Happy Monday, friends!
I don’t know about you, but we thoroughly enjoyed our first MAY weekend.
Here’s a little WEEKEND LATELY…
…three of the kiddos didn’t have school on Friday. Smith and Ashby’s district had it as a day off and Mades doesn’t go on Fridays, besides Kensington (who had to be at school by 6:15), the rest of us had a lazy Friday morning. Charlie and I took a big long walk after I lifted weights for our #walkeverydayinmay. It was chilly outside for May 1st.
After our walk, Smith had a skin check appointment at the dermatologist and Ashby had an eye doctor appointment. While I was shuffling between those two…
…these two headed to the square to enjoy lunch on the patio 🙂 .
Big Fella and Mades sure love spending time together. It makes my heart super happy.
On Friday night, we headed to Dallas to celebrate…
…this girl turning 40! Oh my word, we had the BEST BEST TIME! It was one of those occasions where there were just too many people you wanted to talk to, too many people you wanted to hug…it was honestly just so much fun that when it was all said and done with, my family spent the rest of the weekend talking about it. We were all on a “wonderful party” high. I cannot think of a better way to celebrate Catherine. It was perfect.

My brother gave a really sweet speech about Catherine…
…but then Catherine’s speech was absolutely precious. It was perfect.

…and I do too!

On Saturday morning…
…it was gorgeous outside. After a week of wonky weather, it was a delightful way to kick off the weekend.
I went for a run and then walked Charlie. I DID NOT want to go inside…
…it was absolutely spectacular outside…
My backyard is looking oh so pretty!
I pulled some weeds…
…I enjoyed coffee and two magazines by the pool. It was glorious.
I spent my Saturday afternoon washing sheets, did a little baking, and Andrew had heated the pool, so I even put my swimsuit on for a bit.
For dinner…
…we kept the outside fun going by visiting The Yard in downtown McKinney. The weather had been fickle all week, but it shined on Saturday.
Sunday morning, I went to the gym and walked the dogs before…
…church!
We spent Sunday afternoon in the pool and had tacos for dinner.
And that was a little Weekend Lately 🙂 .

Our weather was spectacular up here in Montana this weekend! SOS much so that I managed to be outside to enjoy it but here it is Monday morning and I’m saying to myself “ where did the weekend go?” Because I did not get anything done…🙃

Well you’re too sweet! I should have worn something “current”, but my jacket and my jeans are not recent purchases. I would share the details if I had any. The jeans are MOTHER brand which is my favorite right about now.

The weather was truly spectacular this weekend in Houston, too. My husband I celebrated our 22nd anniversary by going to to have BBQ and sit on the patio where we were surrounded by young families with their babies/children and doggies. It was really sweet.
