Andrew came home yesterday from his annual snowboarding trip with his buddies, and I am READY for the weekend!
First stop…the McKinney Boyd Cheer Banquet tonight!
I’m not sure how we went from…
…having a freshman cheerleader at the banquet to now having a JUNIOR!
Who is going to be holding me this time next year when I’m going to her S-E-N-I-O-R cheer banquet? Seriously, we’re going to have to send out a Signup Genius or something for you guys to take turns consoling me.
Those little babies don’t keep, y’all.

Well Valentine’s weekend was CERTAINLY a favorite around here!
On Friday, I kicked off the weekend with lunch on the square with Andrew, Ashby, and Mades…
…our favorite diner, Spoons, was all decked out. The weather was gorgeous, so we sat on the patio. Right before lunch…
…these two girls got fresh haircuts which always puts a pep in our step.
On Valentine’s Day night, it was POURING rain, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. Kensington was gone all weekend volunteering at a camp, and Smith had dinner plans, so the four of us…
…played cards at The Yard…
…please note, I only photograph hands I win 😉 . We played cards…
…and watched the Olympics while we waited on our table at Cadillac Pizza Pub.
The rain stopped and we snapped a pic. Goodness, I love this guy.

This week, we have had warm, sunny days, and we have also had…
…RAIN! I pulled out THE BEST RAIN JACKET for the weather. This is the packable jacket I wore every.single.day in Northern Ireland. You’ve heard me talk about it a million times. It’s just a really, really good jacket for any rainy occasion. It comes in other colors too!

Speaking of the weather, I was in meetings with my team all day Tuesday and Wednesday, and the weather was glorious outside.

…THIS ONE 🙂 . I love a jumpsuit because you’re “put together” while being so comfortable! This one has pockets, a cinched drawstring, and it felt like I was wearing my pjs all day.

…the ROMPER VERSION too 🙂 . I put it on just so you could see. Love. It will be great on really hot days and could double as a coverup too.

What a fun Valentine’s weekend! (Also, I am definitely reading into the phrase- Smith had dinner plans…um like how is he that old!) I have been reading your blog since 2013, and it has been proof to the phrase, time flies. How do you have an almost senior?! Definitely hugging my crew of four, four and under extra tight today and trying not to blink. Praying for you as you navigate this stage!

That picture of Andrew and Mades is so cute and also made me laugh because you mentioned a long time ago that she was convinced they look alike, and I haven’t been able to unsee it since. She’s made a believer out of me!😂

SHE SAYS IT ALL THE TIME. She is 11.5 and fully understands that they genetically are not related, but she says it ALL.THE.TIME. She looks just like her dad 🙂 .

I am not genetically related to my dad either but people say we look like each other all the time. I think we really do pick up traits and mannerisms from other people we spend a lot of time with. So I embrace looking like my dad and Madely should absolutely embrace looking like hers 🙂

Those babies definitely do not keep! Senior year is an emotional roller coaster! Enjoy and soak it in! However, it is so cool to see those babies turning into amazing young adults ❤️

Those jumpsuits are so cute! I have a couple of rompers but I think I have decided I prefer matching top and bottom sets for the ease of bathroom breaks! If you come across any of those you love (especially short sets) please share them. Have a great weekend!

The family photos of the girls with you and Andrew of simply adorable. I am the ” photo taker” in my family and love that I have started taking photos of all kinds of memories like you do. I would have loved a “photo type phone” when my kids were little. Now I have slowly been working on putting ALL THE REAL-LIFE photographs onto discs for my kids instead of giving them the million photographs I have of each of them.

What a fun Valentine’s weekend! Enjoy the banquet!!! Be that mom that takes lots of photos. I was that mom, cousin, neighbor and friend. Guess how many come to me… uh do you have a picture of this or that??? Why yes I do!!! LOL!!!
If you have apple TV… we watched Eternity over the weekend… It is cute… but definitely makes you think about what happens after you reach heaven. It is a comedy with the Elizabeth Olsen from the Marvel movies and Miles Teller.

A favorite for me this week is How to Get to Heaven from Belfast on Netflix. It’s by the creator of Derry Girls. You introduced me to Derry Girls and I have watched each episode two or three times. Love that show! This new show is darker, but has humor mixed in.
