to start The Bible Recap.
Thank you for the happiness and encouragement you send our way each day!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank YOU for donating, and we would LOVE to have you join us in 2026!!!
Katie says
Still walking, thanks to YOUR positive encouragement! 🙂
Katie says
Such a random question- when you travel with your Bible recap study book & Bible do you have a certain bag you but those 2 things in? Or do you just throw your Bible and study materials straight into a suitcase? Thanks! Traveling with mine and hoping to not get either ruined.
Mix and Match Mama says
Great question! I put everything (Bible, Recap, any pens or smaller books) into a small packing cube and then carefully put them in my suitcase (with heavier items weighting them down so they don’t get crushed).
